I always want it to be cold so I can wear this great looking oilskin vest

This was bought as a gift for me for Christmas by my wife

Light enough to wear in the summer; yet add a sweater, it works in the fall. Heavy duty pockets can handle a lot. Long enough to handle concealed carry rules.

Very well made, warm and rugged quality. Oilskin is a little heavy, takes getting used to. Very comfortable. I carry mid-sized automatic pistol in the concealed carry opening and never print or feel uncomfortable with weapon. This is a good choice to layer with a sweater or heavy shirt for comfortable wear down into the upper 30's. Normally wear a medium but had to return this for a large size. Seems to run a little small. Satisfied customer

My guy loved his surprise!! The vest is very nicely made!! His size is a comfortable XL but I went up to an XXL and so glad I did. He has room for a couple more layers underneath. And more important for him is that he has room to "carry". Thanks Sheplers!!

Bought one a few years ago and it became an old friend that I lost in a move. Ordered a new one but had to return it for a larger size. Great Vest I highly recommend it.

Nice vest. A little on the heavy side but if you are used to wearing Outback’s products, that won’t surprise you. The lining is warm.

My husband bought this same vest around five or six years ago and as soon as the weather cools, out it comes. We live in the NW Montana mountains and my husband's work keeps him outside in the rain, snow and cold quite often and the oilskin vest keeps him dry and warm. His old vest is finally showing it's age, so I am buying this second one for a Christmas present. I know he will be thrilled to retire the old one for chores around home and wear the new one to work. My husband is hard on clothes and this vest has withstood a lot of punishment; I think it is well worth the cost.

After wrestling with my need for a new vest, I purchased the Outback Magnum - it is perfect for my needs. Warm, durable and comfortable to wear. It works great for most winter days when I am in and out of the pickup as it doesn't bind my arms and make driving uncomfortable. Great Product! Buy one or two for yourself!
