Upon return of hat, even store employees thought it was a youth hat, the crown is so short the head band will not seat on forehead, love boot barn, sorry but this item is not for grow cowboys.

I have a Cody James felt hat and I got this straw hat Cody James hat the same exact size and this straw hat does not fit well if it was deeper on the head it'd probly fir better

The hat is simple and looks good on the website so I ordered it without trying it on. The sizing is a little tight, I usually wear a 7-1/8 or 7-1/4 but for this hat, because it's super stiff like a solid block, I had to get 7-3/4 for it to be comfortably sitting on my head. The 7-1/4 didn't quite fit my oval hat and caused a headache from the pressure. I really like it though because the super hard construction makes it feel a lot tougher than any straw hat and I can toss this in the car and not worry about it getting too damaged or bent out of shape. The light color goes well with my white shirts or light blue shirts and the hat is the fashionable cattleman's crease with JB brim so you know it's going to look good. The light color does mean it will pick up dirt or stains but it's easy enough to clean with a wet rag, just wipe it like any solid surface. The hatband (actually a cheap ribbon) needs replacing so if you got a spare or if you have any you like off Etsy, dress this hat up. For $30, you can't really go wrong though, and it's becoming one of my favorite frequently worn hats because it is easy to match with clothes and looks good. Heck, buy 2 and have 1 for the house and 1 in the car and it's still less money than any regular 3x or 6x straw hat out there.

This hat marks my very first cowboy hat. It came in the mail pristine and I have worn it every day since it arrived. It keeps the sun off my neck and out of my eyes and the quality is incredible.

You can't beat this for $30! It's a great hat for shade and it fits me just about right, if you size it up 1/8" or so because it's a very rigid and solid hat from its canvas construction. I wear a 7-1/4 normally but had to size up to 7-3/8. It's a tad loose but unless there is a strong wind it won't come off my head. Be warned that it is not breathable since it's solid canvas with no mesh pattern weave and the 3 side holes each side barely vent any air so in hot weather you will sweat a lot versus an open mesh pattern straw hat that lets in a lot of air. But in winter or colder climes it'll be perfect. There is a good leather sweatband that feels very high quality and it's smooth and soft to the touch unlike some higher priced hats which has that cheap plasticky vinyl feeling hatband that deteriorates within a year or so. I would recommend this for sure for a cheap hat that you can wear and if it gets damaged or dirty, whatever, buy another one for $30. You can have a whole stack of these ready to go if you work hard on the ranch.

I bought this for my grandson. It’s beautiful to look at. However, when we took it out of the box the tie around it had come off. The hat is very stiff.

Hat looked great and my son LOVED it! Lower pr in central on a goid looking hat was good for a 13 year old who won't wear it more than 3-4 times a month maybe.
