The style and fit of the 517 is close to that of 55 years ago. I wore these as a kid when we had one style and they had a button fly then, but otherwise they are similar.

Overall, Levi's, which I have been wearing for 60+ years, are no longer what they used to be. The sizes, particularly, are totally undependable. And, the sizes marked even vary among the different Levi's styles. So, you never know what you are getting, making buying online impossible.

Quite often, when purchasing Levi's, the inseam is too long. However, in all fairness, I asked support how this problem can be alleviated and was told to ask for a measurement to be taken for the inseam before shipping. We'll see if that works next time!

these Levis are made in Mexico, legs are sewn twisted, color of stitching is 3 different colors of thread. I ordered 5 pair in a previous order and received pants from same factory with same twist and discolored stitching. I mistakenly tried to repair those before I noticed twisted legs were the problem I am returning 3 pr. for refund

What a pleasant surprise to have a couple of Levi 517's with 7 belt loops instead of only 5! Just wish the fit wasn't quite so relaxed.

Has the right label sewed onto the wrong pants.

I ordered 31-36 Levi's 517 Boot Cut, what I got is unknown straight leg, that I couldn't even put on, they appear to be about 8" short in length.

These jeans from sheplers seem to be a grade above what you find in the big department stores. The material seems a little heavier grade. All items I have purchased from sheplers which include various boots, belts,buckles, and Levis jeans have been top quality and shipment is prompt. All online companies should operate like these guys.

My husband is tall and thin and wears a 32 waist and 36 length, he should really have a 38 inseam but those are hard to come by with the smaller waist. He has always worn these jeans and has always purchased them at Sheplers. They are priced reasonably and they seem to last and hold their color pretty well.

Wear these to work in, very comfortable, very durable, easy to wash, hold color good. By the way, I am in the construction field and my clothing takes a beating in the course of a days work. I order new ones about every 2 years, and then only because I have worn holes in the knees, otherwise they still look good!!!!

This is my first pair of 517 boot cuts, I usually wear relaxed fit 550 with my boots and they look really nice. These boot cuts run really long on me and I wear a 34 inseam, waiting to see if they drag the floor any or catch the heal of my boots because I will not like that very much. They seem to fit really well everywhere else. Great price and Sheplers always delivers fast!

I have worn Levi 517 jeans for many years and these prewashed stonewashed work very well for me. They look good and fit well. I will keep buying them unless the quality goes out. I have also worn the 517 rigid and they wear like iron.

This is my third pair of Levi's 517 Jeans. The cloth feels slightly lighter than Levi's 501s, but they wear well and feel good on. Fit is exactly right. I will buy these again.

I have been wearing Levi 517 jeans for many years. I buy black jeans for a little dressier look but the material is a not as heavy as the blue pre washed 517's and do not have the nice jeans feel that I am used to. In black, I prefer Wrangler.

These are great jeans. I have worn Levis my entire life. They are durable, fit true and you will get many years out of a pair of Levis. I espically like the 517 Boot cut style because the fit over my cowboy and motorcycle boots without looking like a pair of bell bottoms.

I truly prefer Levi's and discovered my first pair of 517s in the 1960s! FROM SHEPLER'S!! The other styles have never fit the way I want. I haven't bought a pair of 517s for a while though, they have NOT been available in my area. This pair was great , superb fabric and construction, but unfortunately just did not fit the way I remember them - a bit too loose through the seat and upper thigh. (Probably Levi's minor tweaking of the design, but also could have been me) So I returned them. I felt it was worth the gamble and unfortunately it didn't go in my favor.

These jeans are great for over boots. They are a skinny jean, fit much slimmer than my regular everyday work jeans. They wash nicely, did not shrink or wrinkle.

These jeans are just too big overall and way too long. I normally take a 34 waist by 33 long, but these jeans are 34 x 34 and just about 2 inches too long. Not a good fit.
