I had bought a Scully natural duster in the early 90s. Had it for 24 years. I was a great coat. I used on high wind days and as an over coat of layers warm clothing underneath on cold days in the Rockies. We moved to the midwest and my wife decieded to wash and dry by machine, in the past it was dried by hanging outside. The duster might have fit a child with extended arms, but not me. When I saw a Sheplers add for the same Scully duster I bought 30 years ago I had to have it. The fit is good and true to size and true to old west style. There is room for layering clothing. I believe this canvas duster should last many years like my old duster did.

Was misinformed about exchange time turn around. Now no gift for my husband for our 1 year wedding anniversary which is 2/14 & nothing for his Valentines Day. Bummed

Thick heavy canvas material, quality stitching, able to the roll corduroy cuffs up for a perfect length, and have I received a ton of compliments. The size, everyone's comments in the "reviews" mention how oversized these dusters are: they are oversized. Washed it 20 times, no shrinkage. I usually wear XL, a large size would have a been a better fit. I always enjoy the extra room though.

Impressed with how light-weight and casual comfortable this duster is. Well made. Only fault personally given it is, it is dark grey and not black. Very distinguishable when worn against true black clothing. Then again, Duster, faded black, what odds? Still very satisfied with it.

I bought a black one a wile back and I love it even though it was a bit to big so I ordered a brown one in large and it is perfect. I love it so much I’m working on getting a black one in size large I just love it

The perils of Online Shopping. I bought Item # 072A95, and ordered it in size large, as I am 6 ft. tall, and wanted the most length that I could get in my size, My common coat, jacket, etc. size is either Medium or Large, depending on manufacturer. This thing is as big as a tent. I have a friend who wears size XL in nearly everything. He suggested that I come to his house and compare it with some of his jackets, all XL, and found this "Large", to be wider at the the shoulders than any of his XL outerwear. When I wear it, I find that the shoulder to shoulder width is over 6 inches wider than my shoulders. This duster is not of any value to me, and I will just keep it around, hoping to find someone that can wear it. One day I will find a store, locally, that has dusters in stock and will allow me to size test it. If only I had been able to find actual sizes, you know, like we used to buy in, before we began buying our goods from other countries.

When I buy western wear, vintage-style especially, I don't want it to look like cheap costume. This duster is sturdy and made for weather, while allowing for some old west stile. Canvas will wear a bit and take on a weathered look, which is just what I want. It's evidently a popular choice because it was back-ordered for a good while, but it was worth the wait for sure.

I bought this jacket and I really love it though I should have got the next size down I wear a large to extra large but this extra large is just that . But it's worn over other clothes so I'm still happy .

It is a nice design but the material was a really rugged cloth but it looked worn. It wasn’t as classy as it seemed it should be for the price.

Very nice and good quality. Coat has more of a Sunday go to meeting look than a range riding coat (due to no shoulder flaps) as I wanted.

I wasn’t sure how this would fit. I typically fit XL and some brands that I have purchased I needed to move into the XXL group. Not the case here. XXL is very big.

This was a Christmas gift for my son. The fit was perfect and he loved it . It is well-made and roomy.

Item may be good but they delayed it twice was sup be here by Xmas then Saif 2 days after then its Jan 2. So prob won't do that again. Coat may be good not putting that down just dnt know when ur actually gng to get it

Not meant for guys of my stature, I bought the small and its still a litlle too long.

Very attractive, just what i was looking for. Rugged well made.

I was looking for: (1) a rugged-looking coat, (2) long enough to reach below the knees, (3) warm. This coat fit the need extremely well. FYI, I am about 6 feet 190 lbs, and the Large fit perfectly. (I believe a previous reviewer said he was several inches shorter and said the Large just barely fit him.) Two drawbacks: (1) I had to do a little sewing in the back to slightly close the opening since I will not be riding horses. (2) I wish the pocket openings were more vertical than horizontal. Feels more comfortable to slide the hands into vertical pocket openings instead of "down into" the pockets.

Of the time I've been wearing this coat, which hasn't been long, it seems to be of quality. I noticed a stray thread on the coat which isn't a big deal, but the button on the back of my coat to close the coat, doesn't function properly. The slit is too big for the button hole. It is because of these 2 complaints that I rate this coat a 4 star. It is still a very good coat otherwise.

Sizes run a little big. Normally I wear a medium, but I ordered a small and it fits great. It’s a great duster.

This Duster is nice and it does fit pretty good after all, I was concerned that the sleeves might be too long since I ordered a Large which is what I wear in short sleeve shirts, However all my other jackets are mediums due to their sleeves were too long on the large. these were ok once I rolled them up. I'm 5'8 160lbs and this size turned out good. My western sport coat was a 42 Regular and it fits just right so that's what I went by when I was considering what size to order for this coat.

Bought about a month ago. The fit is perfect with room for a sport coat or sweater beneath. Well made.

This is a xmas gift figure I would be early this year

It came exactly like it was described. Appears to be very good quality, stitching looks strong and durable too. Never really know until it's worn and used on the range, but I'm very pleased with the wear so far. The process of ordering was very easy, the shipping was faster than expected and box came in good condition. I ordered it too large so I had to return it for the next size down and that process was so easy! I am so happy that I decided to go with Sheplers. Overall very satisfied!!!!!!!! Strong 5 star!

Seemed to be a little bigger what I would wear but my husband really liked it.

The coat itself looks nice. I might keep it for me but that isn't who I bought it for. I ordered a Medium for my 15yo daughter. Figure I wanted her to have some extra room for layers while she's working outside. This dang coat fits me. I'm 6'1" and 225lbs. I normally where a XL to XXL (long torso and I'm getting fat). The sleeves on this medium jacket are long on me, the length hits me in the low shin, and I'm able to button all buttons (and I'm fat). There is no way this is a medium. Insult to injury I purchased a different coat for her in a large woman's and it barely fits here. I doubt I'll be purchasing items like this online in the future.

I bought this to use in inclement weather, after my last one bit the dust in a spectacular way. It is quality wear, does what I need it to do, and is well made, so it will last a good long time.

The duster looks very well. It's big enough also to wear over a jacket for example. I usually need size L in all but this duster I bought in M. It fits perfect!

Nice quality. Not having an inner liner means it will be useful in warm wet weather. The Outback oilskin hat goes good with it.

I ordered a small and it looked like a dress on me dragging on the ground, the sizing system is not accurate at all.

It’s awkwardly big initially. I think it will relax comfortably once it’s worn a few times. Good heavy quality canvas.

I love the look of the Scully Long Canvas Duster! I plan on waterproofing it and using it as a "raincoat" as well as wearing it over something else on colder days, and living in New Jersey there will be cold days. The sizing does run big. I am 6'3" tall and weigh 220+/- pounds and the large gives me enough room to wear a thinsulite vest under it.
