These boots are great! They were completely broken in after 3 days. I work on an urban farm so I needed a boot that could get wet, last on asphalt, and would be comfortable for standing/working on my feet for 8+ hours a day. They are true to size and not too heavy. I wear a 6.5 in Nikes and a size 7 in other Danner boots - and these boots fit perfectly.

I love them. It took a few days to break them in, not unexpected, but worth it. They are the most comfortable boots I have had since the 1970s.

The toe box was too narrow for my feet. I tried three sizes and none worked. They did appear to be well made shoes, which is why I gave them 2 stars. Unfortunately, they are not made for someone with wide feet.

I bought these for my wife because she wanted something warmer for work. Being a fan of Danner myself I suggested she give them a try. She has been completely satisfied with her choice and has thanked me several times for suggesting them. Thanks Danner!

The toe is a little on the narrow side, but it’s not so much an issue that would make me return them.

Freaking fantastic boot! Tested them out building an 8x8 chicken coop and a reinforced 8x8 run with cinderblocks. Super comfortable, great grip on our mountain terrain and my toes suffered no damage from said cinderblocks! Looking forward to putting them to some more hard work on our property this summer and expect them to hold up great.

Need to double tie the laces. The color is somewhat odd, but the comfort level of these boots override that issue.

I’m between a 7.5 and 8 so I ordered an 8 and it was too big so I returned them, the boot seemed to be great quality!

As a woman that does NOT have wide feet, I still find that the rare construction boots offered for women, that the composite toe box is still too tight. I tried this boot years ago and felt it immediately & so I gifted them. Had since bought the mens Vicious, & though they didn’t fit right as they’re for men, they at least were doable. Needing a new pair I waited for months as they were out of stock, so I thought to give these a second try. But sadly, my feet seriously hurt & by mid shift it super sucks. It’s a very disappointing, expensive, painful mission to find the right boot. I love Danner, the quality and style is great, however, I can’t wear ‘em.

They’re comfortable, and the toes are strong however if you’re worried about the slip resistance feature DO NOT get them. First day I wore them to work I slipped and fell 3 times in the first hour. I can’t return them because at my job they were dirty the minute I walked in. I had to go back to wearing my old boots and I’m back to searching for another new pair. These boots are dangerous, don’t trust them on slick surfaces. For reference, I walk on concrete and rubber flooring.

From day one these boots have been perfect. Comfortable and the fit is great. Good arch support and very comfortable around the ankle and over the top of the foot. Toe width is just right. My feet have never been this happy in a brand new pair of boots!

I'm a biologist who monitors work on both construction sites and vegetation management for tree crews. This is a great boot that balances PPE requirements on work sites but also allows me to hike comfortably off trail when I need to. I wear a size 9 hiking boot but the 8.5 fit me better. Excellent traction. The boot is not excessively heavy either for a CT boot. I've noticed the weatherproofing is not as great as some of my actual hiking/backpacking boots but still holds up reasonably well.

I love the structure of the boot, but I ordered regular width, which is what I wear, and it’s to tight. My feet really hurt in them. I wore them for three weeks hoping they would stretch or wear a little better, but no. I work away from home, so shipping them back in 30 days was not an option for me. I love the boot though! I’ll just have to remember to order wide next time.

I received the boots and they are amazing! I only wish they fit. I wear a size 8 in every shoe brand ever, but the 8's were too snug on my toes. I will be returning and ordering an 8.5.

Bought my girlfriend a pair of these and a couple pairs of shoes from danner a couple months ago. She's in love with all of them but wears the vicious almost daily now. I've worn the mens vicious for the last 7 years now and decided to buy my girl a pair. 10 out of 10. Looks like I'll be buying an extra couple pairs of women's vicious every year with mine now.

Comfortable all day, and light weight for composite toe boots. The fit runs a tad big, but not so big that it’s a deal breaker. Color is good, but doesn’t matter to me. Seem to be a tough, quality work boot.

I work at an electric utility, and I have only been wearing Danner work boots for several years now. I knew they were changing the design but was open to giving it a chance. I did not like the lower ankle on the boot height, and the toe box was noticeably narrower. I need that room in the toe box, so I returned the boots. I'll keep my eye out for future designs as I do really like this brand.

They are comfortable from the get go. However, my first pair of Danner boots were much lighter weight, these are a bit heavy in comparison. Overall I have been impressed with Danners!

I am returning those. I have size 9 danner in another model and these are SMALL in comparison. I am really bummed because I find my other dancers really comfortable but these seem to be tight, the bottom tongue of the boot is almost painful against my foot.

Absolutely love theses boots! They have a narrow foot bed and they are comfortable for all day wear rain, shine, or cold weather. They keep my feet dry during the freezing cold temperatures in Montana and comfortable in the summer. The soles are great for hiking and slippery conditions. The grip soles great on uneven surfaces. Love the color.

Wonderful so far worth the money have arthritis in my feet and these help so much! Thank you

Awesome boots! Comfortable to wear and true to size!

Not impressed with my first Danner work boot. Always a size 9, but found my toes touching the front of the boot, so returned for size 9.5. The 9.5 felt a whole size bigger, so sizing seems off. I bought these boots because it was said to function more like a hiking boot. I'm an avid hiker and was looking forward to better performance boot for work. These boots are no different than any other work boot - stiff leather connected to a sole. Not worth the extra money. Danner needs to put performance features into this very basic boot to make it worth the cost. Also, not sure why the toe wouldn't have protection on the outside like the heel is protected. I have never worn the outside of my heel on a work boot, but everyone wears the outside of the toe open from kneeling or bumping into material on the jobsites. There's the first of many added features that can be added to make this a better work boot for the asking price. Boots are also heavy, and ankle cuff needs more comfort. Overall, just not a comfortable boot. Makes my feet feel burdened while trying to work an already burdensome career on the jobsite. Danner, you can do better!

I love danner because every new boot I buy I never get any blisters, they’re a very easy shoe to break in on your feet in my personal experience. The one issue I struggle with the the outside pinky toe area for me at least is always a bit narrow and I do feel like it can be annoying/sore after working all day in these shoes. All in all I’m pretty well pleased with the shoe performance. They do scuff easily on the surface if you care about that though. The waterproof is quite nice. They’re decently breathable as well. I think my hardest adjustment was coming from a danner higher ankle for to the lower ankle fit in terms of support for my ankles. They make me a great new pair of work boots though so I’m pleased with my purchase.

I work in boots. I usually work a 40 hour work week and I am a plumber, so there is a lot of kneeling, up and down, squatting, bending and flexing that all has to be endured by my boots. I usually wear Timberlands which are half the price of these, but one of my coworkers suggested Danner boots and said they’re totally worth the price. So I bought them hoping that twice the price would be equal to twice the longevity of my usual boots which usually last between 6-8 months. I was super disappointed. The toe wore away within the first month on both boots. I’ve now had them for just under six months and the leather on both boots is peeling off by the layer in blotchy patches. The paint on the eyelets is scratched almost totally off, not that it’s important but it adds to the look of dirtiness of the boots what makes my customers feel uncomfortable with me wearing them in their homes. They are still waterproof but that is about the only thing they lasted longer than the Timberlands which again, costed half the price. I have written maybe three product reviews in my lifetime. A product has to be either really good or really bad to be deserving of this to me. I don’t like whining or taking the time to write this but I am super disappointed in these at the price point. I will never buy these again. If I could show pictures, I’m sure a lot more potential buyers wouldn’t either.

Roomy without feeling bulky, these boots are perfect for my days in the field.

These are very comfortable and easy to walk around uneven terrain on job sites. I will never go back to a different type of work boots. These are the best!

My dad and brother have worn Danner's for some time now and they sware by them. Comfort and quality is equal to none. My dad got me these boots because I was having constant issues with the ones I was buying. I use these for work and walk almost 8 miles a night on concrete floors. I have purchased other brands of boots that just hurt my feet. These boots are comfortable and the break in period was very fast. I will not be buying any other brand from now on. Thanks, Danner, for making a fantastic work boot.

Do not buy these boots if you plan on actually working in them. Bought these boots 3 months ago to wear at work and they’re already falling apart and down to the composite toe. Very disappointed. On the bright side, they’re comfy.
