The only "bad" thing about this vest is that you want to buy it in other colors, too. Perfect 10/10. Highly recommended.

Received the Scully lamb's leather black vest for Christmas. Fits like a glove!. Very nice soft quality leather, good consistent color throughout, quality stitching despite being made in India (NOT China like other cheaper vests!). Vest is lined, pockets are functional for thin items - i.e. tickets. Only weakness, button stitching is weak, may need to be redone with thicker thread after initial wearing. Otherwise recommendable, dress vest - looks great over a dress shirt or under jacket/coat. Sheplers - Competitive pricing, quality shipping, came well packaged, dry/clean despite sitting outside several hours in poor wintery weather prior to coming home.

I bought both the Black and the Black Cherry. The Black Cherry appeared more brownish in the photo, vs the brown which looked more tan or mocha, rather then brown. I made the right choice. the black cherry looks fantastic. Though not quite a brown, I'm able to wear it with most things that brown would go with. I can also wear it with my tan Dan Post boots and some black things. The Black vest of course goes with almost anything. The nice thing about both vests is, they can be dressed up ( wear with sports pants/wool or tweed blazer) or jeans, or even khakis. The leather is very soft and smooth. The downside is, the leather is VERY thin. I think if you put even the slightest pressure when buttoned, they leather could rip. Th fit seemed to run just a bit small. I wear a size L (sometimes an XL) in shirts/t shirts/jackets/coats. Mostly a 44, sometimes a 46. As with my Scully leather blazer I bought last year, I went up to a size 48. It's just slightly big, but that's ok, because of the thin/lightweight leather, it lays very nicely on your frame. I would definitely recommend this product. I'm probably going to go back for the brown/tan one as well!!!

However, lost two buttons first day! A vest of this quality should use backer buttons. I have the black vest as well and it arrived with backer buttons, and no issues.

I received a brown vest for Christmas, and wanted a black one also. However: the buttons on both vest were not attached securely and I had to sew them back on after only one wearing. You need to contact the MFG and tell them to work on the attachment of the buttons, otherwise everything was great quality

Not nearly as nice as my last vest I ordered ??? White residue marks on front and back .They came off after I used a damp cloth but not sure it was worth the money. Last vest was awsome,guess I was spoiled. Sorry for the mixed review but its the truth.

My new Shepler vest is exactly as advertised. It is soft lamb skin and light weight, exactly what I wanted. It is nice enough to wear for dress and common enough for part of a biker's dress. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a first class, nice looking vest.

Very nice feel in the lamb leather.  Nice fit.  Only one problem...the top button pulled out and loosened.  I had to re-sew it back into place.  It appears the buttons are put on with a machine and it was not as secure as the others.  Other than that it is a great vest.

Read the sizing instructions and actually ordered one size larger. The vest was at least two size too small. The vest itself was great looking and the leather soft and smooth.

Sent it back for a hundred bucks I expect alittle more
