usually a size 9 went to a 9.5 and they are amazing. Wide calf boots are hard to come by and slim pickings, but these were it. I have space for my leg to breathe and they are so comfortable once I broke them in. I had slight front of the heel pain breaking them in, but only when I wore the boot for a full day and the pain did not follow into the next day. Pain is no longer a problem now that it is broken in. I love the square toe because it allows my toes to breathe and they do not feel pinched at all. I would highly recommend these for ladies with wide calves and hope Idyllwind produces more wide calf options in the future.

These boots Were NOT in stock at the store in my size and I ordered them. I never order Boots, shoes, of any kind because I Have to make sure they’re going to be comfortable because, hey … they’ll be carrying me around all day long! But I took a leap of faith that they would work and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Gosh what a Perfect fit and the Comfort is incredibly Fantastical!

I ordered on 9/25, received them today, two days before the event. I ordered the same size I wear in other western boots and I could not get my foot in. Lovely boots. Just don’t fit. Will be exchanging/returning to the nearest store, which is a hour away.

Boots were incorrectly described on site as widefoot not wide calf. They were wide calf and the color was much darker. Had to return
