Overall look good, but run narrow and tight to the tip.

The Bull Run Moc Steele toe is a fine boot. Only draw backs include the break in period. Get some leather conditioner and oil that baby up. Also, get yourself some different insoles cause those bad boys are flat and hard. Make sure to warm your boots up before work and stretch that leather with thick wool socks too. Aside from that I was well pleased with the boot.

This is my first pair and I love them. Great fit and very comfortable. I’ll be getting another pair.

This is my second pair of Danner Moc Toe! First pair I bought for fun second pair I bought the steel toe for work since they were so comfortable! After 15 years of Red Wings this is the first shoe that made me switch! Amazing boots

Danner discontinued the workman that I’ve worn for almost a decade so I had to try something new. I wore a 12 normal in the workman and ordered 12 wide in these. Fit is exceptional no hot spots or slipping. It took about 3 full 12 hour days to break in the boot but now they fit like they are custom. These aren’t waterproof like the workman but i snow sealed them well and have had water over the stitching already and feet are dry. Time will tell how the soles hold up to daily outside industrial wear. So far I am very impressed.

Danner is definitely one of the best pair of boots I have ever bought...made in USA cant beat that..worth the extra money

Have been wearing work boots for about 2 weeks now. They broke in enough to tolerate in about 3 days. My right boot was made a bit more narrow than my left boot. You can clearly see the toe box is pointier on my right than left. It's not horrible but my pinky toe does feel a little discomfort. I get it, they're hand made. Or at least I think they are? But it does seem obvious that the steal toe isn't identical. That's my only gripe. Style wise, they look great and the material is high quality.

So far so good, about a week of break in time. Getting more comfortable the more I wear them.

I work as a truck mechanic and a car mechanic and these boots are doing just great.

It’s a tough shoe and very high quality. The grip on the bottom is fine although it traps mud easier so keep that in mind. The steel toe cuts into my toe box and there are some pretty minor pain points that is an ongoing issue. Otherwise I’d say that the fit is actually pretty good. I just wish that the wide version had a wide toe box/ steel toe.

I purchased these boots for Machinist training and to be worn in a Machine shop. So far they're pretty amazing. Only took about a week to break in and they have been very comfortable whilst standing for hours at a time. Highly recommend.

I’m an Engineer, and I work at a hospital. This boot is well designed. True to size. Comfortable right out of the box. BUT boots don’t last more than a year ! I wished they would last longer. Maybe it’s time to put a more durable sole.

They are well made, strong as a bull and soft as clouds to walk in all day long. Danner Dynamic is the only way to live.

Fit very comfortable but it’s to narrow and ordered ee

Overall it is a nice boot. I have to be careful not to tighten the laces much so the boot doesn't put pressure over the top outside of my foot. I am on my feet all day holding up horses as I provide foot care and apply shoes, I would say the sole could have just a little more cushion to it. My previous boot was the Keen San Jose. That sole was fantastic but couldn't hold up to the work. The lack of a fifth star is due to the mild discomfort over the top when tightened and the rigid sole.

2nd pair. Not a rugged shoe but cool for the summer. Laces are poor quality. Quite worn after one summer. For the price they get the job done. Next pair will be thorogood brand. Also hard break in. Not all that impressed with danner boots,

First time purchasing the Bull Run Moc Toe ST & I’m very happy with them so far. They broke in very fast and the comfort of the soles is Awesome. I wear Smartwool heavy hiker socks with them and the boots feel great even after a 15+ hour day. They’re holding up great as most Danner’s do. I’d definitely recommend these boots if your on your feet a lot and especially if your on concrete or hard surfaces all day. I have worn other Danner boots for years and they always build great boots.

Honestly the best fit ever for any boot I have bought GOAT

Took a solid 2 weeks to break in. I thought I was going to have to upsize until a buddy at work told me they have a 2-week break-in period. He was the one who recommended them to me and I had told him after the first day that they were hurting my longest toe and not allowing it to straighten out fully. I would say it was more like 2.5 weeks for a full break-in before I noticed that my toe could fully extend. This issue may have been due to an arch support insert, idk. I’m still using the arch support and the boot fits fine now. I keep track of my daily steps and it took close to 70 miles for a full break-in. I am a left below-knee amputee and these boots are awesome; love that they are so light.

Great boot, however it was a bit narrow for me witht he standard sizing, whereas other Danner boots so far have fit true to size. I had to return this boot and get a wide. I'm hoping the wide fits properly.

I purchased my 2nd pair, as I love these boots. I was surprised how narrow the new ones are. I have wide feet, and purchased the wide version. If there was an extra wide option, I would have gotten those. 3 years on the first pair and wear them all the time! Excellent boots.

I have a lot of trouble finding good work boots. I feel like I’ve struck gold with these guys.

I have been a longtime customer of these boots. I found that this pair had a tighter fit across the top of the boot were it pinches the top of my foot and leaves a mark on the top of my foot. This is located at where the beginning of where the laces start. Would of thought that purchasing the wider version would have provided more room. However that is not the case. The toe box is also very narrow on the wide version. To compensate for the wide foot, I had to order a larger size and the boot fits longer than I would have liked. Makes walking difficult. The most disappointing feature of my boots have to be the lacing hooks. I have broke x2 hooks just from walking. I don’t lace the boots tight just normal tie and comfortable lace up. Having only been using these boots for less than a month, I found this unacceptable and I am very disappointed as this has caused me further financial fixes on what I consider a basic function of the boot.

These boots look great and feel great after considerable break-in. My arches are medium and the boots feel supportive. They are narrow in a good way which provides stability and support. The insoles are just ok, but I replace all my insoles in all my boots with another brand I happen to like. My only real complaint is the weight. These boots are great for work very stable and supportive. They’re just a little heavier than I like for everyday wear around town. I would buy these again for sure.

The feel and comfort of the boot is great. I have bought the same boots before and they were great. However, the craftsmanship and attention to detail has gone down a bit. The tongue of the new boot is misshapen and doesn’t cover the front of the foot evenly. The previous boots were a bit more detailed.

Less then a year later this work boot is literally falling apart at the seams. Switched from RedWing to support a true American made company but these are nowhere near the quality as my past redwings and the price does not match the quality. I’d buy diehards before I paid 4x the price for these again.

Best work boot of purchased to date. My only complaint is that I’ve got to wear thick socks otherwise the top eyelet will rub the inside of my ankle on one of the boots. Otherwise no complaints. I’ll wear these boots casually not just for work.

Fits true to size, takes a bit to break in, but once you do, they’re very comfortable. High quality leather.

They felt great for the 2 weeks I had them. My last pair of Danners lasted 3 seasons fighting wildfires so was kind of disappointed with the stitching quality, seam blew out near the eyelet.

This is a very comfortable boot. I am happy with the quality and the craftsmanship; also quite attractive looking. The one thing that I am not thrilled with and this is the reason why I gave a four instead of a five, the shoelaces keep coming undone and I have to tie them over and over again; drives me nuts! Outside of that, fantastic boot

My first Danner steel caps , and very impressed nice and comfy on the mine site for 12 hours a day leather flexible and steel toe doesn't hit your foot which is always painful. I work in iron ore so the red dirt stains most shoes fairly quickly but the leather is going really well after 6 months.. nice boots will def use again

Really comfortable boots right out of the box. Nice leather smell too. True to size I’m a 9.5 and they fit killer! Absolutely love the low profile steel toe. Very happy I chose these over my usual brand!

The construction on these seems solid, and I really want to like them. However, these are the least comfortable boots I've ever owned. Maybe it's because I have high arches and wedge soles don't mix with a high arch? I feel like my feet are breaking at the balls every time I wear them. I do like the look, so I'll try again with insoles, but man, these are painful.

This will be my second pair and as expected it remains a trusted well fitting work boot. I went with a wider toe and it is a better fit. Keep up the excellent work Danner Team!

I accidentally ordered a non-ST pair of Danners and while they’re super comfortable, they’re not good for work. My ST boots showed up and, just like my first pair of Bull Runs, they fit and felt like a dream as soon as I pulled them on! They’re light but sturdy and are comfortable right out of the box. I highly recommend!

Out of the box the rear band around the top of the boot digs into the Achilles’ tendon if foot/ankle isn’t parallel to flat ground.

Durable, stylish, comfortable. Everything you need. Only wish I would’ve bought another pair. 10/10

Work 50 ish hours a week in automotive plant, boots have held up decently well aside from the rear if the soles already ripping apart from climbing in machinery. Break in period wasn't too bad. Definitely wish these were offered in composite toe. Toe box is just a tad narrower than I'd prefer.

Very comfortable once broken in. Appears to be great quality. I'm curious how the sole will wear since the tread pattern seems shallow. I have very wide feet and the EE width is still a bit too narrow. Otherwise 5 star pleased with my purchase

My boots have torn at the seems. And I can’t wear them to work anymore. I started wearing them on 1/3/24. Less then 3 months is use.

They did meet my expectations. I went back to my old Danners. For buying a wide boot they are not too wide at all. They are real tight in the toe box to the extreme that they hurt. The laces do not stay tight. Tying them 6 times a day. Understand break in but that’s not right. I was so looking forward to this boot. I normally buy 2 pairs right away and I’m glad I didn’t this time. I love how the Danner quality was but now I’m rethinking my next choice. These are not cheap boots and come with high reviews. Now they sit.

Comfortable (after the normal wear-in of the leather) and stylish boots--love them!

Bad news: 1. I am a female and ordered shoes in the men's section due to my personal stylistic preferences as well as my preference for larger shoe width. In spite of my generally flawless strategy, I found the Danner width to be a bit more narrow than what I would have preferred. It took about 2 weeks of discomfort and numbness in my both my left foot and lower legs, but they are finally starting to break in, 2. The shoe length was not as bad, but there was still some noticeable discomfort during the first 2 - 3 weeks, I think adding an additional 3-5 mm to the overall length would be a sufficient fix. 3. Finally, a colleague of mine received an extra set of laces from her recent order, but I only received one set of laces. As one would expect, this experience was severely FOMO triggering and may only be remedied by the shipment of an extra set of laces for my original order!!! (if not this is not possible, don't even worry about it - a 4 starts is still pretty good) Good news: 1. I will likely order larger width shoes next time as well as a half size larger from my original order to avoid the 3 weeks of physical discomfort. 2. I love these shoes and will continue to purchase from Danner for all future PPE footwear purchases.

First pair I bought the sole started splitting from the front of the shoe after 3 weeks. Returned and bought a second pair thinking it wouldn't happen again but it happened after a month. Love the boot besides those issues.

Received the boots as a gift. Great fit and comfort. Long days on my feet and they do great.

We're given a shoe credit where I work. We can get it on a 1 or 2 year plan. I felt confident using the 2 year plan knowing Danner quality. These boots didn't disappoint. I'm on concrete 12 hours a day and have to wear steel toes. Have had the job 35+ years so I've had experience with steel toe work boots. These Bull Run boots are superb. The comfort and durability can't be beat.

The steel toe box has been giving me issues with rubbing with sharp edges creating blisters. The toe box seems too tight as well. I reached out to customer service to see if I could swap out for a non-steel toe pair of the Bull Run. My older pair worked perfect.

Left shoe tongue keeps sliding to the side and bunches up feels uncomfortable like that.

Break in was brutal. These boots run narrow. Factory insoles were paper thin. It took several applications of mink oil and saddle soap to soften the leather enough, and replacement wide size insoles that forced the heels and arches out. I had to spend a good bit of money to get them wearable. They're good boots but my next pair won't be Danners

Great boot. Love the look and feel and comfortable after you break them in. I keep them loosely tied and have even stepped on the backs like a slipper in order to help break them in. Once broken in, they have been super comfortable and no issues as others have staged about falling apart or threads coming undone

They look great! Still haven’t tried them on yet. I bought them for work, but I don’t wanna get them dirty. Lol…

I’ve been wearing these for about 3 weeks now for 10 hrs a day. The best pair f boots I’ve owned so far. Worth the extra money.

The weight is just about right: heavy enough to know it's durably made and light enough to move about unencumbered. The steel toe is inobtrusive, as it should. The D width fit a little narrow, but EE width is perfect without being too wide.

I bought these boots because I had a house remodel project and figured I would have them for many years. I totaled maybe 9 weeks wearing these… the toes got totally torn up and stitching worn away from just basic work use, not abuse. The fit and comfort was amazing but the durability was a huge disappointment. Why market something as a steel toe work boot if you cant actually do real work in it? What a bummer.

Great boot but wear steel toe begins it rubs top of your foot no padding there.

Very uncomfortable at first but once broken in they are very comfortable. The tounge of the left boot doesnt seem to stay in place, pushes to the left almost to where the laces are hitting my ankle. I can tell the stitching around the toe isnt going to last long, also the leather seems to be very soft. Every day after work it seems a have a new gouge in the boot, a couple look like they almost went all the way through. I probably wont buy these boots again for work purposes, I need boots that will last and these dont quiet fit the bill but I do love the look.

Only work boot I buy now, for the last several years. Work construction and I typically replace them every two years. They last and once formed to your foot, they are 5/5 comfortable. Only thing I would like to see in the future is this model with a composite toe. Would be lighter and help with toes freezing in the winter. I usually wear a different boot for extreme cold when I’m outside all day.

Good stability, waterproof, very short break in time

I am currently ordering my FOURTH pair of these boots. Danner was recommended to me by a friend about 4 or 5 years ago and I have never bought another boot since. I am an industrial mechanic so I am on my feet on concrete all day every day working on CNC manufacturing equipment. Can't beat the comfort, can't beat the durability, and you absolutely can't beat the look. The Bull Run Mock Toes are the nicest looking work boots IMO. The only problem I have is deciding between black or brown leather. In the past, I have had to send a pair back that had the stitching fail while under warranty and it was super easy. Customer service is great, and I had the credit back in my account within a few days.

Craftsmanship is a 10 very beautifully made. The only problem I’ve had with breakin period was the toe edge digs in quite harshly to the side of my big toes. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

These boots are some of the roughest I've had while you brake them in, but give them a week to work loose and stretch a little. After that it's like wearing bedroom slippers. I'm rough on my boots and have scuffed and scratched them but I've never worn a hole in them. The leather is quality and stitched well. After 3 pairs of them (my company will buy new boots for me but wont pay for resoling) I doubt I ever get a different boot. I appreciate Danner as a company, and their crafts can't be beat.

So I am tough on shoes. I'm a big guy and spend a lot of time on my feet on concrete floors in a factory environment. I often buy Redwings but there's no place convenient for me to do so and since I was ordering I thought I would try these. I already have a pair of Mountain Lites and love those. My boots arrived after a long day. The shoes I had been wearing looked like they were held together with bubblegum at this point. They hurt my feet, knees and back. Then I put these on. At first I thought they seemed tight but once I stood up, wow! My ankles, knees and back all let out a sigh of relief. I wore these brand new boots all night at home and the next day. So great. I'm buying another pair.

I purchased these boots for my grandson who is taking welding classes. He said the fit is perfect and they are very comfortable. He is happy with this selection.

I work all day on uneven surfaces my feet and back were feeling it. The first thing I noticed was no more sore feet or back. Danner boots have always been my choice for hunting, but this is the first pair of Danner work boots that I have bought, so far I love them! Didn't take long to break in, maybe 2 days or so. Also, they shipped to Alaska for free!

Very comfortable boot although the durability is not there. Only a month since I got my new warranty pair these have already shown signs of maybe having 2 months max left. Will not buy again.

Nice quality but wish I went up a half size and wider. Finger loop to pull on the boot would’ve been sweet too.

Really liking these boots. Super comfortable and classic style! My only comment is that for those of us with thinner ankles the top of the boot comes together and causes the "quick lacing" to come undone. Possible to trim a little more material off, showing more of the tongue at the top the boot? My solution had been to fold my sock over which "thickens" up my ankle.

I've had these boots for a few weeks and I have to admit I've fairly impressed. The upper is nice enough it doesn't seem like a giant chunky boot, so it's reasonably suited for the office (probably more casual office). Lacing them up is actually relatively easy which is always a plus. If I was being critical though firstly I would have liked to see them with a slightly deeper grooved trend. I'm not sure how these would hold up on a slick surface, time will tell. Secondly, and to be fair Danner does say this in the listing, the bottom white soles get dirty/stain rather easy. It would be nice to have a darker sole color option, but I digress. The soles have a little more cushion then normal, so that is a nice feature. Even with those two things though, these are nice boots. The price is more than fair in my opinion given how long the Danner boots last. Granted like anything you need to see how it wears over time, but the one month impression is these are five stars.

This is about my 7th pair of these boots. They take a little while to break in, but once you get some miles on them they are very comfortable.

Ordered the same size I’ve had 7 pairs of Quarry wedge alloy toe (12D)and can’t even fit my foot in them, then ordered a size up (13D) and still short and way to tight width. Bring back the Quarry wedge… returned both pairs, finding something else.

Overall fit and finish are outstanding. Prepare for a tough break in period of two to three weeks but after that very comfortable and built to last.

Was my first time buying danner boots . A buddy of mine talked them up so much I ordered a set . This boots are just different and I can say I don’t care for the toungue or the laces but I get compliments on them. The tongue is probably the worst part being so thin and winkles up no matter what you do . The laces are not that great but I can’t put into words what I’m dealing with while tying my shoe laces

Steel toe is uncomfortable on the left toe can’t wear them because of this.

The toe box is way too narrow even with the wide toe option. I’m going to return mine and get the regular boot without steel toe.

Very comfortable after 3 days of breaking in. The only thing that gave me trouble is the tongue wrinkles over the top of the foot causing discomfort until it breaks in.

The boots are fine, well made and comfortable. I prefer the bull run Cristy boot but since it is not offered in safety toe I had to make this choice instead for work so that's why only 4 stars. Hope the Cristy is offered in safety toe soon. In my opinion it is a superior design. Lace to the toe and wears very well.

Took a little breaking in but after a couple of days these boots fit like a glove and scream of a quality build! One thing that I really like is that most steel toes that I have worn in the past have some amount of discomfort. I am wearing these all day and I don’t really notice any discomfort. Looking forward to putting in many hard days in my Bull Run ST’s

I can’t give an outright negative review as the boots seemed well built, however I ordered in the size I typically wear and have worn in the past from Danner (6” crucial in 10d) but went wider for comfort. (Into ee) While advertised as running true to size I could barely fit my foot into these width, length and overall room in the boot. and had to return. I don’t have a Danner retailer local and will probably have to shop a different brand that I can find locally rather than purchasing another pair of Danner boots online.

One of the most comfortable boots I have ever had on, very light weight but still tough. They do take a minute to break in and for my extra wide foot they are a little narrow.

These boots feel like they were made for my feet! I wear them all day every day, and they are so comfortable. I even got the steel toe, and no issue. I'm definitely happy I finally got my Danner boots!

I’ve always been a thorogood fan until I tried these. I’ll continue to buy Danner now. These are very well built and the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever worn. Took a few days to break in, but after oiling them a few times they softened right up. They are a very nice looking boot as well and I wear them away from work often since getting them.

I got these boots for my boyfriend, and he had only worn them 3 days and the leather started to peel away from the sole. He works construction and is hard on his boot, he absolutely loves the style and comfort of the boot, however he is super disappointed that they are starting to fall apart after only a few days of wearing them.. I would have expected a much better product/quality from the Danner name, especially for the price.

Loved the boot but had to return 2 sizes because the steel toe box was too small/narrow. Wish this was available in a composit toe.

I absolutely love these boots! No insole required. The first few days were a bit brutal on my heel, so I wore heel bandaids. Mostly because they needed to soften up and tying them too tight I’m guessing. On the 4th day of wearing them I didn’t wear the bandaids on my heels and they easily became my favorite work boot. I’ll always keep these moving forward. They do fit to size, so do not buy under size like you would with most boots. I’m an 11 and I always bought 10.5 because most boots are slightly bigger. These I was lucky to buy 11 and they were perfect.

Boots generally last me a year, and these held up to my standard. I work on different surfaces all day, but I would not recommend the wedge if you’re solely on asphalt everyday. Steal toe isn’t bulky or noticeable, which is nice. Take advantage of the stitch down construction / nice leather welt, and get them resoled. You’ll get a nice, broken in boot with a fresh sole.

Hands down best looking and feeling boot out there period. No break in needed comfortable from day one. It’s my favorite boot. The only thing I would say that is negative is that that I wear them out fairly quick. All said though it will stay my boot. Danner#1

Very comfortable, seemingly well made and exactly what I wanted.

Bought these boots for working on a cement floor in a warehouse all day. After 5 days, the bottom of my heels hurt so bad! Rest of the boot feels fine. The insoles just sink right down to the hard foot bed. For the amount of money spent on a trusted brand, Im very upset and wished I bought something different.

I’ve been wearing the Justin steel toe cowboy boot style since forever. I love them, but not really great going up and down side slopes and steep hills. So decided to switch to this style. So far they are doing well. Not much of a break in period was needed; wore them 2 weeks straight 14 hours a day right out of the box with no blisters or odd rubbing.

The ones in the store fit perfectly but the ones we ordered online were tight on the toes.

The boots appear to be well made. They are pretty comfortable right out of the box. Time will tell how they stand up. So far, I am very happy with my purchase. I had to return my first pair as these boots are quite narrow. The return and reorder process was pretty easy.

Best working boot I have ever purchased. At first it’s very stiff around the ankle part but like new durable leather you have to break it in. Other than that it’s a comfortable boot to work in a 8 hour shift and more. Super light weight as well. 100% recommend this awesome boot you won’t regret it.

Boot quality feels and fits great. Toe box compartment can be extremely narrow when picking exact shoe size. Could be the steel toe attachment itself making it tight.

Great boots. I work in these all day out in the elements and they are very comfortable. Would recommend for anyone who works outdoors or in a shop.

These are the second pair I have owned. And other than the foam sole wearing too quickly, I have only one complaint/request. Please put a loop for laces on the tongue to help keep it in place. The tongue on both pairs of boots falls to the outside and wrinkles, making for a very discomforting feel on the top of the foot.

These boots are really comfortable once broken in. Danner service is awesome to deal with as well

Don't be fooled, these boots are not built for real work. After 4 months of landscape and forestry work the seams on my steel toe Bull Runs are blown, there is a large gash in one of the soles simply from using a shovel, and overall they are completely blown out. This is a little bit more disturbing considering steel toe boots are assumed to be protecting your feet from injury, but after just a short period of time these boots are leaving my feet directly exposed. I don't want to rag on Danner too hard, I was impressed with my Vicious Comp Toe's, but these are definitely not work boots, and if you work with saws or heavy machinery they could be dangerous. On a separate note, even with the Wide size these are still much narrower than the regular width Vicious, would not recommend if you have wide feet.

Love these boots, this is my second pair. First pair lasted 8 months of hard use, and from a big guys opinion that is awesome.

Had these boots before and they were great. Ordered another pair and the craftsmanship was very poor. The top of one of the boots was stitched crooked.

I tried 2 different sizes and could not find a good fit, think it was due to steel toe. Great boots otherwise. Would like to try a non steel toe.
