I have had my Roper Women's Performance Casual Shoes for at least a year. I wear them at the barn. They are made of thick leather which I feel will give me some protection if I get stepped on by a horse. They are comfortable and are holding up well. They often get wet when I am rinsing a horse. It does not seem to hurt them. They were a little roomy inside so I put an extra insert from an old pair of shoes in them. With the two inserts they now stay on my feet when I run! My husband just recently bought a pair and he also likes them.

Needed a new pair of slip on shoes at the ranch. When the rain hits the mud shows up. I am in and out of the house all day and these work great. Boots are great but hard to get on and off quickly. Great feel from the start. Got them on right now.

We have bought numerous pairs of this style Ropers over the past few years. They are very affordable and extremely well made.

I have a wide foot so I have a challenge sometimes in getting shoes to fit correctly. These Ropers fit really well and are light weight. Plus, I didn't realize how much I appreciate a bit of a heel instead of flat work shoes.

Order them 1/2 to 1 size larger than normal for the best fit. Otherwise, they are very comfortable to wear and can be worn all day the first day.

I bought my first pair of these shoes probably 10 years ago at a store closing sale, and they quickly became my favorites… sturdy, comfortable, easy to take off and on. I wore them most days… the smooth leather uppers looked fine when a smarter look was desired. They were a favorite for travel since easy to doff for airport security and versatile enough to serve several purposes. When they finally wore out the closest replacements I could find were suede, a bit scruffy by comparison. Happy to find a new source at Sheplers. The new shoes have a bit coarser texture, perhaps pigskin instead of cowhide, so not quite as quite as smart, but the other qualities are still there.
