Great pair of boots

I have to buy boots about every 6-8 months and I decided to try these. Nice boots, very comfortable, didn't take long to break in great addition to my boot assortment gives me a good option to rotate my boots so as not to wear them out so fast

I just purchased my 2nd pair of '1st MED' boots. My 1st pair lasted me 3 years and 5 months (bought from another company). They lasted plenty long enough for the price. The only issue I really ran into was the laces tore (which is normal wear and tear) and one of the top eyelets had the plastic piece fall off just recently. And, of course, the normal "heel" wear from taking on and off over 1,000 times (literally). They stayed water proof the entire time. Never had any tears in the leather or Cordura. The side zippers held up the entire time. The composite toe saved me a few times and never dented or shifted. The break-in period was about 2 weeks. I wore them loose (un tied) around the house for a couple hours each day just to get used to them. They fit very true to size (at least for me). If you're looking for a very solid EMS boot, look no further cause you found it.

I have had mine for a little over 3 years and I'm a full-time firefighter. We run ambulance calls to the tune of 18,000 per year. The side of my boot where the tongue attaches has ripped 2 years in. For what I paid I expected these boots to last longer than 3 years.

I love these boots, very comfortable and durable. Yes the zipper sticks but so does the zipper on my bates. my only complaint is the fabric eyelets. I've torn up two pairs of these boots in four years.

They are heavy, stiff and I had to return 2 pair right out of the box due to poor construction. Retned the 3rd pair just because of the hassle. Don't recommend these at all.

This is the third pair of these that I have purchased. It takes about a month to really break these in. Once they are broke in, they feel great and quite secure. I would rather have the metal loops for the strings though as the last two pairs have de-laminated where the strings go through the loops. I have one pair right now that I must return due to this and due to one of the string loops breaking from tightening them on securely. I Would recommend these boots. I just wish that they would last longer as far as securing them tightly. I must have them tight so that I feel secure and confident with the work that I do.

I bought the boots back in April of 2016 due to the features they have being in the fire/ems field. and after two months the reflective striping began to fade and the foam around the heel of the boot was coming apart and recently the entire sole of the boot came off from the boot. Also with the boot being 10" makes it hard to put on for calls during the evening hours.

Boot looks great and is comfortable. I do not care for the zipper and tongue design. I got a sore from it rubbing against my ankle. Wore higher socks, but didn't really help. Probably would choose a different boot next time.

I've had these boots for a couple weeks now and am impressed so far. They are light weight. Have the side zipper I love and the quality seems top notch! Haven't tested the water proof claim but I believe they are going to do just fine

Worst boot ever owners

This without a doubt is one of the worst boots I have ever owned. The toungue seperated, the boots began to fade after 4 months, not to mention this was my second pair because the original tore on the inside liner. This without a doubt is th worst product and footwear I have ever owned. Was highly disappointed and went back the the paratrooper style boot.

I have been wearing these for about four weeks now and they are getting very comfortable now. but the first week or so was rough, the top rim is very stiff and cut into my leg. they run a little big. they fit well at first but now that the padding has settled down they are a little loose.the reflective accents are a great safety feature.

I work 14 hour days for a food delivery service. These boots are ok for the 1st 6 or so hours, bit later in the day the puncture resistant sole really gets uncomfortable. I absolutely love the postal service approved 8 inch boot in every way. I returned the 1st responder boots and bought the ladder of the two. The sole on the 1st responder is also extremely slick on wet or soapy floors. Needles to say I was disappointed due to the fact that every other Rocky boot I've bought was a great fit.

Got the boots about a month ago and it is a great boot, one of the eyelets came off when tighting and one zipper sticks sometimes but is a good boot and I would buy them again.

This is my second pair of this exact boot, except one size larger than before. This is due to my feet spreading out from the last pair. Greater stability on the trail, less split toes, less fungus, all reasons why I ordered my second pair. Recommended by a friend and I would do the same.

Really like these boots
Paramedic 1728
May 24, 2015
I bought a pair of these boots 3 years ago. I work as a Paramedic working 24 hour shifts. They worked very well for me, no problems with the zippers. I just had to buy a new pair because the sole started to separate. These are very comfortable boots, light weight, they wear like shoes and preform like boots. They are the best boots I have had in my 20 year career. I would buy them again because I just did!!

I wore Rocky boots while in the Army they we're comfortable and durable. I've only wore the 1st med to break them in before my emt class, thus far they are really comfortable. I hope they last along time if they do I'll definitely purchase more.

So far I am happy with these boots. Some of the reviews say that they feel weird at first and this is true but once they are broken in they feel nice. A little heavier than I thought they would be. Also have to agree that they do get a little warm but it's a waterproof boot so I expected that. Can't say much on durability due to not having them that long. I'm a full time paramedic at a busy service so they are going to take a beating.

Second pair after 3 years

Just bought my second pair. First lasted about three years. I'm pretty rough with my boots so lasting as long as they did was great.
