I like everything but the finish. They are really just about perfect in every other way! I would have paid more for a different finish. Color is fine, service was fast, and I'm sure the finish will grow on me over time. Excellent fit, too -

Look good and starting to be more comfortable as they break in. A bit disappointed with the polyester lining. That won’t breathe or wear as well as traditional leather lining.

Very good and fast service. Not a bad looking boot, way too small. Boots marked 13-D (as ordered ) didn't fit me or my son's size 10 1/2 foot. Boots returned.

I were them for one day and my feet were killing me I am not sure if they run small but had I known I would have gotten a wide so they are of no use to me

I am 76 and have trouble pulling up a normal boot. This boot with the zipper gives me the look and feel I want without laboring to pull it on. Great job!

I got just what I wanted in a dress boot. With a little stretching for my toes on the left boot, I expect to wear them out in a few years.

These look great and have had many compliments - great quality.

While they look awesome, after only about 7 wears at the office, the heel has started to wear a little more than boots at this price range should arrive at. I’d suggest leather soles rather than rubber.

I bought a pair of these Abilene Sage zipper boots in black. Man are they sharp! The photo doesn't do them justice. They are nicely crafted, and elegantly shaped and styled. The shaft is just the right width to balance out the boot. The zippers work smoothly, and the leather on the shaft is supple and comfortable. The black leather is slightly textured with a nicely polished finish. I purchased these boots from Sheplers.com, and they were shipped to me directly from the Abilene Boot Company really fast. I already owned a pair of Abilene standard shaft cowboy boots, which are great, high-quality boots. My new Abilene Sage zipper boots are the same high quality. I take a size 8 1/2 D, and I would say that these boots are true to size. They are designed just a tad more narrow than the typical D width, but that contributes to their stylish look. I first tried them on with boot socks, which are thick, and the boots felt a tad snug. Then I realized I probably don't need boot socks with low shaft zipper boots, so I tried them with a pair of medium thickness dress socks, and they were perfect. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
