Women’s FR Jeans

Oct 26, 2019
These FR jeans look and feel great. I have Carhartt jeans in regular and FR that are the same size and same fit.

FR Jeans

Great style, runs smaller than regular size, would like a more relaxed garment.

Terrible fit

Jul 5, 2018
I ordered a size up, as recommended, and I'm glad I did, because they are still too tight across my hips. These pants fit terribly!! They are huge everywhere, except my hips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are too tight they don’t fit I have to go up to sizes

The material and quality of the jeans are comfortable. The bad thing about these jeans is the fit. I’m a size 2 in skinny and curvy jeans from American Eagle. For Carhartt jeans I’m a size 8! Every time I order jeans I need to have them fixed in length and fit. Can Carhartt start implementing the jean supplier that is similar in size to know which size will fit best?

Not happy

I have a pair of these FR Jean's that are about 5 years old and I love them. Ordered the exact same style and went up one size looking for a little more room in the thighs.. well they fit terrible the size up just made the crouch sag and the material is stretch fabric not a straight legged cotton jean.. needless to say I returned them

Stretchy but still run small

Feb 20, 2018
These are the best of all the terrible FR pants/jeans I have owned thus far. Still size up despite the stretch. Otherwise, they really are comfortable and stretchy. As far as appearance, what can I say, don't expect to look good wearing these (the pant legs are still too wide throughout) but they sure are best of all the worst women's FR bottoms out there.

Very disappointed in the fit. Will be returning since Carhartt doesn’t provide for exchanges.

YESSSSSSSS

Dec 16, 2022
Remember when pants and leggings were not the same? About 15 years ago when every pair of women's pants on earth was styled to look as much like a pair of tights as possible, I stopped buying. I want pants comfortable in the hips, no gaping in the waist, lots of room to move if I need to bend/crawl/climb, cut like a pair of pants (not a pair of tights), and ABLE TO FIT OVER MY BOOTS. These are not quite the perfect design of women's Carhartt 20 years ago, but they're close. No, they will not glue themselves to your thighs. If you will be sad that onlookers can't discern the exact contours of your calf muscles, these are not for you. But if you like your pants to not be leggings, you may like these. I'm curvy enough that wearing men's pants is impossible -- yet these match my hip/waist ratio just right. In regards to the reviews complaining about so much width below the knee -- the ankle is the same width as the knee. In the early 2000s that was considered a "medium" width. These don't even qualify as what used to be called "boot cut" (and still is, in men's pants, since men are apparently the only ones who wear boots). Unfeminine? No. A bit retro compared to current styles? Yes. Also, they fit a little small. I bought a "relaxed fit" size 12 and this "original fit" size 14 on the same day, so some detail on the sizing chart would help. Carhartt, please more original fit!!!

Terrible fit

Fit is terrible, just like all FR for women. Had to order 2 sizes up, now huge below the knees. Wish they actually made these for women shaped like women.

Works well for one body type.

Based on all the reviews, I decided to try these pants because I have no hips or butt. I usually wear men’s jeans but recently lost weight, so that is not an option anymore. Good news: they fit great, stretch a bit after the first day of wear. Bad news: being 5’1”, I ordered the short, but I call BS. The shorts are still way too long. Like 3 to 4 inches too long. And I’m not a fan of the straight leg, but that’s subjective. I’d agree with the reviewer that said these are the best of the worst. The color is nice. They fit well if you don’t have a butt or hips. They seem a bit thin. I’ve only worn them for a week, so I can’t speak to the durability. After trying one out, I had my company order another pair and will probably order these again when they do another round of fr clothes.

Perfect fit

I’ve bought a couple of pair of carhartt jeans in the past and these are the best pair I’ve purchased. Fits perfectly for women. Fits true to size! Love them!!

presently surprised

Very disapointed

Jan 12, 2018
I recently tried these pants as an alternate to my normal Carhartts. I am required to wear FR daily. While I hesitate giving such a poor review as I think these may work well and look great on certain women, I know there are others like me that would be very disappointed. These do run small - I would say quite small. I don't see that as a problem when I can try them on first, but would be a problem if you are ordering them. I was surprised at the somewhat flimsy material and the seams did not seem well crafted - it looked to be really cheap. Again - that was in impression before and during trying on. I would need to wear and use them to be sure. If they are as durable as other FR pants, then the lighter weight would be great. My basic impression was these are lower rise pants designed for women with narrow hips and no rears - they would likely look wonderful and be very functional for the right body types. After these are in the market for more time, it will be interesting to find out if these are durable and work well for the women that like them.

Runs small at waist and big at legs

Jun 17, 2020
I wear a size 18 in women pants and 36 in men's pants When I used carharts size checker it said reg20 which was the biggest size they had in women's pants. However they are small around the waist but very wide at the legs also long, I'm 5-5 so I would have to get them tailored to get shorter too. I tried to wear them but they were too uncomfortable to work in so I'm returning them. It's unfortunate that you can't find women FR jeans above a size 34. ??

They don't fit.

Jul 8, 2018
They do run small. Order up a size.

LOVE these pants if you have hips

Sep 27, 2019
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants fit a little snug, but have a bit of stretch. They fit a real woman's body. I moved up one size and are very happy with pants. I have long legs, and even with ordering the TALL length, I will not be able to put them in the dryer.

Good quality pants but not made for women

Feb 7, 2019
First off, let me say that I love Carhartt. I've never had a problem with any of their clothing until now. These pants are not made for women. They do not accommodate a woman's curves. They are very straight, the crotch/zipper is huge, and they fit just like the same version I got in men's.

Quality but small sizing

Smaller than expected
