Defective and unwearable product, beware!!!

The hook and bar clasp was defective out of the packaging. I couldn’t even put these on to wear them since I couldn’t secure them around my waist. The bar piece even fell out of the pants entirely. So disappointing, especially with a product and company I’ve supported for 30 years.

I bought 3 pairs of 34x34 and decided the waist was too small. Ordered x5 pair of 36x34 and found no difference in the waist but now the pant legs are huge and about 3 inches too long, then there is 1 pair that seems fine. I'm finding a lot of issues with small differences in how they fit. No 2 are alike. Other than that I'm relatively satisfied I just have to have the pant legs hemmed which takes up any cost in savings I had from buying online

I own a number of Dickies work pants and shirts. I get them because they are durable, can be used for work, casual activities and even some "dressier" occasions. My latest pants are the original 874. They came, look good, but I guess I'd forgotten how the "regular" pants fit. The 874 ride a little higher, with a band around the waist. I've gotten used to the slightly larger "relaxed" fit. While most parts of the pants fit well, the waist fits pretty tight. My own fault for acquiring that spare tire. Perhaps it will be incentive to lose that weight.

Dang. They fit. Like they should. Coins don't fall out of the pockets when you're on your back. The belt loops are big enough for a web belt. I can get my wallet out of the back pocket without fishing. Just pretty awesome work pants.

These have a higher rise than most of the pants made these days. If you want the pants to rest on your hips opposed to your waist, get a size up. My true waist size is 30, I wear 31's in these. They are stain resistant and durable.

These pants are well made like our previous ones. We bought 2 pairs. My husband said the crotch hung too low on one pair. I compared them, and they are about an inch longer in crotch, but same size as all the others. A guy he works with said the same thing happened with him. He's wearing them anyway, just aggravating not knowing what we'll get if we order more.

These Dickies feel great and wear good. I think the belt loops are small for my belt but have enough loops. I have to remember to wash on pernament press cycle to keep some color in them. Also low dry to avoid shrinkage. They fit average and I give 4 stars.

I bought recent pair on sale as these pants are slightly higher at retail clothing stores. Online was cheaper way to go. I have noticed buyers usually buy 1 size larger in waist and 1 size smaller in length. Darker colors usually last longer and most easiest to keep clean..No regrets with Dickies Clothing...

I like the way these pant fit and I have a few pairs. My biggest complaint is the belt loops.They're are way too short in lenght (and a little too wide) for wide leather belts or even for Dickies' web belts that are 1.5" wide. The wide belts are needed to carry cell phones, flashlights and sometimes small tools. The wide belt will barely pass the belt loops itself and you can't secure the overlapping end of belt into the loop. So, if you wear these pants with a 1" or narrower belts you're fine.

I purchased these pants about 2 weeks ago. They arrived on time and are excellent quality. I recommend these pants and like their durability. One thing to watch for though. The belt loots are small and though a medium thickness belt goes through though the first time ok after you fasten your belt if you have extra belt left to tuck into the belt loops so it's not flapping around the loops are too tight to allow for this. The extra belt left just flops about. I don't like that makes you look sloppy.

I have worn Dickies work wear for over 20 years. They are comfortable and wear forever under everyday use. I have been unable to find them for sale locally for the last two years so my daughter bought me some online for my last birthday. She gave me the URL and I was so pleased to find the wide range of colours. Local retailers only sold the dark blue and black. I now have four sets of pants with matching shirts in Grey, Light brown, Green and Black. Looking forward to years of wear from these.

All Dickies products are exceptionally well-made so they last and last. I can get a full year or longer out of my pants before they start to fade. If fading isn't an issue for your use, the pants could last indefinitely. I love the stain resistance. I've dropped juice, tomato sauce, gravy, and other food on my lap (yes, I'm a klutz) and just wiped them off with a damp cloth. The creases last a long time although I don't try to retain them. There is no clothing manufacturer that offers better quality in a work or casual pant than Dickies. I use different colors for different uses. For example, I use gray for work, blue for grungy work about the house and yard, and black for Sunday best. I own no other pants than Dickies. Don't need them.

I ordered five pairs of Original 874 and three of them fit perfect but two did not, they were too big and wide on the leg part but the hip was fine. One of them was the Military Green and the other was the Navy Blue.

Pants looked good and quality seemed fine but the size was way off (small). Not just off for what I normally wear but off compared to other Dickies pants. Will have to try to figure out how to return them.

These are great work pants but the sizing is interesting. Go with a bigger waist than usual. Also, if you wear your pants at a reasonable height and not up at your stomach like an 85 year old man, you might find them too long as well. Once you get the sizing dialed in though, these are exactly what you want for a pair of work pants!

My only concerns are I never received tracking info from dickies so my package just randomly showed up one day lol and the material is really crunchy when you first get it so be prepared to soak it in fabric softener. But the pants are perfect. My husband is a small engine repair man and they’re heavy duty enough to last through chainsaws, weed walkers, and lawnmower blades.

I bought one pair just to try them out. I dig them. But after a couple months the seems are starting to give out. I bought two more pair to see how these 2 last. I doubt they'll last any longer but we will see. I wish they had more options for 36-36 but they don't. I'd rate the item higher but paints shouldn't be blowing seems within a couple months. Fit is great, they feel good.

We tried several non-Dickies brands before we found these and they're durable, don't need much ironing and resist stains (even bleach) and they don't stretch or shrink - so they are very durable and price is excellent given how long they last - always have his 6'4 length in stock -nice to count on this kind of quality!

These pants are awesome!! I am a teacher and wear them to work. Just one thing: Make sure you order a waist size that is one size larger than what you wear in other pants. I normally wear a size 38 waist. In these pants I wear a size 40. Not a big deal, just a good thing to know.

These pants are a great fit and style, but the fabric is garbage. The poly-cotton blend gets trashed and starts pilling after a few washes. They should make these out of 100% polyester or 100% cotton. This would keep the fabric looking crisp for longer, and it would make the pants resistant to pilling.

On first day I wore these the hook on the waist closure fell off. I also find the front pockets are too small. I carry my cell phone in the front pocket and the lack of pocket depth makes it uncomfortable to sit without removing my phone. I also find them to be very high waisted. Finally, I ordered four pair in the same size and color, I recieved three pair that were as ordered. The fouth pair had a waist size 2 inches larger than I ordered.

My husband has been wearing the Dickie brand original work pant for years. As a plant manager, his job is quite physically demanding, requiring him to perform frequent maintenance on machines, which can be a sweaty, grimy greasy mess. These pants wash and wear well. The only complaint is breaking them in. I tried soaking them in salt as well as giving them multiple washes before wearing, to no avail. These pants remain pretty stiff for many weeks. I am giving them a 4 star comfort rating because of the initial stiffness, but after they are broken in, they are of excellent comfort.

I purchased 6 pair of 874 pants, all the same size. 2 pair fit properly while the 4 other pair vary in fit. Some pants are too tight in the thighs, others are too tight in the waist. I’ve been wearing Dickies for work for 26 years and have never seen it this bad.

People say, that is the only brand I wear, but my boyfriend doesn't waiver. He only wears Dickies and this is his preferred style. We have many colors and duplicates of some. He has dress navy and black, casual navy, black, grey and green. For work he has additional colors too. He works primarily at a sales stable for cattle (he loves his job) and his clothes show it. Fit well. They are just wrong color for my application. I was going to use them as uniform pants for my 1860 Vintage Base Ball team. They are more "purple" than our maroon shirts. Not a good look.

While the pants seemed nice, I never got to wear them. For a size 34 i couldn’t even get them over my legs and that’s a size that’s usually loose on me. Will try on in person next time.

Waist size is inaccurate. Significantly tighter that what seems to be the standard across multiple other brands. Not sure if designed to be worn with a belt, but belt loops are tight when tucking the tail of a belt. Very comfortable and easy to move on aside from being too tight in the waist. Disappointed. Thank you.

I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. I ordered the same size I where in other Dickies styles and these did not fit like I expected. I am not surprised when sizes differ between brands, but when it does within a brand its quite annoying. I have donated the purchase to a local free store and will be purchasing elswhere.

Ordered usual size. when they arrived pants were properly marked as to size but were about 3 INCHES to small in the waist. Each manufacturing country has a different size standard. Each style of pants are manufactured in a different country. Item came quick and return was easy and quick

I loved the pants but when I tried them on the waist was around 3 sizes too small. I just mailed them back for a replacement. I hope there was a sizing error because all of my jeans and other pants fit fine. I was just disappointed.

I bought a set of work clothes and within 3 hrs the inseam came completely apart on one leg. One call to Dickies and a replacement was on the way. E-mail notifications were prompt and complete Production errors happen in all work but how the correction is handled is the true test of a product. I will order complete uniform sets this fall from this company due to the quality service I received.

Was way smaller in the waist than advertised. I'm 6'2, weigh 145 lbs, ordered a side 29 in the waist, but couldn't pull them up past my thighs. Extremely inconsistent with market standards.

I like the 'look' of these pants, but the waist size is, for the 'second time' too tight. I have made an extension loop....again....so I can fasten the pants. I will not order these again. Too many adjustments for my ordered size...44. I wear a 42 and knew they ran 'small'. A 44 is to tight???? Can't win with these 874"s.

I usually buy 34x34 pants and these fit a little small in the waist and are a little longer than I expected. Not a big enough difference to return but I'd add an inch to the waist if I ordered again. The first day I wore one pair I was using a grinder with a cutoff wheel and the sparks lit the leg of them on fire, so look alive if you're cutting or welding in these.

I really like these pants, they last for quite a while, look nice, and are reasonably priced. The sizing is not super consistent, and there are occasionally quality issues, but these are basically the only pants I've worn for the last decade.

I've been wearing Dickies for years, but they've always had a problem with the accuracy of the size. I have 2 pairs of 34 inch waist shorts and another 2 pairs of the same size pants and they fit great. I ordered 4 more pairs of the same size pants and 2 of the 4 are too tight. You'd think 34 inches would be universally the same, but it's just never been the case. This problem isn't unique to Dickies, but it's still problematic none the less. All 4 are the same style and size, according to the tags, but 2 of them are smaller than the others. Dickies needs better quality control. As far as the shipping and price and everything, that stuff has always been great, but the size thing has always been an issue.

The 874 pants are some of the best pants that stand up to about anything. I ride my bike into work each day and the pants arrive at work looking professional. The pants stand up to about a year of hard wear before they loose the crispness. Great pants for the price.

Slacks seem to be well constructed. They are comfortable. Would be nice if the size of the belt loops were enlarged slightly, to accommodate a wider belt. Also use a button for or in addition to the clasp, for fastening.

Fits good, lite weight. I'm a big guy who is always hot and in these I don't over heat. Only issue is that they are stiff but I'm sure after several washes they will soften up.
