After about the 3rd wash in cold water the pant size began to shrink. I only wear these pants when I work outside because they are cooler to wear in the south Texas heat. I will not buy these pants again.

I normally buy 874 regular, but thought I would give these a try. They fit OK, but it looks like Dickies is trying to save money. There are less belt loops and they are very far from the front center. Belts tend to move up and down with these, only these. My regulars are fine, more belt loops and spaced closer so the belt does not move up or down (in the front). Due to that, I regret the purchase.

These seem like a decent material, but, if I pulled them up so they did not hang in the inseam, they literally were touching the bottom of my rib cage. I like my pants pulled up, but, not to the rib cage. Had to return for this reason. I am 6', 220 lbs, muscular build, no belly or fat.

I'm 6'1" and 175lbs. In most every brand I wear a 32x34. I bought these and the slim flex pants in the same size at the same time. The slim 32 fit a bit snug in the waist. These were too small to even button. I don't understand how Dickies could have such a huge difference in waist size between two pants of the same material. I'm fine with a company running small or large across the board but between two pants of the same exact material the waist should be the same.

The quality of the pants is great. Just be aware that the size for the waist is not the same as any other pants. For me, had to buy 2 sizes larger than I actually wear. Knew that going in, but other than that, awesome

The pants ended up being too small waist-wise (I’m a 32 and the pants were 32, but maybe I should have ordered 34’s). Also, my online order said I would be recieving a free toque with my purchase but it wasn’t included. The pants are currently being returned.

I love the fit, although I had to go up 2 sizes to fit! But the pants are full of loose stitches and hanging threads. Not convinced they will last long, but until then the style and color work well.

Just receiver two pair of 874 Flex pants 46X30. Neither are same. Waist is probably a 42,44 at best, no room in the crotch. There sure is no Flex in either. Your offshore plants are either using less material, cutting them wrong, mislabeling them wrong or a combination of all three. But you already know this, but just don't care. Higher prices, less quality and no pride. P.S. they're coming back to you.

I have worn 874s every day for 20 years and in the summer they can be a little constructive. These new flex have an awesome soft waist band and seem to have a little more room. Initially ordered 2 pairs to try and after a week I ordered 5 more pairs. I can't speak for the colors because I only have khaki however I do plan on ordering black and grey.

In my opinion, the 874 flex are much more comfortable than regular 874's. The belt loops are bigger, making putting on a belt much easier. The thing I'm concerned with is whether or not the knees will last as long since the material seems to be a little softer or lighter weight.

I am 6' 200lbs and have been a 32 waist most of my life. All of my other pants or shorts I own are this measurement. So, I ordered five pairs of these Dickies; I look like the muffin man. It hurt to button them closed. Not sure what size I am in dickies, but 32 is not it. I have worn Dickies in the past and recall loving them. I do not recall this sizing issue.

The product was easy to order and arrived via delivery in a timely fashion. However, the pants that I ordered were a 38 waist and fit more like a 34 waist. The label reads 38, but I could tell simply by holding them up that they were smaller. I assume that the waist size either runs extremely small or there was a defect. I had hoped that the flex material would offer a significant amount of stretch but there is much less than I expected based on the product description. I really like the style of pant, but feel like it would be a mistake not to by them off a shelf where they could be tried on first.

These were for my husband. He says they fit and do what they are supposed to. I think they look nice on him, as in sharper looking than jeans. He says the material is not as soft as dress pants but not as heavy as jeans.

These pants are stiff, there is no “FLEX” to them at all... anywhere. The waist doesn’t flex. The legs don’t flex. The crotch doesn’t flex. Nothing “flex’s.” The rear pockets don’t even sit on your butt. They sit on the side of my leg making it uncomfortable to sit or walk. I’m sure these pants would last a long time and be rugged, but unfortunately I won’t be able to test that out because they are just too uncomfortable to wear on a daily basis.

I bought two pairs of 874 flex work pants and these are great and comfortable. But when I received them, one of the pairs had ripped stitching on the right leg of the pants. I’m going to beat these to up anyways so I really didn’t mind I just stitched them up myself. But really wish I didn’t have to do that to begin with.

Fit and sizing is different than expected

Well made work pants. A bit heavier than I expected. Not anything I would want to wear in the summer. However, I ended up returning these pants for two reasons. I typically wear a 33” waist. This means the normal 34” pants are a bit too big for me. These 34” pants I ordered were way too tight. I felt like I was in 32” pants. Also, these pants sit very high on the waist. They felt like “mom jeans” when I put them on. I wear my pants on my hip bones, these ones sat up near my belly button.

I’ve been trying to bulk at the gym in earnest, and it’s working but none of my pants fit anymore. I ordered my pants a size up (24) but I guess the bulk is working a little too well and had to return these, haha. I’ve loved dickies products for years so from what I could tell the product quality is still top-notch, I’ll just have to get a size-up in the future.

These chinos are great quality and very comfortable but bigger sizes could use a higher rise sitting higher on waist and a slight taper from I knee down. Not everyone is fat and round haha. I buy the size 50 to fit my thighs but waist is 2 inches big and from knees down theres excess fabric that I could do without. Nothing an extra $30 at the tailor cant fix though :)

I’ve been a fan of the 874 pants for awhile, and the flex feature is a nice improvement, very comfortable from the start, no more washing and wearing them several times before they are broken in. Seems like they may be an inch longer than my older pants, but still a good fit.

The pants were great. Nice heavy material, but didn't quite fit right. They just didn't fit the way we wanted. Also the sizing is a little off. We first got at 46 waist and it was a good 2 inches too small. The 48 inch waist fit much better but rather baggy in the back. I'm sorry they didn't fit well since they looked like they'd wear well.

Bought a few pairs over the past couple months to replace my older work pants, and I remember Dickies being made of the highest quality. One pair of these pants I've worn maybe 4 times and the pocket lining in one of the rear pockets has come loose from the rim(?) of the pocket. Depending on brand, I tend to wear a 32 to 34. Some of my 34s I'm swimming in, but 33 for this pair fits well if worn higher than hip bones. Enough to have some breathing room and enough to not need a belt. I use these primarily for skateboarding, and while I'm happy with them, a bit more stretch would be welcome. Just like a trades person squatting down will be slightly restricted, we essentially do squats in the air. They're still solid and I like the width of the legs, they'll fit fine over a boot and as long as you get a good length, they'll fit perfectly over skate shoes. I'm 5 10" 172lbs. Very average build, and length 30" while standing feels perfect for skating, but are minimally similar to "floods" from the 90s.

These pants are pretty much perfect for the style of pant they are. Not too baggy, and not too slim. Not sure if anyone notices one of the biggest differences between the 874 flex and the regular 874, other than the material stiffness, is the belt loops. The flex fit are longer in a length, allowing you to wear a more sturdy built 1.5” edc belt. The original 874 belt loop sizing will drive you insane trying to get your belt through them. I am referring to a 1.5” edc belt though. I really really wish Dickies would make the belt loops longer on the original 874 also. I’m forced to buy the flex 874, purely cause of the belt loops. Zoom in on the pictures on the site and you will see the difference in where the bottom of the belt loops are stitched

I have to wear these for work. I used to go to a local store but buying them online is so much easier and my size is always in stock. These are so comfortable and they move well with the constant sitting, standing, bending and kneeling i do on a daily basis. A great pant, constructed well and they will last a while.

I've been a buyer of Dickies for only about a year now, but instantly got hooked on the original fit 874 work pants. With my love for the original 874s I thought I'd give the FLEX 874 work pants a go. For the first couple wears I was pleased by the increased comfortability they provided, but soon they started to pill all over, especially in the thighs. These pants don't resist stains as well as the original 874s and I had a problem with the zipper getting stuck on only the third wear. I'll still wear these around casually, but they are definitely not as durable for my work.

I've ordered 7 pairs of the 874 flex pants.2 fit perfect in the waist, 1 a little loose, 1 a little snug and 3 too tight to wear. Lacking some in quality control. I didn't return them becuase i hope to lose a little weight in the new year and will be able to fit into them. Of course now I will have to wear a belt with the others, but at least I will be able to wear them.

I wear the original 874 for town pants then retire them for work. The Flex 874 isn't going to make it for work or last long for work pants. I really appreciate Dickies quality. I have been buying the pocket tees with a pencil slot for years. When they say heavyweight they mean it. When I needed work pants, I turned again to Dickies. They aren’t skimpy with material. The waist is high and the material is tough. The only thing I would note is that the 36 waist runs like a wranglers 35.

Ordered a pair of 874 flex work pants for my grandson. Because he is very tall I ordered the pants from your company expecting a proper fit. Apparently D ickies do not run true to size as they did not fit at all. A size 38 x 34 normally fits well but are difficult to find in retail stores and when needing a specific color this size becomes even more elusive.

Been wearing 874 Original for many years. Over such a time span, the fabric has changed a little. The 874 Flex fabric is enough like Original that I can't find a difference other than color. The fabric inside the waistband is black instead of white. This black fabric is slick, so shirt tail slides easier. I find no stretch or flexibility difference from Original. Worn once and not yet laudered, so can't say anything yet about durability difference.

I bought these pants as a comfortable alternative to slacks that could be worn in a casual to business-casual type setting. The fit is very loose, as is to be expected of a work pants, but after a DIY taper on the pant leg, these quickly became my favorite pair of pants PROS: - Comfort : These pants (especially after a few washes) seriously feel like pajamas. Even in tighter sections, these pants are incredibly light and breathable. - Staining : I have routinely painted, ate, and done lawn-work in these pants. Everything I have encountered has come out with just a little bit of water and elbow grease. The color has not faded at all and looks quite similar to the day I got them. - Durability : Whether it comes to crouching down, rolling around, wiping off your hands, or catching tools/edges, these pants are VERY durable. You can definitely feel the flex in the waist and paint leg, and I have never really gotten close to tearing or ripping these pants in any way, except for... CONS: - PILLING : The pilling on these pants is, for whatever reason, terrible. Typically, the pilling appears in any place that experiences rubbing, which includes the inner pant leg, upper thigh, and ESPECIALLY the groin. Despite turning the pants inside out when washed, the pilling is a persistent issue that I could not solve. To put into perspective, I had these pants for around 6 months, where I would wear them about 3 days a week, and the pilling has since caused about 2 quarter-sized holes in the groin area of the pants. The entirety of the surrounding area, as well, is paper thin. Admittedly, I probably did a lot more walking than is typical of a normal use of these pants, but my point still stands. While nearly perfect in almost every other regard, I predict that you would only be able to get 6-12 months out of these pants before they are practically unusable. It should be noted that this is NOT a problem I have encountered in the original pair of 874s, while those are typically a little more rigid and durable.

The belt loops and pockets are far too small. It is a struggle to run the excess belt through the loop as they barely fit a standard belt. My wallet needs to be inserted, then rotated 90 degrees because the pocket is too narrow for it to go straight in and you can't button the pocket closed without rotating it.

Dickies, Red Kap and any other work clothes tend to need to go up a size when ordering. Many reviews state the customers are upset about the size being small. I have been a diesel mechanic for 25 years. I learned that 25 years ago. I buy 10/ year. I dont think someone's lack of knowledge about a product is cause for a negative review. I like Dickies and RedKap. This is my first time going with flex. I will update review once I have seen how they hold up to my destructive life in the shop. Please leave reviews for how well it resisted stains, tears, burns, comfort, style, and anything else to do with the product. Please advise others to go one size higher. That is normal in the industry. We have 20 people who have never had Dickies and will never do any work requiring durable pants complaining and leaving one star because of the size. It is rediculous.

I purchased these pants for doing chores around my house and yard. The pants are fine but are a bit high waisted compared to other pants I own. I have purchased several pairs of Dickie's pants looking for the most comfortable for me and the 5 pocket pants seem to be my favorite. The 5 pocket pants are also 98% cotton which I like more than the material of these pants. In the long run these pants may resist staining better but the fabric is not as comfortable in my opinion. I had to return the first pants I ordered for a larger size due to the higher waist.

I have only wore these twice but they are comfortable and appear well made. The belt loops accommodate wider work belts easily. My only complaint is that my waist size was not available with a 34" inseam so they cannot go in the drier as they would be too short. Like most pants of this type ironing would improve appearance.

Growing up in Uvalde TX. i wore khaki Dickies to catholic school. At the time I want all that excited but didn't realize how entrenched Dickies would become to me. I have been living in Dickies shorts and pants for as long as I can remember. Heck...my friends and i pretty much have grey Dickie shorts and a black t-shirt as our un-official Offical uniform(I got married this past summer in a pair of khaki shorts....). The 874's have been a staple as well but always seemed a bit "rough" for the first few months of a new pair but with these 874 Flex....Heck Yeah Dawg, you knocked this outta the park. I wouldn't trade these for a six pack and a F100 Unibody. Thank you again

I've worn the 874 pants at work for years. I finally decided to get 5 or 6 new pairs last year (my 8 year old 874 pants were getting "pilly" in the crotch). I don't fault them for that, they were very well used. I decided to refresh my wardrobe with the 874 stretch. Well about 3 or 4 months in, they are all incredibly pilly in the crotch, and even on the thighs. They look pretty bad. Stick with the classic, they are built to last! I just wish I didn't throw them out. My 8 year old 874s would now look better than my 4 month old 874 stretch.(Which only stayed acceptable looking for about 10 uses, whereas the classics were well over 100.)

I will wear your pants forever but you change the designs too often. When I go to buy new ones there seem to be none like I bought previously but there are new ones I can't gather enough information from your website to judge correctly. The last four orders I bought from your website I either sent back of donated away. Specifically, this latest occasion, your pictures on the website did not show the waistband in enough detail. I bought them anyway because the name of them sounded correct. Once they arrived I learned the FLEX in the name does not refer to the old elastic band in the waistband which you no longer make for some reason. Double disappointment. I will figure it out because Dickies are perfect work pants. And, they are stylish enough I can leave the jobsite and meet with customers or have a business lunch without having to change. They are also good for skiing or in bad weather for short periods of time. I wear them for everything I do in work or play.

The Flex pants I got were supposed to be size 32 waist, but the pant waist is so small I cannot even button them. My other pair of Dickies fit me and they are size 32 so I’m not sure if this is just a mistake with the pair I received, or If this style fits 4 size smaller.

I’ve been wearing the original 874 for years. I bought these at a premium thinking I was going to get a more flexible version of a good pant. They are exactly the same as the original, same breakdown of material on the tag as well. Not too impressed.

I had expected a lighter weight fabric and returned the pants. They were perfect if I had wanted a sturdy, well made type pants, but I only wanted them for casual wear. I called customer service and she was able to help me get what I wanted. The customer care was excellent and looking forward to my shipment. I had previously purchased shorts that I love and the casual pants should be the same. A great company to do business with.

These fit great but the brown pants that I got I didn’t notice until I washed them and put them on the second time they were missing 2 belt loops one on each side of sipper.

I read the reviews before I purchased these pants. I agree that the sizes run small. They are comfortable and seem to stretch so I'm hoping they do not shrink and keep their elasticity. also I agree that the material seems somewhat thinner than the regular Dickies 874 and I'm hoping that they wear as long. If they do, it will be a good value for the price.

I bought 5 pairs of these on different colors and I’m glad I got them because they are the most comfortable work pants I’ve ever had. I work at Trader Joe’s and its a very physical job, bending over, getting up and down is not a problem with the new flex.

They need more accuracy with these sizes

I’ve worn dickies work pants my whole life and these new flex pants are legit. Not that there is anything wrong with the original but if you’re looking for just that little extra stretch these are perfect

It doesn’t have belt loops in front! The pants thus have a space of over 12 inches between loops, not enough to hold the end of the belt.

I have always purchased the original 874 pants in the past because of their durability, but they were always pretty stiff. Moved up to the 874 flex and now have both comfort and durability.

One pair is quite a bit tighter than the other (same size) that I bought at the same time, and the waistband has NO stretch whatsoever. I really am not liking them nearly as well as I thought I would. I also don't like the hook fastener at the waist, since it sometimes comes undone. A button would be much better. I don't think I'll buy them again.

I ordered 4 pairs, 2 38X34 and 2 36X34. 3 pairs have the size tags in them. One of the supposed 36X34 does not have a size tag and appears to have been washed as the crease is not a new crease.

There pants are ok but not as comfortable as the flex waist pants you discontinued that had elastic strips on each side of the waist band.

So these pants are comfortable. But they are a little tight in the waist but good on length. In previous times the waist was a little big or just right and then length was too long. I think the one issue i usually have the most is there is no consistently in the length of the pants. I’m a 30 in length and some of the pants i have gotten are like 32 and really baggy which i don’t like.

It is a shame you used to have the work pants that had a stretch band in the waistband. Then that was discontinued But a flex band was a little different and were fine so I ordered flex 40” waist that do not fit. I think there needs to be better description

Few months back I purchased 5 pairs of the 874 flex pants. I am very disappointed. I have purchased Dickies for a long time. Seems like quality is going down and worst of all "FITTING!" All 5 pairs I bought are 32x30 and unfortunately they all fit very different. Not one pair fits me the same as the next pair. They all differ in different ways from being waist tight, baggy leg, or lenght. If I'm paying for my product I expect it to be the same. Very disappointed and will not gamble my money like that.

874 Flex and Dickies Flex have different waist measurements. I previously purchased "Dickies Flex pants which fit fine. By mistake (or ignorance), I reordered 874 Flex in the same size and learned that the waist is at least 2 inches smaller for the 874 category. I find the name distinction confusing and believe a 36 inch waist should be the same on both. I just hope I can eventually lose the waist to fit into the new pants.

These pants are not sized correctly. I purchased three pairs and another pair of regular Dickies all 44/30 the regular Dickies give me enough room to fit two fingers between fabric and my waist. The Flex are so tight I have to suck in to get them to fasten just waiting for the clasp to break.

Decent fit and feel. Durable. The front pockets are somewhat constricting; I feel they should be larger with more room. The 874 Flex pants don’t truly have a stretch waistband but still have a good fit. Maybe remove “flex” from the name until you add a real stretch waistband. Also the value could be better when buying online. There is not much difference in price between online and a retail store. Online has much less overhead than a store. Pass on the savings, will ya.

I needed work pants to wear as part of a Rosie the Riveter event (We just smashed the world record!). I had no idea when I ventured into the men's department that I would buy the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. The pants fit well at the waist. I was able to sit comfortably without feeling cut of at the waist or leg. The deep pockets are fantastic, especially when wanting to travel to an event without having to carry a purse. I'm sold!

I have worn dickies work pants for the past 12 years and they are great except since I've gotten "bigger" in the past 12 years the edge of the pants tend to rollover and the white edge is visible. They finally fixed this with the black edge flex pants. Also the flex material is so much more comfortable. I did notice that the fabric being more stretchy means the pants are looser. In the future I will be ordering one size smaller. Oh, and I wish they would move the tag to the lower end of the pocket. It's so long it sticks out at the top when you put them on.

The waistband does not flex. Your products are always of high quality. The price I paid for these pants was very good. I wished that the waistband had some some flex. If you want a pair of pants with a flexible waistband this is not what you want.

Being a bigger guy I don't like the straight men pants. They end up being too baggy when you get size 50 waist. Either way I don't like how it pills. It's not noticable on darker colors but on the khakis they are more noticable.

Without a doubt the worst pants ever made. With just a few times wearing the pants they fuzzed up and got very thin. Holes came in the front of the pants very quickly. Everything that was touched stuck to the pants. We have bought Dickies work pants for years and they have held up well for the kind of work that I do but the Flex pants are horrible.

I have been purchasing these pants for 50 years. I give it four stars instead of five because today’s version has smaller pockets and no longer comes with an extra inch in the waistband that can be let out. They are tough and versatile, work pants that can go out at night with a sports coat.

About a month in I'll say they are very comfortable a little softer and thinner then the original 874 style. In my opinion it runs a little larger I use a 34 waist and I swear I could use a 32 and be comfortable. Good buy just know the flex style is a little different than regular but a welcome addition

Pants are very nice overall. Not as flexible as I thought, however, the trade-off probably is more durability. Run a bit small in the waist, possibly 1 to 2 sizes small. I take a 30 normally and ordered a 32. After I wash them they fit very good.

Normally I wear 38” waist in all other pants. However I was upset these fit much tighter. They were uncomfortable to wear. I’ve bought many dickies in the past. Maybe I’m just getting too fat to wear dickies. :(

I have been wearing Dickies since I was a skateboard kid in the early 00's. Now I use these pants for work so I can be flexible when I am framing or inside an attic. I bought three pairs of flex work pants several weeks ago to serve my need for decent looking trousers. They look even better than several work pants that I purchased five years ago. I have them laundered commercially with heavy starch added. As long as I am not crawling in mud, they last a whole week or more without additional attention. I am very pleased with the purchase.

No Waist and Inadequate Pockets

I found that the waist runs too low for me. I am not a slender build young man, but I have what some would refer to as a "Beer Belly", even though I don't drink any alcoholic beverages. The pockets are also too shallow, especially for "Work Pants". Some people who work need the extra deep pockets to carry some of the tools they need every day. Some work uniforms cannot accommodate pens, glasses, note papers, box cutters and other things externally due to the uniform standards of the employer. These pockets are nearly impossible for my specific requirements.

Love these pants. I've found that unlike the original 874s these soften quite a bit over time after multiple washes, becoming more and more comfortable. Like others have said they run 1-2 waist sizes small. Also I wish they came in more colors!

The 874-FLEX are as good in quality as the original. They offer real life belt loops that accommodate the size of real leather work belts (a big plus for me). The added "flex" is also nice for most of us that are not "mannequins". I wish the depth/width of the front pockets were a bit larger to accommodate a man's hand and wallet or keys/change comfortably; for both original and the FLEX work pants. Over all....both are a good buy.

I wore 874 for work for years. My new job switch from jeans to slacks, and I went back to Dickies. I find the 874 Flex to be more comfortable than the stiffer 874 original. They look great at the end of 12 hour days. Wash, dry, wear. No need to iron.

Ordered and got pants labeled 36x34, but these are maybe 33 waist. DO NOT fit. I have other Dickie pants that are 36 waist and fit fine. NOT these. AND I always wash my new clothes before wearing them and now these are useless because you won't take them back.

The pants arrived quickly but this was the only good thing. Sizing is way off as I still own 2 pair of Dickies that are measured out at a 34 waist and fit as they should. The pants I received were 2-3 inches too small. Judging from other comments this is becoming a pretty standard issue for Dickies. This is a shame as I have always enjoyed my Dickies pants.

I love the look of the pants and the feel of the material. Sizing is not accurate, I wear a 42 in all other pants but ordered 44 waist in this brand and pants was tight I had to reorder a size 46 for them to fit at the waist, which required me to have the pants tailored due to leg areas being to large. that was also another added cost.

Pants in waist size 50, do not have front belt loops. There is an excessive amount in the back of the pants. None from hip to hip. Dangerous, as work pants and silly looking when the belt raises above the pants. We have been thru 12 pairs, back and forth. No remedy, yet. Husband has worn there, for years. These pants are ok sometimes. But they’re inconsistent. Some times I think they mislabel the when they’re produced. I recently bought 874 flex in khaki and chocolate both size 32x32. the chocolate are looser around my waist but slimmer than my 873’s in the legs. The khaki are so tight around my waist it’s uncomfortable but they’re wayyy baggier in the leg. I bought a pair of 873 in charcoal in 33x32 and the waist fits like a 36. It’s pretty absurd. It’s a shame it’s so hard to find them in stores because it’s a gamble ordering online without trying them on first.

Have been buying dickies for the last 20 years and they are always amazing. This is the first time disappointed. Decided to try the flex instead of the regular and they fit alot tighter then normal and already dont seem to be holding up as well as the orginals. I purchase a few pairs each year for work, they are neat and fits in well even in a professional setting. The fit and sizing this year is the same as in the past, true to how they measure as in past years. The only thing I find is when putting them on for the first time they are ‘tight’ - however I cannot blame the pants that my belly is a tad ‘heftier’.

Second pair of pants I’ve ordered. First pair were way too tight around the waist and I’m built like a toothpick. This pair (“flex” work pants, black) are baggier than a pair of JNCOs. After wearing them for a little over a week there’s already a hole in the front right pocket and they just look dirty all the time even straight out of the washing machine. I really don’t understand the obsession with dickies being synonymous with work pants, twice I’ve been burned ordering online and I won’t be fooled again.

Not too happy with my purchase, the sizes are always inconsistent. I have ordered the same size for almost 2 years, and each one fitting a little tighter than the other or some just perfect. Now i usually don't write reviews but this time I had to, because the pants came extremely tight!! 38 waist 30 inseam One Navy blue and the other Charcoal, The same exact size yet one was impossible to wear and the other was barely bearable to keep on!

The reason I’m giving this pant 2 stars is because after the first wear the pockets started to tear where my son carries his phone, this is happening on all the Dickies pants I have bought him, not just one. He really likes the fit, but this is not what I expected from a “work” pant.

I loved these pants ever since I was little. I’ve had to wear to wear uniform throughout elementary and middle school years. I’m a bigger guy and I know that their pants usually run a little smaller. So I’d suggest to get a size or two up! Especially if you’re a guy has extra junk in the trunk!

I have a pair of these and I really enjoy them, but the two pairs I recently ordered didn't even have stretch in the waist at all! The 'flex' labeling was present in the inner lining, but the pants felt like regular Dickies and had no stretch to speak of. I returned them and was so frustrated I'm not sure I'll try to purchase online again.

I bought these recently when the original 874 were no longer carried in my local store. Proceeding with caution I bought only one pair. They felt thin and inferior compared to the originals. They also fit much looser. After less than 1 minute of minor grinding of some steel, the sparks had ignited and melted the pants. Something I’ve not had trouble with from the original 874 after 15 years of wearing them in the same work environment. I will never buy another pair of “Flex” pants and would not recommend them to anyone doing substantial labor.

I really like these pants because they loosen up after much squatting, bending and climbing in and out of my work truck. I did have to get the leg tapered because I didn't like the wideness of the pant leg. Other than that I will be buying 874Flex again.

Been wearing the original 874 for decades. Tried the Flex a few years ago. The material feels lighter, cooler and more comfortable. It is also fairly durable, comparable to the original. I would buy more, but colors available are blue/gray/black, nothing other than khaki to fit my earth-tones preference. Where's the Lincoln Green?

I started out my career 18 yeas ago as auto and Diesel tech wearing and back then it took a lot of wear and tear and wash after wash before they were comfortable so I stopped wearing them for about 8 years because after shopping around I realized I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE LOL !!! and then this big flex revolution of clothes came along so I was gave them another chance and they are much better then before but still need more flex !!! And always order 2 sizes bigger than you are

Only reason I give 1 star is because I cannot give NO stars. I was really excited to get these pants in the mail, when I tried to put them on they were at least 2 sizes too small. I don't get this company. The t-shirts are over sized and the pants are undersized.

It's important to know these 'FLEX' pants aren't like stretch jeans at all. Look at the material, it's just cotton and polyester - same 65/35 blend as their regular pants Flex jeans usually have a small amount of spandex.. When I buy stretch jeans I'm used to them giving a little, these don't give at all. That's important because they run very small, as noted by numerous other reviewers.

Got my brown 874 flex pants super fast, and they fit perfect! I normally wear a 32"or 34" in the waist..with the 874 flex I have to go to 36"..wish they made the 874 flex length 28" like they do with the original 874...just saying...But no complaints here! I love these pants!

These 874 FLEX work pants are great pants....back in October I bought the Original 874 work pants, like I always have over the years because I liked how they did not spot when bleach hit them. Well I was pretty disappointed because something changed and they now spot badly when bleach hits them. These FLEX pants do not spot when using bleach. ALso very comfortable to work in

All my pants are 36x30. I ordered a pair of these in khaki and just too tight around the waist. Returned them for 38x30, waist too big, and when wearing a belt, hook and loop to secure the around the waist comes unhooked. Pockets are shallow, could be deeper, that way when you sit in a recliner your pocket change doesn't fall all over the floor. Too bad, so sad.

Pants are made ok. I'm 5'9 i85 pounds. The pants fit snug across hips and upper thigh so much the pocket doesnt lay flat they bulge like there pulling. The length is way too long by about 2 inches they bunch horribly with boots on it looks like I have my big brothers pants on.

Purchased 3 pairs of dickies 874 flex fit. The clasp on one pair was bent closed so I couldn't fasten them . I ended up having a new clasp sewn on . You shouldn't have to repair a new pair of pants!

Excellent product! Great material, I work on a loading dock, riding a forklift back and forth, in and out of semi trailers, very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The 65/35 material is warmer than cotton and also cooler in the heat. The cut is roomy enough to move in, unlike jeans, which can bind and feel tight. Only thing is that you have to go up one waist size, I wear a 36 in all other pants ( including other Dickies) and had to buy a 38. Other than that, these are perfect pants- and you can wear them for work or casual, or even with a nice shirt and tie, they’re that versatile. Perfect!

Zipper length has changed, about an 1 /2" or so too short. Hard to use restroom. Haven't had this problem since I bought new pants a month or so ago. Why the change? All 5 pairs are the same length.

I have worn the 874 series for years. I prefer the tan color but also use dark gray. The are sturdy and hold up well under daily use. I use them mostly for casual wear but some colors such as gray I have worn with my blue blazer. They are comfortable and fit well.

I've been using these pants 1 or 2 days per week for a couple of months, and so far I'm very satisfied with them. They look nice enough to use as casual wear and fit perfectly, they're comfortable, and pretty wrinkle free too. My only complaint is that the front pockets are a little too short for all of the stuff I typically need to carry with me.

These are great pants for my Hubby and he loves them but the grey ones we bought are much tighter than the black and blue ones. These are what he has worn for over 12 years for work and they are comfortable, last and he won't wear anything else. Just not sure why such a difference in the snugness of the grey ones.

I don't know what's happened. I've been wearing 874's for 30+ years so I know how they fit. I recently bought a pair of the 874 flex pants and I bought the same exact size I have been for about 5-6 years. Same exact color, waist, and inseam that I did last time. The fabric feels different, they are an inch or so longer, and even though they appear to be the same size waist I can't even get them on. I don't know what the heck the deal is. I laid them down over my other 874 pants. As I said before they look like they are the same size waist but they don't fit!

Great work pant. My husband has worn these for several years, loves the fit. I love that they stand up well in the laundry. So glad that this style is still available, hope you keep it around for another 10 years.

just what I ordered. they fit just right plus they have that extra bit of give. I like the fact that I know the 874 Flex trademark and can just go right to it and order it online.

I’ve tried 3 different pairs. All 3 fit different. None are comfortable. Belt loops too small. Pockets come to a point, also they’re too small. Not happy but nobody else makes any like these. RedKap are about the same.

Good fit. Great flex and soft material. Pockets deep enough for a phone to be completely concealed and will not fall out when bending over. Other model pants have shallower pockets where the phone sticks out the top and falls out when bending down.

874 Dickies are the only pant I’ve worn for over 20 years. This last order I’ve received are upgraded with better pocket materials that are consistent in size and durability. Belt loops are sized better and the overall fit is consistent. Nothing like a new pair of 874’S.

The pants and matching shirt fit as expected. However, the front pant pockets are rather shallow. You will not be able to carry much in them (i.e. Cell phone or keys not both in the same pocket)

Comfortable material. Very breathable. I ordered a size bigger than I usually wear and they are still a bit snug. And if I'm writing a review, I may as well mention that is time to put the hook and eye on the past. A button is better. Still, good, breathable work pants.

The flex waistband does not flex in the pants and the waist size was not correct, but too much of a hassle to return. The flex waistband in the shorts works terrific. Why don't the pants flex also?

Pants were very well made and have a nice touch to the fabric, however the "flex" wasn't flexable enough, they needed to have even more give. they had to be sent back
