This coat is comfortable and warm, I ordered this coat for winter and it is exactly what I wanted. I would recommend it.

I bought this jacket for my brother who lives in the mountains of Georgia. This Jacket is very durable, warm, looks good and wears comfortable. (that's according to him). He is 6'4", 255lbs. He can wear a jacket out in a very short time living in the mountains. He is very impressed.

Been looking at this jacket for a few years. Finally went ahead and bought it. It lives up to what I expected, fits to size, comfortable and has tons of pockets. Wore it this week during a drizzling rain and stayed dry. Very pleased.

The oilskin rancher jacket was a pleasant surprise after receiving and wearing it for about a month. At first I didn't think it would be warm for New England winters, but having worn it in very low temps. I find it to be comfortable and warm. The fit is generous and on size. The oilskin is a good looking functional finish, it sheds rain naturally and has a leather like look and the leather collar gives it a refined look. Many pockets and I especially like the breast pockets, they are in a good position to keep hands warm when walking. The two way zipper front is convenient for driving allowing the bottom to open for comfortable driving. It's a good buy.

i am really happy with this Oilskin jacket. I use it a a barn coat and have ridden in it. Sheds water well,. Good insulation without being too hot to work in. Long enough and unsnaps up the sides so I can cover the saddle's cantle. Unlike my usual barn coats, it is stylish enough for town.

My husband loves his new jacket. It looks nice on him and he said it is very warm. He does have some difficulty getting the zipper pull started.

The lining and warmth of the jacket were excellent.

The fit and finish on this coat are good quality and the shipping was fast. I would give it an excellent review but for one issue. In the gun pocket, the barrel loop is open at the bottom allowing a full frame 1911 pistol sight to protrude past the loop. The sight will catch on the loop preventing you from drawing your pistol. On a shorter barrel such as a Sig P229, The trigger guard will prevent the sight from this protrusion and smooth draw is possible. Were the loop longer and closed at the bottom, I'd give it an excellent.

I received my jacket just before I left on a trip to DC. 20 degrees with snow and wind. This jacket kept me warm, actually got a little to warm while walking around the city. I did recieved a compliment on the look of the javket

I really like the jacket. It's warm and water repellant. The only thing I didn't catch was the excess oil on the collar. I wore it and later discovered two shirts that had oil stains on their collars. The stains couldn't be removed. Other than that it's a great jacket.

This is the perfect jacket to transition from late summer to fall, and from fall to winter if you live north of the Mason-Dixon Line. I is beautifully constructed, of quality components, and is a pleasure to wear.

I had been wanting an oil skin jacket or coat for sometime. Searched locally and on the internet. Found the best selection here at Sheplers. I am 6'2" and 230#. I ordered the 2XL and it fits perfect. The quality and features are great. I could not decide between this rancher jacket or the short duster, so I ordered both. I am very glad I did. This rancher jacket is heavy enough to wear on very cold days and the short duster jacket will work great on cool days. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality, features and price.

Be prepared for compliments when wearing this jacket. Top it with your cowboy hat, jeans and boots and you're dressed to kill. Earlier this year, I bought the XL size of Outback Trading Co.'s Oilskin Rancher Jacket. This jacket does a great job of keeping me warm in Chicago and well as on frequent trips to my Colorado family home. By early fall, I'd lost enough weight that I no longer took XL sizes, so I gave the original jacket to a family member and bought the L size of this jacket for myself. Oddly enough, the Large size has an extra pocket that the Extra Large doesn't. This vertically zippered pocket is located on the left interior just inside the jacket's main zipper. The pocket has an elastic loop to hold a cellphone or wallet, and has a pen loop, too. I have no idea why this handy pocket is not included in the XL size. The special pocket is easier to quickly reach, but its absence in the XL wasn't a big deal, since even without the special pocket, I found that the jacket has enough pockets, anyway. Keep in mind the comments about letting the jacket air out a bit to allow evaporation of any excess oil applied during manufacture. Outback Trading Co. recommends using a hairdryer if you want to expedite the process. I just let mine sit in the closet for a couple of weeks during a warm spell when I didn't need a jacket.

I received the Outback Oilskin Rancher Jacket 2 weeks ago, just in time for our weather to start getting cold. It looks great and has enough warmth to make a great car coat and for short periods out. You could layer under it for more warmth. I would love it in a large tall, which is why only 4 stars. The sleeve length when driving ride up a little short for me, but when walking, working outside, etc. it is fine. It seems very well made.

This jacket is perfect. I looked everywhere for a rugged leather type jacket and this one fits the bill perfectly. Looks good during the day and even better when going out at night. Warm, rugged and attractive. Highly recommended.

It's a nice jacket for winter wear and has a nice concealment pocket. Although the elastic to hold the gun is a little small, makes for a tight fit on a full size handgun but should be fine for anything smaller.

I bought this jacket in December, my own Christmas gift, everything is great, only one suggestion, you should think about the access to the conceal & carry pocket, i would have preferred to access it without lowering the main zipper, i think it would better if the access zipper for this pocket is outside but hidden with overlap that run all the way up and down
