Awesome work boot. Will buy another pair when the time comes...

Horrible product, had to return! Tongue wasn’t big enough in boot, inside of shoe where grommets are located was sharp and digging into ankles. That was the second pair! First pair of boots the tongue had a bubble wasn’t stitched properly!

I’ve owned these boots for about 1 month now and the break-in period is during the winter in PA. I work in the residential construction industry. The boot is well made and I chose the one with no extra padding around the ankle. The break-in period is rough on the ankles, but is getting better all the time. If you buy these be prepared for that due to no padding. The reason I gave these a 3-star rating is because of the speed hooks and lacing order. They have 3 eyelets at the bottom then 3 sets of LIGHT-DUTY brass speed hooks followed lastly by a single eyelet set at the top. I knot the ends of my laces. When tying them, I pull the loops all the way through to the ends and I use a double knot. This helps me not have to worry about laces coming undone or loose during a work day. Having that single eyelet at the top means I can’t use it without untying my knot in the laces. *This is not a craftmanship defect, in my opinion it’s a functionality defect* It’s like they were designed by people who don’t work in outdoor environments or only work in a specific controlled environment. My recommendation is to have all eyelets at the bottom and use better heavy-duty speed hooks *This is the craftmanship issue* at the top only (1 or more sets, it doesn’t matter). The boot itself seems to be good quality stitching and materials. For as well as it’s made they used light duty speed hooks. My hooks are already spreading open and I foresee them breaking prematurely. Hopefully not though. Overall, I don’t recommend this boot for someone who needs their laces tight due to the weak brass speed hooks; however, I really like the quality of the stitching and remaining materials.
