finally a boot im happy with. i have bought rocky before and was disappointed so i ordered these but did not have high hopes. i own a pair of rocky over the calf side zip waterproof snake bite proof boots that are a real disappointment, the zippers dont extend far enough so you cant get the boot off using just the zippers unless you wear them loose, and the eyelets are actually open hooks so when you unzip it the laces just fall out of the hooks, so the zippers are useless. HOWEVER THESE NEW Alpha Force Boots are GREAT. the zippers are long "enough" that i can get my foot out with the boot securely tight. (although it wouldnt hurt if the zippers were a touch longer and thats the only reason i dont give these a 10 out of 10, i give them a 9.5, just a little more zipper wouldnt be a plus). the insulation is amazing, i have had bates insulated side zip and those were nothing compared to these, same with my sorels, no comparison in warmth, the 400g insulation in these is so warm and comfortable. as well the insole footbed is really thick comfy rubber so standing in them is great. also the soles are softer rather than hard, my bates duty boots, the soles were SO hard, they were like plastic and were slippery on wet pavement and horrible on ice, the rocky boots the rubber sole is perfect, not to hard not to soft, as well they are quiet, my bates soles you could hear me coming down the street a block away. also the soles are really deep tread, unlike my bates. these rocky's also have a "shined" look to them so they are good with uniforms. i have had them in deep snow with very cold weather and my feet are the most warm and comfortable they have been in years, they are just surprisingly comfortable to stand or work in. SIZING; i normally wear an 11/11.5 but in these i wear a 10.5, which is interesting bcuz in my bates i also wore 10.5 but ALL my other shoes and boots are size 11 to 12, so these run large, however they also run slightly narrow, which works perfect for me since i have a slightly narrow foot, my bates, sorels etc, much wider, also the insulation in these is so thick that it contributes to it being narrow, i think they will widen a little after a bit more time but not much, so if you know for sure you have a wide foot you might need to order a wide instead. other than that i have not had them submerged in water yet, my bates were water tight, these look and feel 100 times better quality then those so i have every expectation they will be water tight.

I bought my Alphas about two years ago. I am always on the go at work and they have really held up. They're very comfortable. My only issue with them is that they absolutely will set a metal detector off every time. The stabilizer may not be metal but the eyelets and hooks for the laces are. I must go through metal detectors everyday at work and often for several different agencies, meaning multiple detectors. Never once have these boots gone through without setting them off.

I’m a UPS driver out in the elements. Love these boots. They are waterproof & keep my feet warm & dry all day. I also have the non-insulated & they also keep my feet warm.

The warmest, most comfortable boots I have yet to date, keeps my feet absolutely warm and dry - Getting compliments daily on the style, and the functionality of these boots are outstanding

I bought my first pair in July 2014 and I really only have one complaint, which is that the heals section on the inserts seem to wear out the fastest. Lately it just seems like my heals are on fire after about 6 hours of wearing them. But other then that these are the best pair I have owned on the Law Enforcement or Military side.

Great boots purchased them because my feet were getting cold but now no problem warm and comfortable. Will purchase again. Love the zipper it works great

I ordered these boots looking for something versatile to wear in all weather, especially with snow in mind. The boots looked great, and reminded me of my years in the military! I put them on and shoved the snow right after putting a couple coats of polish. They are great! I walked a mile to the store, and they felt great on my feet. These boots are so well made and the quality is better than what I was issued in basic. I wish I would have known about this company years ago, because I doubt I'll order from anyone different in the future.

What can I say this is my 6th pair of these boots haven't worn anything else in the last 10 years.

Used the boots for two shifts and after the second, side zipper on one boot would not unzip. Spent 30 minutes attempting to unzip it with no success. Currently in the process of exchanging.

Bought the boots for a mix of outside and inside.

These boots zipper was so stiff, had to spray Wd-40 on them.The boots are narrow in the toe area, had to have them stretched 3 times. Rocky needs to make the toe box wider.

My 2nd pair. 1st pair lasted for 3 years and had to replace as I wore the heals out. With that said, my only dislike is boots need better heal support on the inserts. Im sold as these are the best boots on the market!!!

I bought the 6 inch boot prior and I have to say it was one of the most comfortable boots I've worn. I just bought the 8 inch boot with side zip and it almost feels like there's no inside cushion. The zip on the right boot malfunctions from time to time, but other than that good boot for the money!

Comfortable, warm, however zippers are very stiff, while zipping up boot actually got caught on the leather and tore. Zipper became stuck, had to use pliers to get zipper unstuck.... Need to redesign zipper itself.

These boots were broke in by the end of the day which was amazing! They are also very comfortable!!

Bought these boots a month ago. Never had this brand but I’m a police officer in the Midwest so I figured I give them a try. Comfortable right out of the box and did not need to break them in. Have kept my feet warm and dry!! Would buy another pair no questions asked!! You can’t beat the price!

The boots are what I expected from having previously worn them. The selection, ordering and check out procedures were easy and fast. The boot were delieverd well within the time they said they would be.

Comfortable boots. Having worn combat boots for thirty years, I didn't think I would like the zipper, but it is convenient.

Wife bought me these last year. Great boot great fit. 2 complaints. 1st is don't expect them to shine whatsoever. 2nd after 1 winter In Pennsylvania the soles near the toe tip began separating from the leather. Luckily there's a talented shoe maker in my area. Fellow Officers all say wear and invest in Danner or Southwest Boot Company. Pay more but American made. After 29 yrs. in Law Enforcement now you'd think Id learn.

I’m hoping they will work out. I went with the wider size, hoping they wouldn’t crush my foot on the sides. They will definitely need some breaking in. They seem to be very well made and should keep my feet warm through the winter months. I really like the tread as well!

Bought this couple of weeks ago, I had one before and I like it, so I decided to buy another one of a higher insulation.

I have been wearing these for about a month now and am very happy. They have been tested in below zero temps and have performed great keeping my feet warm all shift long. The only issue I have is the tread has not been very good on the ice. I tend to slide very easy. I would love to see a little more aggressive pattern or something on the top of the tread to grip better. Other then that no complaints. They are completely waterproof as stated even with the side zipper. Great Product!

The boots are comfortable and keep my feet dry and warm. I live in Maine, so they have to put up with lots of snow, slush, and cold. These boots come through on all points. I've only two complaints. (1) The lining alongside the zipper on my right boot is torn up because the material got stuck in the zipper when I first started wearing the boot. Now, whenever I zip my boot, I have to insert my finger directly underneath the zipper to keep the lining from getting caught. This is major hassle, and makes putting it on a tad challenging. (2) The laces on both boots have frayed in a couple spots, so the the inner cord that makes up the heart of the lace is poking through. I've only had these boots since December, so I'm troubled that these two issues have happened in less than three months of wear. However, these issues in way affect the overall performance of the boots. Once I have them on, I can head outside to snow blow, get up on the roof to remove snow, or whatever. When I'm on ice, I feel that the tread is more secure and provides a better grip. I'd love to give these boots five stars, but the torn lining and frayed laces force me to knock two stars off.

I like these boots,so much that I kept on over 12 hours and only took them off because I had to go to bed,very comfortable.I can't put my feet in or take them out useing the zipper,that's cool I like to lace up anyway.The shoe strings are showing ware and tear already,only had them for about 2 months.I don't like that.

This my 3rd pair. Hard to beat price for comfort and quality. Only complaint I have is that the fabric in the back of boot tears easily. Every pair has done this in a matter of months.

I purchased my first pair back in 10/2008 and have never looked back. I've done automotive maintenance (where we regularly step in hazardous oils and other chemicals) and the soles gave me a guranteed no slip grip. I thought the chemicals would eat through them rather quickly, but only after six years (03/2014) did I finally have to replace them.

Most comfortable boots that I have had. I spend all day outside on my feet being a Yard Sergeant in a prison. Enjoying the dry, warm, comfort of my new boots!!!! The zipper is a bit difficult to use or I would have given 5 stars!

Not even a month old and the glue holding the toe box to the sole is coming unglued. Unbelievable for the price I paid that they couldn't last longer than 30 days. Unreal. Terrible plastic piece that digs into your heel. I had to tape up the toes. I will never buy another pair of these shoes, and I'll make sure everyone that's looking for boots knows to avoid these.

The boot is awesome ! This is my second pair as the first has taken years of abuse and held up well. I had a week delay in shipping, however when I called to investigate they promptly corrected their error.

Needed to replace my Danners for worm after the heel blew out. Ive had rockys for hunting so decided to give then a try. If they keep making this boot, I will never buy a different brand again. These boots are extremely comfortable. I was worried about the break in since theyre stiff right out if the box but 0 issues. Wear them 12 hours a day and my feet feel great. Temps have been down to single digits outside and were ive been required to stand in one area for 20-30 min and no issies with the cold. Will purchase again
