These cowboy boots are well made and the fit is perfect; furthermore, there are no necessary break in periods. I wore a thick pair of socks without any problems. Upon careful examination, I didn’t notice any cracks and fissures in the leather. I was in a rubbernecked mode observing how good looking the distressed leather in contrast with the black and grayish tone. It’s nicely done and made it look like a pair of vintage boots. It should not cause any bumfuzzle when it comes to buying boots not made in the U.S.A. The Mexican made boots are durable and made with real leather; however, always do a thorough research to make sure it’s genuine. This is my take on these nice cowboy boots. I had a pair of cowboy boots made in Mexico which I bought in 1991: and the leather is thicker as compared to these Moonshine Spirit boots.

There was a long sharp nail sticking right through the heel of the boot right into the inside. Very embarrassing to give my son a hole in his foot for Christmas.
