This hat arrived a few weeks ago & I'm delighted with it. It is very well made and fits my head perfectly. I wear it while driving an open 1923 Model T car and it protects my head the same way any cowboy hat protects a rider on a horse. It is good & stiff and resists distortion while being buffeted by the wind. It stays firmly in place with the help of a pair of loop style stampede strings. The "retro" style goes well with the old car without being over the top.

Same great felt and features my great grandfather, grandfather, father and I have worn in the west for over 125 years. I don’t work the rangeland, but know even 4x will keep the rain and sleet and snow off

Hello, I am disappointed in the workmanship. The hat band had a piece glued over where the ends were stapled together. Not sewn, stapled. The cover piece fell off. The front of the sweat band has the hat markings stamped where it rests on the forehead. Not a good look after removing hat.

Love the hat. Really shocked how many people like the hat when they see me. Wish it came in a gray for this time of year and was a little heavier. But it was 1 degree with a -15 windchill and still was pretty comfortable on my bald head.

This hat is beautiful, soft, top quality, well constructed, comes w/a turkey feather for the band, and is shipped in a nice sturdy box for storage. The fit is spot on, too. Sits comfortably on your head, and doesn't come off when bending over or in wind, etc. (If you measured your head properly before ordering, of course.) The interior of the hat is lined w/satin, looks very nice, and is well constructed where it meets your head. The leather band is the icing on the cake - a really nice one of substantial size and design. A really, really nice hat and a very fine "Made in the USA" product. Top notch.

I had to order this online because they didn't carry it in my local Boot Barn store. It fit just a bit snugger than my other Stetson cowboy hat but I have a hat stretcher and just needed to tweak it a little bit and now it is perfect. It looks great and is of excellent quality, living up to the Stetson name. I'm very happy with this purchase

It is a very soft well fitting comfortable hat I ordered the wrong size a size smaller and after a few days in a hat stretcher it fits perfectly. Well pleased will buy again when and if this one wears out

Nice hat but size runs small. I wear 7 1/2 which I ordered, but when I tried it on, was very, very tight. I contacted Stetson to see if the hat came in regular oval or long oval and the response I got back recommended using a hat stretcher. I could have figured that out by myself.

Fit is perfect, looks awesome according to others, and it keeps the sun off my face ears and neck. It is providing all my expectations and then some.

I grew up in the 1950s when cowboys were kings...the Gus hat gas always been a favorite of mine and I just impulsively snapped this hat up. It did not disappoint. Came with a turkey feather to tuck in the band! If you know someone who has never even so much as ridden on a pony at a fairground, you DO something about that... You get them to a stable and get the on a horse ASAP. And put a hat on them, too.

The inside headband stitching was visible in the front due to it being below the bottom of the hat band. It makes the hat look very cheap and of poor quality. Otherwise I pleased with the hat.

Compared to some other Stetson hats I purchased, the Broken Bow has the flattest brim. I didn't anticipate this would b's a great e a negative, as the overall appearance makes the hat too big for my head, and somewhat uncomfortable if I tilt my head back. It's a great hat if you have a larger size head.

It is a Stetson what more can one say. There is a little surprise in your hat box when you receive your hat. I did not see it in the description but it was a nice surprise. The picture doesn’t do it justice, the hat is better looking in person. I am not going to ruin the surprise in the hat box.

I purchased this particular hat because of size and shape of the brim . I am 71 years old and have been walking in the sun for many years and ended up with carcinoma skin cancer ( not the deadly kind but bad enough ) . With this hat I can walk from 10 am until 2 pm when the sun is high in the sky and have protection for face ears and neck . Great hat for those spending time in the sun cowboy or not !!!

I got this hat over a month ago and have won it several times. I live in TEXAS where hats are a dime a dozen but when I walk in with this one on people stop and look even old hard core Cowboys. My next one will be same style but in black.

Been wanting this hat for over a year now. Finally purchased a month ago and I just can't stop wearing it. I have 2 other Stetson Buffalo hats that I really like too. But this one has the more size and style.

Ordered the hat one size larger than I normally wear, it came in to small and sent it back for next size up and was later told the hat was no longer available. Only good side was the people were nice.

Previous reviews had indicated that this hat was a little small for size. I wear 7-1/8 from several other hats I've had. So I ordered a size larger... 7-1/4 ... and it fits perfectly. Great hat! Holds shape well and looks outstanding. I love the slant-forward crown type.

I love the hat. However, I was a tiny bit disappointed in the fit. It feels like it is too small even though it is my size. There is something about the shape I think that prevents the hat from being pulled down onto your head the way it should be. Instead it kind of creeps up and won't stay put. I am trying to figure out if I should go up a size......

Just what I expected. Gus style hat that carries out the tradition. Its my second. Unfortunately, it had some imperfections embedded in the felt.

I love the design and style of this hat. I use this as an all-around outside hat and the color hides sweats stains well. It is getting better with more "character" as it ages. A great hat, and the included feather was a nice touch!

This was the worst shaped hat that I ever purchased. I was really surprised since it was a Stetson. I have spent hours trying to re-shape it by myself without much success. I will never purchase another cowboy hat without seeing it first. Lesson learned.

I will admit I am biased, Stetson hats just seem to fit me right. This particular hat has quickly become a favorite. The craftsmanship is great, good felt, excellent liner, even the hatband (which I normally consider a throwaway item) is pretty nice. If you have a medium oval head, this hat will be very comfortable. The brim is well formed and wide enough to provide good coverage from the sun through most of the day. Heck, even my wife likes it.

Beautiful, well-made Stetson hat. Color slightly darker than pictured. Very stiff so it will hold it's shape. Very tight but was able to stretch it just enough. I'd order 1/8 size larger than you normally do. Love the hat!

This is an amazing hat that I have worn in the mountains, ranch, bad weather and downtown. It breaks in very nice and holds its form very well, is durable and true.

I purchased this hat as a Christmas gift for my husband. It absolutely loves it and fits him perfectly. It will last the rest of our lives. I attempted to purchase the same hat for myself, but in a smaller size and learned a valuable lesson. Hats made by different companies fit people differently. I returned the original hat I purchased for myself and ordered a size smaller. I am now in the process of returning it. My point is that the Shepherd staff have handled my purchases and returns with the up most professionalism and kindness.
