Glitter Everywhere!!!

The description for this item said metallic thread so imagine my surprise when I took it out of the packaging and glitter scattered everywhere. I bought this to wear over a dress but there was SO MUCH glitter flakes. I washed a few times, sprayed with hairspray, tried adhesive but nothing has worked to stop the glitter from shedding. Really disappointed and wish I had returned it. Still trying to get all the glitter out of the carpet.
