I wear these all day long when we are at our ranch working and riding horses. I like the low heel and the round but not pointed toe. And for riding I have to have a leather sole. I also like the shaft doesn’t go too far up my leg. I wish they came in more colors besides black, but that was only true in the good all days.

I was somewhat disappointed with the Justin Roper Boots. The leather is not very good quality. I ordered the wide version of my size, but the instep is tight. To be fair, I did plan to wear them as "go to town" boots, so I am keeping them. I ordered a boot stretcher. Hopefully that will solve the instep issue.

This is the first time I have worn Ropers for dancing and they are perfect. I wore them a few times prior to the dance floor to break them in - not necessary. I may order them in brown...just because.

So happy I found the same pair I bought 30+ yrs ago. I love these boots! Wish I could add a pic!

My ropers are my #1 choice for dancing, be it line or just getting up to boogie. The leather sole is great for spinning and the low heel keeps me grounded. Ropers look great with dress pants or jeans. Recommend good quality medium to heavy wool socks for dancing duty (not cotton) and do your best to keep the sole dry if you like a slippery spinner. These boots are very nice and the quality is great. I purchased a size 7 which is what I wear however the boot is very wide in the foot area but that can be remedied by wearing thick socks.

I bought this exact style of boots 10 years ago at the Horseman store in Scott, LA on a trip to Lafayette and New Orleans. I needed something with a leather sole for dancing. I wore that pair for 10 years Zydeco dancing. They are broken in and comfortable but I knew they would not last forever. I could not find another style that worked as well for me - round toe, low heel, leather sole. I tried Shepler's because my husband has shopped there. I was delighted to find the Ropers on sale and since the style has worked for me I decided to stay with it. I had a hard time at first with the fit - right boot very difficult to get on. But with persistence and walking around the house in them, I now feel that they "fit". I am a retired teacher and now doing mostly old time rock and roll line dancing. These boots may not be the most stylish for this activity but with my "tricky" knee they give me stability. My ratings below reflect how they feel after the break-in period.

These boots were for my sister who gets compliments to this day on the pair that she has worn and polished regularly for 30 years. Finally, she needed a new pair, and so these new ones were for her birthday gift. She said she had a "Cinderella moment" when she put them on. They fit perfectly and were so beautiful and new....plus the smell of new leather is divine.

This is my second pair of Justin Ropers. I wear them for work and I am on my feet all night. These are more comfortable than tennis shoes!! Once you put these on you will never want to take them off! I just wish they came in more colors. I bought a pair in Texas a LONG time ago in a dusty rose color and have been searching for that color ever since!

They are so comfortable! And just as stylish as I remember Ropers being from my younger years. So many compliments on them. And just in time for the crazy cold weather that is never here in Austin in November! The service and shipping were excellent and fast! I had a return because I originally ordered a half size larger, based on my Ariat boots, but it was not needed. The exchange process went smooth. Was a bit long, so I purchased a second pair outright instead of waiting for the exchange. They were kind enough to send a return postage paid label for me. All around positive experience and great boots! Can't beat that!

Very true to size for narrow feet. These boots were comfortable right away. I wish they came in another color.

I buy one pair per year and wear them out to where they have holes in the soles. My size is hard to find, 5.5 and C width, and these Justins fit me. They were hard to find this year. I always have to buy online because stores don't carry my size. This is the first time I bought them through Sheplers and it was a good experience. I hope they will carry them next year. I wear the boots everyday for ranch work and riding.

I bought these about a month ago as I had been looking for this type of boot for quite some time. I love everything about this boot, but especially the soft forgiving leather. The rounder toe and walking heel is exactly what I was needing in a boot. I dance with my husband quite a bit and this is the boot for that!

Have only had these boots a short time, but have found them extremely comfortable, can only wear thinner sock with them though.. The leather sole is a little slippery, but after a couple of wears has broken in nicely. Would definitely buy another pair of these boots!

I loved the look and quality of these boots, but unfortunately had to return them because the shaft was too narrow to get my foot through. I managed to get one boot on after major struggles and the foot bed sizing was fine. However, taking it off was also a painful struggle. I could not even get my other foot in the boot. Boot Barn offered to stretch them for me, but I declined.

Justin boots are and have been in my life forever. Ropers are my favorites. I used to show my horse, not any more but I still enjoy Justin ropers. I have to have a wide width and these boots fit good.

I have trouble wearing roper boots as they are usually B or C fitting. It is great to find a maker that does A fitting. I can buy a 7A in Justin boots and they fit perfectly. This boot stays looking smart and clean up well when the ground is muddy. I will keep buying this boot for as long as it is produced. However, it would be nice to purchase another colour also but they are only offered in black.

The boot is attractive, and I love the flat heel and rounded toe, but the fit and comfort were not good, and the boot is not lined. The shaft is very tight at the ankle and it was a struggle to get the boots on and off -- they needed a side zipper. Once I got the boots on, the shoe part was fine, with the proper amount of heel slippage, good fit in the instep, and plenty of room for my toes. (Cowboy boots always fit a little large on me, so I ordered 1/2 size down from my dress shoe size.) But the shaft part was too much of a problem. In addition to the tight ankle, the side seams on the shaft were hard, rough and scratchy, and since there was no lining, the seams were very uncomfortable.

Lovely boot but unfortunately the 'wide' sizing in this boot is still very narrow and didn't fit and going up half a size wouldn't have helped - disappointed they don't fit as a lovely boot
