Painful
City Carrier Rob

First off, what’s the idea with the thin laces. It is painful just to lace up the boots! I don’t expect to pay over $180 for boots and immediately have to replace the laces because Rocky cheaper out on the laces.
Secondly, the design of the boot doesn’t hold the heel in place so the heel is constantly moving against the boot leading to blisters and (you guessed it) PAIN! This is only exacerbated by the cheap laces making it impossible to get the laces tight.
I will put new laces on and so if that helps. But with a mixed mail route just walking the 5 miles a day is impossible with these boots. I’d always heard good things about Rocky so I’m very disappointed and out $180 of my uniform allowance. Back to the drawing board to find a good pair of “postal approved” boots. Starting to think that’s a myth!!

I have worn these boots since Rocky came out with them. I was a letter carrier for the post office and I would wear these every day Very comfortable and well made. I am still wearing my last set I bought about 7 yrs ago I have been retired now for 6 yrs still going strong

Not as wide as I needed. Had a little difficulty getting them to stretch to my width even though I purchased wide width. Overall great for all day walking after getting them stretched out

This a great boot! I've worn many types of boots over the years and finally a boot that's perfect for me. I'm a letter carrier for the U.S.P.S LIGHT BUT FIRM, no fatigue 9 -10 hrs a day no problem this is my second pair. Buying another in March.

Painful & Disappointing

The first pair of chukka boots I ordered several years ago were very comfortable work shoes. Each pair I have ordered since have been increasingly uncomfortable -- so I decided to try the postal chukka boots to see if they would be any different. The postal chukkas are just as painful & uncomfortable. Very disappointing.

one pair of boots but two different soles. one of the soles was the regular foam wrapped in rubber but in the second boot the entire sole was completely comprised of foam, no rubber whatsoever

I have been using Rocky Boots for about 5 years now and they never disappoint. I have used their steel toe, composite toe and regular work boots and shoes and they can take a beating working in factories and warehouses.

I’ve been a carrier for 3 years and I just got a pair of these boots about a year ago and I loved them so much I’ve ordered another pair, one because the sole was starting to lean and two because there so comfortable.

20 yr carrier and these are the best all season footwear for the deep south....we get snow very rarely like once every 4 or 5 years and I don't need much protection from that so rubber overshoes are best down here. Good arch and ankle support for walking routes and last well into your next allowance date. I also usually have 2 pair available so I can rotate them to extend life and air them out. I use the Thorlo ankle socks with these for a nice comfortable fit.

I bought a pair 1 year ago and the sole is coming apart. I only wear them when it is cold, so less than 6 months, am retired and do not put many miles on them. There is still plenty of tread but is separating from upper.

I bought this boot approximately a month ago. To my surprise they are very comfortable. Minimal break-in period. Water resistant. I love the fact that its a 5inch height fo better ankle protection. Especially for those that suffer from ankle rolls/sprains. My only issue is that the toe box narrows to the front, which makes it a little short. The width is perfect no squeeze there. Thats the only reason why I did not give a 5 star rating. If that can be adjusted in the future I definitely purchase another pair. As for now I use this pair as a back ups/a

I bought this pair 2 year ago and just now need to replace. I am on my feet all day doing about 2 miles of walk and standing on concrete. Best for comfort and durability.

I wear my boots for a long time. 5-7 years. Rocky boots really last but not these ones. They have micro sized laces that always need double tied. The laces are too short also, with only 4" left to tie with. Then the soles separated on year 2! They also had gotten sloppy with the boot heel not staying directly under my heel. Rocky makes good boots, just not these ones.

I've been carrying a walking mail route for 10+ years now, these are my shoes of choice. I started out wearing the plain chukkas (which are also great), but I tried these my 2nd year and have been getting them every year since then. They are good on pavement and very good on unpaved surfaces. Very stable, broad sole that dissipates the constant pounding your feet get from walking 15+ miles in a day, 6 days a week. Only downside would be the trade off for the breath ability is morning dew will seep through if you're walking through grass in the morning. I wear mine until the soles are completely thrashed.
