Very warm shoes. I walked around the city and outside the city in the snow at a temperature of -27 Celsius. Legs do not freeze even if you stand for a long time. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear.

This is my second pair of Danner boots (the others are for work - and I’ve had them for 12 years and they fit like slippers from day one) these hiking boots were no different and I had bought another comparably priced hiking brand to pick between the two and there was no comparison to how great the Danners felt!

I have been using this brand of boots for the last 5-9 years and every pair has exceeded my expectations. I have not been disappointed yet. With the right size they fit like a glove. I have summer pair/s and winter pair/s . I would and have recommended Danner brand to my co-workers and NO complaints. Quality grade A!

Got them out of the box and hiked around Glacier for four days. Feet were dry and comfortable the whole time.

These boots are comfortable and the vibrant outsole is great, but they are NOT warm. Both times I wrote them in the snow my toes were freezing. Turns out there is no insulation at the front end of the boot, major design flaw especially for a boot advertised as a winter/snow boot.

Love the comfort of these boots, but they're almost useless as hiking boots. Why did anyone think that using felted wool for a tongue gusset was a good idea? It gets sopping wet when hiking through spring snow and is obviously the wrong choice for use in wet terrain. Build a model with a goretex liner and a full leather, gussetted tongue and you've got a real winner.

Probably the worst Danner I have ever tried on out of the box. Uncomfortable, rough, and not typical of what I have come to expect from Danner. There is a reason why this product is being discontinued. I still love this company, but this is a terrible boot!

Out of the box comfort. Suitable for wear at home or on Safari.

Very comfortable and functional boot. I’m not a huge fan of the suede finish, as it seems more like a lifestyle boot than a winter hiker. That said, these booors keep my feet quite warm and dry in the New England winter. The zippers work and my somewhat wide foot fits in these regular width boots with heavy hiking socks. One thing I’d love to see is a slightly heavier duty version of this boot for people like myself who need an easy on/off boot for work.

These seemed great. I normally wear a 10 in Danner and took a 10 in these (I wear a 10.5 in Brooks running shoes and a 10 more generally). I wore these on a 30 minute walk today. It was 4pm and 23 degrees, no wind. Couldn't figure out why my toes were freezing. I wondered if my feet had perspired and if perhaps the shoes didn't breathe well. I took the boots off at home but my socks were bone dry. When I plunged my hand into the end of the shoe (toe area) I realized that the 200g insulation stops around the toes. Will be returning and don't recommend these except as a vanity pair of boots to wear around town maybe.

These boots are outstanding. They look good, they feel broken in right out of the box, and they’re easy to get on and off. I haven’t had the chance to wear them in wet or icy conditions yet but I have no doubt they’ll exceed expectations. As a final note, while they are in fact insulated and keep your feet warm, they aren’t too hot as is the case with some insulated boots. I’ve worn them in 80 degree Fahrenheit weather and my feet felt fine.

High quality insulated boot. Comfortable right out of the box. I took these boots toYellowstone and did a lot of hiking on snow and ice. I found the boots to have very good traction. I really like these boots. I just wish I had more chances to wear them.
