I love the pants but really wish they came in one inch inseam increments instead of two. 30" is too short when I sit down & the pants legs ride up. 32" is a little too long and I end up walking on the cuff. Its frustrating and now I'm looking for someone to hem them up an inch since I purchased the 32" inseams.

So happy to see a 28 inch inseam. Ordered 2 pairs, both with 28 inch inseams. One pair is a full inch longer than other pair. Why is that? Neither of them is exactly 28 inches. This shouldn't be so hard. One of the inseams has started to come undone. It has a triple row of seams, but the fabric was barely caught under the first row when sewn. In spite of all of this, I am still pretty happy, as Carhartt still beats the competition.

I have purchased many pairs of Carhart pants but never paid much attention to the actual style numbers. Had one pair that just had a better fit than all the others. Once I started paying attention to the style number, it was # 102291. Only one extra pocket on the right leg for phone or what ever, the pants legs seem straighter at a 9" width at the bottom. Only wish they would make a 31" inseem. R. Preston

Definitely some of the most comfortable and functional work pants I’ve had, it’s a shame I spilled a little bleach on the bottoms already but that doesn’t affect how they function, in fact if I spill a little more bleach on them and they might look expensive ha ha. I plan on buying many more pairs in the future if I come to need more work pants.

I purchased 3 pair. No any defects nor shortcomings in any. Good material, very good quality of stitching.Perfect fit and true to size. Very comfortable. I definitely recommend and will buy a couple more to replace my uniform pants at work, which is actually free for me but I'd rather pay for the Carhartt and feel much better all day long.

Long rise. Deep pockets. Ample belt loops. Comfortable. Good looking. They also come insulated and in a field pant version. They all run small in the waist and long in length. Order 2" larger than your normal waist size and a 2" shorter inseam.

I bought three pair of these before the holiday and loved them out of the box. After a few washes the gravel pants still fit great, but my khaki pair shrank significantly. I would size up to be ready for this.

These pants are exactly what today’s working man needs. Tough, comfortable pants that have a side pocket for your cell phone. I’ve worn wranglers for years then they stopped making a side pocket. See ya. CARHARTT is the best pants around!

I purchased two pairs as I have owned these before, I like the utility pocket for my exacto knife. I find they shrink slightly after washes but will loosen back up after you wear them and stretch it back out. My previous pair ended up having holes after about a year or so, the knife pocket had a hole and the back pocket had a hole (probably from pens and markers) Canvas will occasionally rip, but they're very durable all things considered. Used for work in warehouse setting would buy again.

I liked these pants enough when I first ordered them a few years ago, that I recently ordered a couple more pairs. This was based upon the durability of them and how they fit and looked. However, the new pants that I received which were the same exact pant style number, color and all, were not the same pant. What I mean is that they looked the same, but they were lighter (thinner) and not as rugged. They had a different (cheaper) feel than the ones I ordered a few years ago. I still like the pant... sort of, but not like the older version. It's almost as if they created a Rugged Flex Light version under the same style description. I am sorry Carhartt, but this is definitely not the same caliber of pant that you used to make for this style.

I love Carhartt slacks. Let me share a quick story. I have a pair of slacks that I purchased in TN. I live in MS. I always have to get my slacks hemmed. My cleaners hemmed the slacks and laundry. When I got them back the zipper will not function. Anything you might can do for me?

I really like the material and construction of these pants and was looking forward to replace work jeans with these. However, I am a pretty stocky guy and these relaxed fit were HUGE!! Looked like a tent from the waist down. I would reorder them if I can get a regular fit without the balloon legs.

Was actually hoping for 902784 in moss which is a heavy 100% cotton twill, but could not find it; the pair I have has shrunk an inch in length. So ordered these which are ok but no comparison. Would still like 902784 in 32 x33 or 34 if it ever comes back.

I bought 3 pair from Bass Pro store in Duluth, and liked them very much. So much that I went back online and ordered 2 more pair. They arrived and are nice enough but material and cut isn't the same from what I picked up at store. Went online and bought 2 more pair direct from Carhartt, they are nice but they're like the online pairs I got from bass pro. Still not what I wanted though. Why are the same styles using different cuts and material?

The Carhartt Rugged Flex Rigby Dungaree pants live up to Carhartt's quality standards. The fabric is less stiff than their work pants, but these pants are sturdy enough for "dirty" work. They are very comfortable to wear. The size of the black pants was exactly the same as the size for the grey ones that we had purchased in a local store. After reading other reviews, I was hesitant about ordering online as there is no local store that carries black so returns would be a hassle. Luckily, no need to return. They arrived on time and fit well. They are also nice enough to wear for other than work occasions. My grandson is very happy with these pants. I definitely recommend buying these pants.

I don’t wear any other brand pants anymore.

I was quite disappointed with the fit. I ordered 6 pair of the same style and size. The only thing different was the color. They navy pair were too big in the waist and none of the lengths were the same. After washing the gray pair the length was not the same. I didn’t expect this.

The pants will be fine? however. I know I selected Black as the colour and they showed up being Gravel. I already had two pair of Gravel colour, which is why I wanted Black. I checked the order email and it showed Gravel as being selected even though I know I chose Black. Oh well? I'll just buy Black again? :/

I've bought 4 pairs of these, so I obviously like them. However, the first pair fit perfectly at 32" inseam. The next two were too short, though the same size. (I measured the inseam of one after one wash, and it was 30.5".) I finally bought a pair at 34" length. A bit too long, but better than being too short.

I have purchased 3 pair of the pants over the past 3 months. First 2 pair were from Nicaragua and 3rd pair was from Bangledash. Definitely a difference... The pants made in Nicaragua have a little heavier material and feel like they will last longer. I definitely prefer but unfortunately there is no way to tell when ordering online online. I have purchased 3 pair of pants within the past month, between these and the Rigby 5 pocket, and it seems to me that the ones from Bangladesh run smaller , in the waist, than the ones from Nicaragua.

I bought 4 pairs of these and they only lasted 6 months and the crotch area began to tear and split and not in the stitching just the fabric itself. Love the fit and feel but very disappointed in the quality and longevity of the product.

I like everything about these pants....the style (especially the cell phone pocket) the fit is great, the colors ( I only wish they had the blue in stock), and the resistance to normal wear. I will buy more when it's time. Speaking of buying, I'm not fond of buying my clothes on the internet, but so far Carhartt's customer service has been good.

Liked the fit. Material is very nice. I always prefer slash pockets over Jean pockets. I don't need a hammer loop. So these pants score on all points. I would delete the cell phone pocket.

Pants are great, I work as a HVAC service technician. These are perfect for the summer, light enough to help keep cool, and tough enough for the job. Very comfortable to work in, stylish enough when meeting with customers. Run slimmer then other lines, which is perfect for me since I like my clothes fitted. Wish they had more color options.

I have 5 pairs of these and wanted to get a few new pairs. I have ordered and returned 3 times now and the fit is completly different now. I wear both 36X30 and 36X28 in previous versions. Now the 30" inseams are more like 34" and the 28 ar more inline with what a 32" inseam would be. On top of that the width of the pant at the ankle is huge now compared to the previous version, super baggy looking, not as pictured. Unfortunetly I will be looking for a new brand.

By far the best work pants I have ever owned!! Also go down to a 28 inseam which is PERFECT!!

I thought they would be a gimmick so I only ordered one pair, and after one day of wearing them I ordered 4 more pairs. Unbelievable! Crouching, climbing ladders, kneeling, crawling into a crawl space, they completely move with you wherever you need to go without binding up at all. All of my jeans and canvas duck pants have gone straight to Goodwill or the trash. I will buy these pants for as long as they continue making them! By far the best clothing purchase I have ever made for working. I wear the peat color for work, and I bought 2 pairs of the dark khaki for out of work casual times. My only request at all would be a little bit closer color to the canvas duck at some point...but if it never happens, I’ll still purchase whatever colors are offered! Please, just keep making the 38/28s!! SO helpful to not get them hemmed!!

Pants are not the same as I have purchased before! Ordered 30" length and they are tagged as 30" length but are actually only 28" in length. In addition, the relaxed fit is no longer relaxed fit and much tighter, no, i didn't gain weight i actually lost 10 lbs and these are tighter. Carhart has always been quality and you always got what you purchased. Or are you now MFG in China

Very good summer weight pants, breathable fabric with plenty of stretch. Only lost a star from the overall rating due to being a little too thin to wear in the winter and the fabric attracts pet hair (so be forewarned). But they're aces during spring and summer.

My husband loves these work pants. He works with concrete and tar regularly and they was well. They keep you cool in the summer months and they last a long time. This is the only brand of work pants we ever purchase because of the quality.

These are a truer straight leg fit than the other Carhartt pants that fit much looser. That's why some of these reviewers complain of the fit - they actually fit like a straight leg pant not a relaxed fit pant. They are well made but the lighter material won't be as tough as the thicker materials Carhartt uses. The colors are the only drawback. Dark tan looks great like a medium khaki but the Peat I tried looked like black pajamas. It would be nice to see at least a navy version - maybe even a darker khaki or brownish shade. If you work around dirt these pants show it. Try them out especially if you need something cooler in hot temps. This cut would be great in other fabrics especially something like a 10-12oz fabric.

The product is great but: there are no quality controls. I've purchased several different styles of mens pants size 34X32. I've received pants way too long or way too short on different orders over 15 years. Just had my last two pairs altered at a cost of 1/2 the cost of the pants themselves.

Beware of Production Quality (Inseams and Overall Fit)

First off, it's nice to see Carhartt offer inseams below 30". In my experience, a 30" inseam is so inconsistent b/t brands that some are a true 30", while some would seem to be 32" or even 33" and the only thing I can contribute this to is inconsistent production quality. I fall somewhere b/t 28-30 inseam so I was glad to see them in this style. Instead of going with 30" I sized down and bought the gray pair and they fit perfect, esp. the length and bottom leg opening. So I ordered all colors BUT the fit, length leg opening all fit differently. On the black, peat, and blue pair, it's as if during production they took a run of pants that were supposed to be a longer inseam and cut them down to 28". If you've ever had pants hemmed at the tailor and they don't account for reduction in inseam, the leg opening drapes/flares very awkward b/c the original cut was intended for a longer inseam - it's literally a short cut to a true 28" inseam. The inconsistent production is very disappointing b/c I really like these pants, if I could replicate the fit of the gray pair I purchased in the other colors, my review would have been 5 stars all around. I can only assume and attribute the poor quality and fit of the other pants to sub-par quality and production control.

I have 2 other colors of the same style and these were at least 3” longer overall and 2” wider in the thigh. I looked like I had clown pants on. Very disappointed coming from the factory. They have been sent back.

I've been wearing Carhartt pants since the early 2000's because they hold up to a lot of abuse. This is the first time I've tried this style and I like them. The side pocket perfectly holds my cell phone and since getting out of construction, I don't miss the hammer loop at all. I will definitely purchase more of these pants in the future.

These are great pants! The only reason I didn't give five stars was because the color that's always been a favorite is no longer available. The "dark coffee" color was really handsome and they made the pants look a bit more dressy ie could be worn out to dinner etc. Hopefully the color will come back!

sizing is always inconsistent, but I’ve found that with multiple styles of carhartts. If your size doesn’t fit, try another pair in the same size. This was the 3rd time I got sent a pair that was mislabeled

Hard to rate these by stars as I have mixed emotions. I ordered 2 pairs, same size just different colors. Turns out once received and tried on, one pair fit and one pair was too small. I could also tell a slight difference in the fabrics. So I investigated further to find that the two pairs of pants were produced in two different countries. I also ordered a different style in same size that I already own a pair of and sure enough they were too small also. And low and behold that pair of pants was made in yet a different country. So 3 pairs of pants, all same size, all fit differently, and all made in different countries. Very frustrating having to go through returns process when I shouldn't have to if there were any consistency. I do like the one pair that fit correctly!! Bottom line is it is a roll of the dice when ordering!

After 6 months of moderate wear, all three pair have developed holes in the crotch in the same place on each pair. I had an hour long conversation with Carhartt about this. These are comfortable pants right out of the package. The fit is a little slimmer than the normal work pants but they're not tight and there is enough flex so they never restrict motion. The pants aren't the toughest. Mine started showing signs of abrasions around the knees pretty quickly. The cell phone pocket is ok as long as you're standing, but my phone slips out when I sit or crouch. honestly, the pants would be better without that extra pocket. All in all, they're great for light duty.

I love the material on these pants though. They hold up to scrapes and scuffs, while being flexible for good movement. I wear a 40x32 normally. My first 2 pairs of these pants I got that exact size and they are right on the line of perfect and snug. I went up too a 42x32 on the dark khaki and they give plenty of room. Would definitely recommend to any one!

My go to pants for years have been the relaxed fit washed duck dungarees. I purchased these Rigby's with the thought flex is good. WOW! They are like wearing pajamas.....the most comfortable pants I own now. I own one of pair of "ballroom" Duluth's that are not nearly as comfy as these. Put a black and and an army green in the lineup and I will extend my wardrobe.

I've bought three pair of theses in various colours but the same size over the last two-ish years. They are not all the same size so try them on before you pick them up. The pair I've had the longest have some fraying on the cover over the zipper, but it doesn't look obvious or bad. The two pair that do fit are amazing, but a little off of one another. I wear them all the time for dressier casual events or when just ramming around the house.

These pants met all of my need, almost: comfortable fit, excellent build quality, attractive enough to wear at dinner. The only issue, surprisingly, is the 32” inseam seems shorter, e.g., more like 31.5”. This is odd for a company like Carhartt. Maybe this is a fluke. All that said, I’m pleased with these pants and will not return them. Highly recommended.

Am unable to judge durability yet because the pants are nearly brand new. For reference, I ordered 34 waist. I have another brand of pants in waist 35 and it fits me loosely. These feel like a 32 waist.

I have an old pair and just got a new pair (both 33x32), and I hate the new design. The legs run longer by 4" and they are using a thinner material. Seem to be made for the hipsters that wear Carhartt but don't do actual work other than drink coffee and ride bikes. Been noticing inconsistent sizing on pants and shirts lately, quality going downhill fast.

Happy with these pants so far. I’ve only worn them a few times, and they are quite good. I live in Georgia, and the weight is very good — not as heavy/hot as blue jeans. I’ve worn them doing volunteer gardening at a local historic cemetery, and working a friend’s cattle. Can’t yet speak to how durable they are. Would recommend as one of my favorite pair of pants. Fit in the smaller waist shorter leg sizes is pretty spot on, can't speak on the larger sizes. Material is tough and stiff canvas, nobody makes things like they did long ago but the quality of these is still alright.

Carhartt has been my go to pant company for years, but now I don't know what to do. 34" length of pants made in Mexico were consistent in length and suited my outdoor purpose; however, now I want slightly different more general use style and I've recently ordered two pair. First was model BN0324-M made in Nicaragua, size 34 x 32, and second was model BN2291-M made in Bangladesh, again in size 34 x 32. The second pair is just under 1-INCH SHORTER in length. That is measuring from the top of the belt loops to the bottom of the cuff. I don't know how Carhartt measures length, but what length matters for me is where I wear the pants: the belt loops to the bottom of the cuff. There is an inch difference in the pants I've recently purchased. I guess I'll need to find a retailer rather than on purchase on line.

Very comfortable, flexible pant. I bought these hoping to replace blue jeans the constantly rip or get holes in the knees. After 4 weeks with wear 1-2 time per week they already have a hole in the knee.

I purchased a pair 6 weeks ago. I wear a 36x34 and decided to get a 38 x 34 incase I have to wear base layers underneath. The Pants fit a bit bigger than normal 38's so be sure to know your waist size. other than that , I have been using these pants for everyday work and a times sleep in them and they are holding up. This is my third pair of this style. I really like the fit, quality and durability. They're perfect for when I have to do field work for my job, and for when I'm doing work around the house. The black pair I recently purchased are a little darker than I thought they would be. The picture almost makes them appear to be faded. But I like them nonetheless.

As a 52 year old mom, I do not wear these pants. However, my 16 year old son likes them. Great quality. Pocket big enough for a cell phone. He wore them for his high school semi formal and while I did not agree with the ball cap, boots and untucked shirt, he believes semi formal to mean “parts of me are formal and parts are not”. ??????? Anyway, the pants are great. Buy them.

I love the pants. Very comfortable and loose fitting just the way I like my clothes to fit. Comfort is very important when working or just chillin. No complaints here, well my only complaint is that it took me so long to try them out. I just received these. They look great, but run bigger than the Rugged Work Khaki Pant that I bought at the same time (both relaxed fit 33/32). I weigh about 170 and 6 ft. Both fit, but felt like a significant difference in fit.

I've been wearing the "washed duck dungarees" for decades, but since Carhartt doesn't seem to sell them anymore, I switched to these. The canvas material's a little thinner so they're not as warm as the other pants, but they do everything else that I want pants to do. :)

I like the trim cut, I never understood all the extra fabric for a work pant, could be dangerous. This fabric shrinks much more than before, which is good for me, now I don't need to hem. I really like the cotton fabric and the dark brown color. I like not having to cut off the hammer loop. I never have liked the reinforced back pockets, the seam is always in the way when you're trying to put in a handkerchief or a phone. Is this really an issue? The side/leg pocket. Now it is too big and too deep. Old size is better, glasses, pens and other items stay handy. Now they settle to the bottom, which hits the back of the knee. Was it designed for a phone? Who wants their phone way down there? Plus the hem of the pocket is unfinished. Plus, I like the side pockets on both sides, not just one. You have eliminated two of the back belt loops which are needed. Never have seen that. Cost cutting? I'd suggest un-reinforce the back pockets instead.

Legs are always too long at thirty inches I have a twenty six inseam , and I wear a twenty eight inch inseam. PS Please put them back on the shells in portland oreyou can at the p d x car heart store. It's too expensive to have the seams. Hemmed up two inches, than it's just buying already that way. The cell phone pocket is perfect. For years I bought the B159 model (light weight fabric) and cut off the hammer loops that I don't use. These Rigby pants have the perfect cell phone pocket, no hammer loops, and some tiny amount of stretchable thread woven into them. They look like pure cotton, fit a bit slimmer than the B159 & feel great on the bike.

The jeans themselves are OK but the telephone pocket is on the right side just beyond the center part of the leg. So it is more to the back than the frond and when you sit down you are setting on the phone. That plus they is nothing to hold the phone in and if you squat the phone will slip out.

By and far my favorite Carhartt pant. These are flexible for work for bending and stretching yet strong and durable to avoid abrasion. They are a great lightweight option for working hard, everyday jobs at home, or a nice casual attire option for off-work hours. I can appreciate that Carhartt apparel isn't supposed to be a fashion statement. The products are known for functionality and durability. With that said, they do need to look normal. The pants I received look like bellbottoms. The waist is nowhere close to the size I ordered and the pant legs look ridiculous (for context, I'm a relatively normal size - 6'2 and 180lb). If I wasn't under a time crunch, I would have returned them and replaced them with another brand.

I bought another pair earlier that were grey. 'They were made in a different country and did fit a lot better than the new ones-Peat. Seem to be much longer and don't fit as well.

These pants are great. Soft and comfortable on day one, lots of heavy duty belt loops, fabric that lasts longer than I did (weight creep) made me buy new ones before I wore out the old ones!!!!! And the pockets are incredible. The slanted pockets are made so that everything stays in my pocket when I’m sitting down yet is very easy to reach in a retrieve my super Max phone AND a bulky two-way radio, in the other front pocket. The pockets are deep and wide so my wallet is safely down probably 2 or 3 inches below the pocket lip. My billfold will not squirt out when I’m sitting on a board or a bucket eating lunch. There’s even a cellphone pocket on the right leg although I wish it had a flap with Velcro to keep it from falling out. More colors would be nice too. Grey, brick red perhaps or even tan to light tan. Buy these pants. They’re even perfect for guys who hammer nails because they even have a hammer loop but who pounds nails anymore. Not I !!!!!

These pants appear to be well made, but my problem with Carhartt is that they don't know what a size medium should look like, let alone a size small, which they often skip altogether. Seriously, when the company discovers that human beings that are 5'7" and 150 lbs would like to wear clothing of theirs that fits, drop me a line, because it hasn't happened yet.

I have been wearing this pants ever since y'all changed the style I use to wear. All these have been fine until this last pair I got,the zipper won't stay up. It's very aggravating to be working and my fly will be down. So I started looking at them to see if it was fixable and noticed this pair don't have a YKK zipper on them when all my other pairs do. What happened I hope to god yall haven't stopped using YKK zippers cause I have never EVER had a problem with any of the thousands of pairs of carhartts I have bought over 30 years of working as an electrician!! Do better Carhartt!!! This is definitely something I will check from here on out!!

I always wanted to wear Carhartt growing up but couldn't afford. Within the last few years I was able to start buying for work and was elated. The batch I first bought has lasted about 3 years before I started wearing them out. The latest pair the seat has blown out, but it was the fabric, not the seam ripping. I give 4 stars instead of 5, because I notice that they inside seam is not triple stitched anymore. Why not? This used to be a selling point. I imagine it is to create more of a profit margin which is quite disappointing. I am hopeful but not expectant that these will last as long as the first pair I had. The fit and form is fine, but I wonder if the quality is declining as they continue to push the margin. I might be wrong, and maybe there is a reasonable explanation, but I don't see why you would get rid of this triple-stitch feature (and they really need it, especially in the interior seam for the kind of moving around I do), and it makes me wonder what other corners have been cut that I just haven't noticed.

I tried this on & just felt comfortable, the other carhartt pants are to baggy for me ,theses are perfect im hoping they dont shrink,& i wish they had other colors like blue or black in this style,cmon carhartt do different colors,i got 36x30 & fits perfect other carhartt fit to tight,i know im not a 38 because my other brand pants are 36x30 aswell lol.

You never know what you are going to get from Carhartt now-a-days. Ordered two pairs which I had to go up in size, because carhartts shrink bad. One pair is fine, the other pair not good. One leg is made of stretch material the other not and the same leg is about 1” or more less material than the non stretch side.

Over all not bad fit well have room where you need it and are a pleasure to work in. You will however miss the left leg pocket and the hammer loop the pants also are not a strong feeling pant.

Glad to get special measurement choices but did take them to a tailor to taper the legs as they were fairly wide at the bottom. Now fitting very good and great quality clothing.

Very disappointed in this purchase. This pants ripped the second time I wore them. They were not caught on anything and there was nothing but a flat wallet in my pocket. I believe that I am entitled a replacement. I have been buying Carhartt for decades and I am very disappointed to have these pants fail and in the work environment, no less. Weight gain due to meds. Needed 37 waist but had to settle for 38. BET YA if you marketed odd sizes, especially this style, they would sell ! ! Also, re: cell phone pocket, phone bans against back of my knee- - too low! ... But this also could be size problem. Also, would have liked a dusty green color. But nr 1 issue is no odd size availability,

I own 4 pairs of these paints so far, and they are all fantastic. They are very durable and even more comfortable, and they look very stylish in my opinion as well. I wear them for my landscaping job, and they have held up to some pretty serious abuse as you can imagine. The phone pocket is probably my favorite part of these pants because you don't have to worry about it falling out of your side pockets and it is still very accessible while sitting down. It can take a few days to get used to, but once you do you will love it! In terms of fit, get what size you wear for every other pair of pants, they will fit great. The zipper is very smooth and durable, and the stitching seems to be holding up well on the seams and pockets, with only a very small amount of fraying on the bottom of the fly. Note: I have only owned these pants for about 5-6 months so far, so I unfortunately can't speak to the durability over time. I can say, however, that once these wear out, if they even do, I will be ordering more. 6 out of 5 stars from me.

I ordered a pair of these after finding a pair at an outdoors store nearby. They had my size in one color. After wearing them I looked for more and found more on Carhartt's site. These are some of the most comfortable pants I've ever worn and they're built tough. With plenty of belt loops and solid stitching I expect they'll last me awhile. The fabric is soft and just thick enough for year round' wear with slight stretch for moving around comfortably. Much better than the Levi's jeans that seem to get thinner, have less belt loops and poor quality build every year. I'll be buying more pants from Carhartt in the future.

I’ve been a Carhartt fan for decades. Having worn their double front pants for years I thought these would be lighter but fit the same. They are well made but seem longer and the legs have much more material I.e. they are baggy. I’m keeping them, but will try the next pair on before washing them.

I'm hard to fit. Have 38" waist and 29" inseam. Not available off the shelf and not all makers of jean have size available. Problem of finding proper inseam measurement is even more difficult with latest trend of longer leg fit which creates excess pant length at ankle. Your dungarees are great. Thanks for a terrific product!

I really enjoy wearing these pants. I have two of each color and wear one casually and work in the other. I also have several pairs of the shorts that are great for fishing and casual wear. The side pocket is perfect for a cell phone. I recommend both the dungarees and shorts.

These hold up well, and the color doesn’t fade after a few washes. Look presentable for meetings, but hold up well on those extra long days of climbing in and out of heavy equipment. And the cell phone pocket... super handy!

Don’t hold shape very well. After wearing a few hours, very wrinkled and stretched out of shape. I had hoped to start wearing these instead of jeans that I normally buy but I can wear my other brand jeans for days and they still look good. Disappointed because I really like the color and I like the phone pocket. Also sizing problem, 30 inch inseam to long, 28 inch inseam to short.

The fit runs small. I always get 33wx33l and never have issues. These are tight and I feel the more I wash the worse they will get. I do like all the pockets and that they are easily accessible even fitting tight. Definitely more comfortable then jeans, lighter and cooler. Not sure on durability as I’ve only worn them a couple times. Wish they were offered in an FR Version so I could wear them to work.

I’m very happy with these pants, the material is extremely durable they don’t hinder movement in any way. My only complaint is that sizing doesn’t seem to be quite consistent. I ordered these is black, grey, and tan but they all seem to fit differently. The blacks ones are significantly looser than the others and get lots of lint stuck to them. I also found the tan ones to be shorter than the others. The grey are by far my favorite! I would definitely recommend, just a bit disappointed that the sizing wasn’t consistent.

These pants draw up in the first wash. My pants quickly lost one in length and waist. They fit, but they fit too snug for my comfort. I would not have expected this of Carhart. I appreciate Carhart Tshirts for remaining true to size even after multiple washes. These pants are not worthy of the Carhart name.

Comfort is fantastic (33x32) ... better than jeans I've been wearing more than 50yrs. Phone pocket I liked in Carhartt shorts I started wearing 3-4 yrs ago is why I decided to give pants a try. Pros: comfortable; well made; phone pocket major plus; an additional belt loop vs old jeans means better feel in the waist; material is lite-weight relative to jeans ... means cooler in hot weather. Cons: the lite material means they breath better/ are cooler to wear in hot weather (which is the case 8-9 months of the year where I live). And that's not ideal when it turns cold. Other: can't yet really speak to durability but looks promising. Initially scored a 4 star but changed to 5. Reason is the only con for me is the material could be a bit heavier for cold weather and in the grand scheme of things it's not a fair 'knock' on the pant ... it's cold so you have to adjust to different clothing anyway. The ah-ha moment came when I realized that the jeans were warmer ... all the time!!!

I bought the same style and model number as previous versions that I own. This time I ordered three. The opening around the boot is much wider as are the rest of the legs. I liked the snug/loose fit that the others had. These are more baggy. As much as I love my Carharrt, I wish there was more consistency.

I have 4 pairs of this style so far. The fabric varies a lot with the color. The moss ones were fine. The blue ones got quite a bit of wrinkles and were larger than the moss. These gravel ones are worst, and look like crumpled paper after each wash.

I was unhappy with this purchase. I bought a pair in black and one in blue - both 36x32 - same size as a pair I bought a little over a year ago. These were made from a lighter weight fabric and were approx. 2" shorter than the earlier pair. In addition, the black is not really black, it's more like a faded black or a slate color

I got three pairs (khaki, peat, and grey, 30/28) and two fit great, but the grey fits rather snug. I don't know what that's all about but even so they fit comfortable in the seat and thigh and the 28" inseam is amazing. It's not very often you find pants below a 30" so that's great. They're comfortable and have plenty room for movement without looking overly baggy or bulky.

I have worn this model of pants for 3 years now. They give a good casual professional appearance while maintaining the durability, fit ,and flexibility of a good work pant. I work as an Arson and Auto Theft Detective, and they allow me comfort and durability to move in, around, and on stolen cars while conducting exams, search for or chase wanted fugitives, or examine fire scenes, while still looking professional enough to meet with other detectives, attorneys, victims, or interview suspects. After wearing nearly 15 different pairs of these pants over 3-5 years I don't hardly buy anything else.

Purchased 4 pair of these pants 36w and only one pair was sized correctly. I had to return 3 prs and go up to size 38” so they fit like the 36” waist. I already had 2 pair of these pants and the 36’s both fit great. I don’t know what happened in the last couple of years but only one pair of the new size 36” fit the same as the previously purchased ones. I wanted to take advantage of the new colors and was disappointed about the sizing difference. Other than that i really like the style of these pants and they hold up very well.

Excellent pants. I work as a truck driver and they are great. No problems climbing in and out of the truck. Vey good quality and flexible. Comfortable to wear all day long and keeps legs fairly warm on cold days. Highly recommended.

These are some of my favorite pants. I purchased one pair in the store and liked it so much I went online and bought two other colors. I wore a pair pretty much every single day. They lasted about two years and then all blew out in the same spot in the crotch around the same time. That bummed me out a little but I definitely feel like I got my money's worth.

Last year I bought a gray pair of these, model number 102291, at a local work wear clothing store and they were great. Decided to buy another pair in navy, same model number 102291, but the pants are now manufactured very differently. The material is now thinner and softer, and the fit is now extremely baggy compared to the first pair. Very disappointed in the reduced quality.

Long lasting , durable with lots of pockets for all the stuff I like to carry with me. I do a fair amount of welding work and spark’s aren’t melting a hole in them! Fits well. Bought 36 waist, 32 length, same as all of my other pants. After a few washings, the waist is still just right; however, the length shrunk over an inch. Look like water waders. Still look good with work boots but not with shoes. I may try the 34 length.

I love these pants! I am going to buy more pairs in more colors! They fit great and have great stretch. They run true to size. The black is a jet black. The site makes it look a little washed out but it is true black.

True to size. Bought 1 pair, liked it so much bought a second. Very comfortable, loose at the knees. A bit too loose around the ankles, swishes a lot when you walk. I don't wear these with boots, so would prefer a tighter cut at the ankles. Warm thick fabric - great for winter wear.

IF YOU HAVE BIGGER/ ATHLETIC THIGHS AND SEAT then these pants will be tight throughout the crotch/thighs. If they had a version of these pants in a looser fit they would be perfect, and they’re a stretch fabric so they’re not intolerable as they are, but I’ll be searching for a different type moving forward. I wouldn’t return but I’m not going to buy again. Overall the quality and fabric feels good just another pair of pants that are way too tight through the seat/thighs.

I got these for a brewing job and was mandated to wear pants - I never did! But now I live on property where its muddy dark and cold = These bad boys are amazing and now I own 3 pairs. They look great, they work great, they clean up nicely - They have a decent amount of flex, but they do fit small in the waist - I am 5'9 155lbs and 31*30 tight waist = 32 *30 too loose in waist

I jumped on the 28 inch inseam and ordered 3 pair - 38x28 - the inseam is true but the waist is more like a 40 plus - even tried to shrink one pair in hot wash/hot dryer since they are 98% cotton - no luck - returning the two other pair - please offer more 28" inseam sizes.

I own three pair of these pants now. Two pair are perfect a perfect fit. The third pair bought through the website fit totally different. The waist and seat fit like the other pairs but the legs are baggy and look like they are miss sized or irregular

I love these pants! I’m 5’8” and have big thighs and a slim waste, these pants give me the mobility that I need to get my job done. Carhartt could taper in the leg opening just a little and they would still fit over my work boots and look more like a pair of pants I would wear on a night out.

I work in a Kellogg’s factory 12 hours a day/night dealing with chemicals, getting icing, sugar, flower, tons of stuff like that all over me. I’ve used the same pair of pants for about 2 months straight and before I started working there about 2 months prior I detailed cars in them too. The black/green looking pair. It says their green but they look black to me! But I am sold forever on these. These will be the only pants I buy here on out. Don’t matter if it’s work or play. I will wear these every day. You know you gotta good pair of pants if you enjoy wearing pants you wear to work on your days off. And they’re even better once you get them broken in!

There great pants, but 4 out of the 5 pairs i have ripped right in the crotch area and i have been sowing them back together each week or two, just to keep them going. I do like the material of the pants i just dont underatand why there all ripping except 1 pair.

I like the garment except for two minor issues: 1. Unlike previous Carhartt trousers I have owned this one shrank slightly in the wash. Next time I will have to order one inch longer in the length. 2. The side pocket fits my iPhone 12 perfectly; however, the phone has repeatedly fallen out while I have been sitting down. This has never happened on other Carhartt pants I owned. I don’t know if the material is “slippery”, or if it’s the shape of the pocket, but it’s something I have to guard against now.

Another reviewer pointed this out, but the fabric these pants are made of changed drastically. It's much thinner, more clingy, and much less comfortable. Worn them for years, very disappointing when a company does this.

These pants started off great. I purchased the 32x30 and after a few wears and washes they feel more like 29x28. So I tested out the 32x32 and those now feel like a 32x30 after a few washes and wears. Not sure what I did to shrink them, but multiple pairs have gone to charity because they didn't seem to hold their size.

Very bad fit. Too baggy on the legs and can barely get buttoned around the waist. I normally wear a 38 inch waist and it's slightly loose just the way I like it but you're 38 inch waist pants are way too tight around the waist.

The Dungarees look good and fit great. I hope that they will not shrink with washing. I haven’t had them long enough to rate the durability. I love the cell phone pocket and am glad for the small pocket for a knife. The knife pocket is a bit awkward for putting your hand in the right pocket.

I was wanting some comfortable durable work pants. I decided to get these Carhartt pants. I liked the rigged flex for the flexibility and comfortable movement. They are that and more. I wanted the relaxed fit for comfort. After putting these pants on they felt really good - soft easy to wear and just the features I wanted. I like the pockets. Now I don't want to wear them as work pants. I might use some old jeans as work pants and wear these for everyday use. I'm happy with my purchase.

Good pants for my work environment. I used to wear cargo pants but my wife hated them and said I looked like I was from the 1990s. I am not giving them 5 stars because the cell phone pocket (one of the reasons I bought these pants) is in a slightly odd place. When you sit down in an office chair, the location of the phone is a bit awkward. Also the waste runs a little tight. I am a true 32 inch waste and these are a bit tight for me. My other pants are not like that.

These are the most comfortable work pants I’ve ever owned; however, only giving 4 stars because, like other commenters have stated, the sizes interestingly vary. I tried a 34/30 on in-store and they were an even better/different fit than the 34/30 size I recently received as a gift. I recommend trying them on and buying in person whatever fits best and you will love them.

One reason I like these pants is the cell phone pocket, I put my wallet there while driving. The excess material in the pocket often make taking the wallet out difficult. I have a difficult time finding my length (28"), these are a great addition. If 28" or 29" was available in all cotton (no spandex) I would purchase them.

I bought a pair of these locally and they were great. Bought a pair online and they seemed very different, fit not as good and fabric lighter. Checked the labels and the ones that are great were made in columbia and the the ones that did not fit so great were made in indonesia; will keep that in mind when buying them again.

Great pair of pants for cooler weather. Fit well, not baggy. Quality construction. After all, they are Carhartt. Nice phone pocket and the little change pocket is great for your car fob. Cut to ride on your waist, not below like jeans. Don't fall down when you have a little belly. Relaxed fit is really regular fit so no baggy upper legs. Highly recommended.

I ordered the exact same size and model as a pair I had which fit perfectly. The new pair saw the waist too tight and the legs very baggy. They definitely didn't match what I had in size and appearance.

I've found out that the style 102802 Rugged Flex Relaxed Fit Double-Front Utility Work Pant is more snug on the let portion, but still allows total leg movement.

My husband LOVES these pants! He wears them everyday to work. He usually doesn’t take them off even once he gets home. They are very comfortable, and the gray color is his favorite. For size reference, he’s about 5’11” and 185 lbs and I got him size 34x34. The only odd thing is I purchased multiple pairs at different times, and he said there’s a difference in the feel of the pants depending on where they were made. He likes them both regardless, but still enough of a difference that he has a favorite.
