I have been buying carhartt T shirts and pants for work for 30 years. In the past 5 years, the quality has really deteriorated. Bought several B87 shirts, all manufactured from different countries, all fit differently and the necks have all stretched way out of shape after a few washings. I always bought Carhartt because of the quality, but I will not buy them with anymore unless quality improves.

I love this style of tee shirt with the pocket and before Carhartt came along with the loose fit, they were my favorite. I got a couple of these and I'm not crazy about the loosy-goosey fit. The fabric of the loose fit, while luxurious feeling, does not seem as rugged. I am guessing a catch on a branch may puncture or rip it. I hope I'm wrong about the fabric. I do not like the loose fit as well as the non-loose fit, I hope the older style is still available.

Very inconsistent in sizing. 1 shirt fit perfect, the other one was too small and the neck was stretched out and the last one was giant and baggy. I love these shirts when they fit but tired of wasting my money with inconsistent shirts that don’t fit.

Change the product, lose long-time customers.

I own several K87 pocket shirts which say "Original Fit" on the neck. These were all purchased in the recent past. I'm 5'10" 185 lbs, average working guy for sure and my size has always been Medium with Carhartt shirts. My old shirts rest at the top of my pant pockets, and several inches above my elbow. Absolutely perfect, access to a pocketed leatherman, sleeves don't catch on anything etc. They texture of these shirts is almost a firm, starched feel. I would not describe it as soft. I love these shirts. The new K87 shirts... "Loose Fit" has replaced "Original Fit" for these shirts. These shirts are now cut for little gangsters who sag their pants, not a man who works with his hands. The new shirts hang about 6" longer and completely cover your pant pockets front and rear. The sleeves are 3-4" longer and come down to or below the elbow, potentially snagging on your work environment. The (solid colors, at least) shirt says "100% Cotton" and it may be, however it feels like a cheap poly/cotton blend (like the heather patterned shirts). Thin, soft and flimsy is how I'll describe it. Hate it, and I just bought 5. All going back, baby. Carhartt, please don't hit me with: "WE ARE SORRY TO HEAR THIS. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US IF WE CAN ASSIST YOU IN ANY WAY." Instead; DO SOMETHING about this and give your customers an option to buy the "Original Fit" K87 we're used to. All the recent good reviews are from people who have never worn a real K87 before this year. Be the company you are and make a difference. And to those people who like the longer shirts because "it stays tucked in;" if you're tucking a T-SHIRT in....you'd better have a tool belt around your waist. Otherwise you need to reevaluate your wardrobe habits! J/K but not really ??

I really like the deeper shirt pockets on these. Hopefully no more holes in the pocket bottoms from pens and pencils. The shirts fit well and are comfortable.

He is 6'7 205 lbs and normally wears a large, so I opted for the large tall. It is very loose, so I recommend sizing down. I would also like to ask Carhartt to consider making a tall in your medium size as well .

I ordered the neon yellow. Shirt is great, like all Carharrt products. Durable and lasts a couple or a few years of rough wear and tear on heavy jobs. I like the cotton better than the "moisture wicking" polyester, to me polyester feels like wearing a trash bag, makes me sweat more.

I have been a customer for over 30 yrs and my last order contained a mixture of K87 100 % cotton made in Honduras and K87 60% cotton and 40 % polyester made in Guatemala; the shirts made in Guatemala are total junk and won't even make good rags! Very disappointed !

You physically have to see what you are buying here there is apparently at least to varieties of this T shirt 2 different materials were used making these shirts .....if you are not careful you will pick an inferior material which I am am convinced is made by a different company for Carhartt !!!! Buyer beware !!!

I bought this shirt a couple weeks ago because of the work I do I don't get to wear it much but it is incredibly comfortable. I used to hate pocket t shirts but I don't think i will ever switch to another t shirt. the quality just feels tough I absolutely love this t shirt I am so glad that I bought it. I do have to admit it is a little baggy but I love it my only regret is that I wish I would have bought it sooner. Definitely worth every penny spent on this shirt

These are good for cooler weather, probably about as good as they get, and aren't too expensive. Some nice colors, also! Original fit runs large, but relaxed fit is not so big, if that is an issue. So far, so good with these.

Been wearing work ware pocket t,s for years. The tall size is great. Bought on line for a better selection of color and size. The on line purchasing system and delivery worked well. Just a note the darker colors tend to fade a little sooner than expected. Great product, comfortable and tough. Best T on the market.

The color and quality on this shirt is outstanding. I ordered 3 more colors when I received this. This was my first Carhartt purchase and I absolutely loved it. It did fit a bit to oversized but it’s definitely not a problem although I suggest sizing down from your normal size.

I have always bought these shirts. They were heavy, held their shape and looked good on me. The newer ones are much thinner and do not hold their shape or body. Depending on what country they are made in the neck opening can be over a 1" difference. Bring your product and manufacturing back to the US and we'll pay for the good, solid, heavier top-line T-shirt. The shirt originally deserved a full 5 stars, but lately, it doesn't get it. Please return to the ORIGINAL!

This is a very nice quality shirt. Well made with good stitching, good heavy material and vibrant color that doesn't run. Minus one star for sizing. ALL my shirts are LARGE, this tee shirt is a bit too big for me but wearable, did not want to go through the hassle of returning it. A Medium would have been perfect for me. I have another Carhartt L shirt that as oversized also. IF?I order another shirt from you it will definitely be a MEDIUM.

I use these shirts (K-87) as part of my required uniforms for my business. Some people complain of the size running too big for sizes, but the way I see it and of the experience I have with clothes shopping, these are durable, long lasting and made a bit larger to withstand the duration of multiple washes so the person can enjoy the product much longer than your average shirt company. Prices are reasonable for the quality given. The only thing I am changing after 10 years of buying this style shirt, is the color.

Ordered two tshirts. The old original fit shirts were perfect and they fit snug around the neck with a tight collar. These new ones are floppy and baggy around the neck. Totally brings down the look of the shirt. Please bring back the old design

The loose fit isn't as Loose as it used to be. I get a medium and it fits too tightly. A large has too much room under the arms and is too bulky.

I rated 4 out of 5 because of sizing. The shirt fits extremely big. Maybe 1 or 2 sizes bigger. I'm a short guy about 5'5" roughly 160 lbs and I usually wear a size large and medium on shirts, but I had to go with a size small on this shirt. However, Comfort and quality is good. I wish you guys can make a USA made version. Thanks

The fit is perfect in sizing and being loose fitting. Pocket is strong enough to be functional. Color hasn't faded at all after 5 washes, even a few my daughter ran on hot with a bleach alternative (which isn't recommended). Shirt is soft yet strong, seams are well constructed without being uncomfortable like some heavyweight tees. Great buy, I'll be back for more.

I bought 5 of these. All Larges. All of them were the same fit except for the color, "Port". I actually got 2 "port" colors--one in Medium and one is Large. The Port Medium matched the Large size of the other colors. I assume the Large Port was more like an XL. Other than that, great shirts. Will buy again.

My son in law , a truck mechanic/driver swears by everything Carhartt and these were a gift for him. He is a Big and Tall person and hates to dress up, but always appears well dressed in good fitting and well made clothing. my grandson,age26, is also employed in the trucking industry and wears XL or 2X tall and he too prefers Carhartt brand pants and shirts, hoodies and coats for the way they fit and look as well as the way they last through much wear.

I mean what is there to say?! , this shirt is a must have in all of the men's wardrobe in my house. The ladies even wear them to work around the house because they are so comfortable and lightweight. They last forever, unless a hole is formed from an accident but otherwise, the fabric is amazing!

Amazing quality for the price. The fabric is very thick and durable, which is important to me. It doesn't feel like it will catch, snag, or rip on any tree branches when hiking. The fabric isn't the softest, but it definitely isn't scratchy. I'm guessing it's for durability purposes, which is worth it. After a few washes, it softens up some. The shirts look awesome and the colors are great. Know that THEY DO run one size larger than normal. I'm 5' 8" and thin and I normally wear a medium because I like my shirts a bit longer and looser. However, I read the reviews and went with a small, and it fits like how I like my mediums to fit. Overall, awesome quality shirts that look great for a very reasonable price. Great for both workwear and outdoor adventurers.

Absolutely love Carhartt 100% cotton tees. Bought Amethyst Fog Nep, Powder Blue Nep & Green Nep, 3 new colors! They are NOT 100% cotton and the flecks of black color throughout are NOT dye! They are tuffs of fabric on the inside and out. They look and feel after washing like the worst pilled synthetic fabric you have ever seen or felt!

Great shirt reasonable price. Too many places make junk t shirts but not Carhartt. They make a good shirt and remember to keep the prices reasonable. After all when you get dirty you tend to go through shirts and money doesn't grow on trees. Also I'm a big guy, so having a good t-shirt nice colors and great durability means a lot. Not just when I'm working but while I'm relaxing having fun. Thank you.

Heavyweight cotton is excellent. Fit is on the roomy side but this makes it pretty much shrink-proof as is a huge issue with cotton shirts. I washed them and ran them through the dryer on high heat when I first got them to take a bit of the room out, and they have been stable since (and very comfortable).

I have always liked my Carhartt shirts and I am enjoying all six of my new ones. I was disappointed in the seventh one which arrived with a tiny hole in the middle of the back. I sent it back but was told I could only get a refund for it instead of a replacement. When my refund showed up in my account, the shirts were no longer on sale. Not too happy about that but It wont stop me from buying more shirts or other products from Carhartt.

I have a long torso. At 6'10 I only wear a 34 inch inseam on pants, just to get an idea what my torso length in. These shirts look nice and fit well. The hem of the shirts reach to the end of my fingers. Wife says they look good, so I guess they do. Only complaint is I would like a true red, blue or green and not these slightly off colors. This is the second time I've bought carthart and they wear and wash well. Will buy again.

Not as comfortable as past t-shirt purchases. Incredibly long. Past 3XLong were just right in length. Rather than return these three shirts, as that can be a hassle, I donated them. The texture and feel and sizing was definitely off. Probably a cheaper material was used than in past purchases.

I like to skate in Carhartt stuff and even their more expensive "streetwear" line, Work In Progress. These shirts are nice and loose and great for the price. The best part is they don't get all stretched out or rip easily. I'm tall and sort of slim but I normally wear XL because a lot of brands large size shrinks to a medium in the wash but the XLs I got in these were so big I had to shrink them down. Luckily they kept form and didnt get all short and wide on me. One problem I have is how long the sleeves are. They come down do your elbow and it reminds me of soulja boy tall tees lol

The cotton quality is not what I was expecting at all. The weight of the cotton is a lot less than the last set of T-shirt’s I bought in 2016. This shirt is great for just simply "doing stuff." The material isn't anything special, but it's good quality and provides protection from normal hazards. The "tall" sizes are a bit big--my XL Tall fits just slightly too big for my taste and I'm 6'2" 230lbs. But it doesn't hurt the function of the shirt.

Colors are exactly as advertised. Fit is as advertised. Slightly oversized compared to other shirts which is normal for this brand. Stays tucked in because of being slightly oversized. No plumbers crack. Heavyweight t-shirt, should last a long time. A little bit rough feel, but should soften up and break in after a few washes.

I usually wear a XL, but with these I went with a large, and after drying it in a hot dryer it shrinked to fit just right. These shirts are heavy, both the short sleeve and the long sleeve, which fit just the same. Good length if you tuck your shirt in. Great overall tshirts.

The K87 shirt in previous years was quite good. A thick and durable shirt for work that had a good fit. It was comfortable. Well that all changed within the last couple years. When the shirt switched from "original fit" to "loose fit" carhartt claimed it was the same exact fit but it was not. It was overall bigger and looser, not a good fit. Also, at some point over the past couple years the quality of these shirts have gone. They use to be thicker, softer and didn't stretch out so easy. Also many of the new ones have a bunch of polyester in them that causes pilling. What a shame cathartt.

It is great and I am loving its stout build. However, if you buy anything from Carhartt called loose fit and you are slim like me, order one size smaller than normal and it will fit great. On relaxed fit items, you can order your normal size.

sizing a little large compared to the shrinking sizing seen today in clothing. good weight to the material with no noticeable shrinkage after washing in warm x 1 and drying in dryer on hot cycle for cotton. would buy again. the logo is a little too prominent on the pocket, however it is sewn on and can be removed.

So if you like a loose baggy fit go with your normal size but if you want a little more snug of a fit go one size down.

I'm 5'8" 150lb and the medium is just too tight for me, so I got the large. It's still worth it to get these, they're great, but if you're of athletic build just know that the medium may be a little too tight and you might have to trim the large.

My XL TALL husband loves this t-shirt! We were having difficult time sourcing heavyweight 100% cotton plain tees in an XL TALL size, gave up even on LL Bean and Eddie Bauer, our former sources, as they are polyester mixes. I had heard great things about Carhartt clothing, and liked how on the website it lists which solid tees (not heathers) are 100% cotton. He especially appreciates how LONG the sleeves are for his big frame, they fit even better than his former tees. Thank you!!

Construction workers have to be out in the heat and humidity. They are also required to wear the bright colored ones and the ones with synthetic in them makes them way too hot. Can't you make one that's 100% cotton and lightweight!

I purchased these for my husband. He has a huge beer belly and his old t-shirts are too short and too tight. I like the Carhartt shirts because they are long. He told me that they are popular with construction, plumbers, etc because of the length.I want to add that my husband loves them as well. It's nice to be able to order on line. Nice option that they have a breast pocked (which my husband likes). When washed, they maintain their shape and the seams don't shift. I am very pleased

I usually love these shirts, but my most recent order was a huge disappointment. I ordered the botanical green and it was significantly bigger than previous shirts. The pocket was about 2 inches higher than it was supposed to be and was extremely crooked. All my shirts are made in Guatemala, but this one was made in Honduras, so maybe I just need to avoid the shirts made in Honduras. Pro Tip: Order a size down if you don't want the oversized look. I'm 6'3 and wear a medium and it fits like a large would in any other brand.

Very durable and quality material like always. Gave it 4stars because I usually wear a M in everything else and it fits just right but I didn’t see the “loose fit” when purchasing. Loose fit Medium looks like a dress on me so Downsize to a small if you’re a true medium.

I own one of these shirts. I have had it for well over 10 years now. It is still my favorite T in my closet. Tough and durable but now mostly faded! They don't seem to be as heavy weight as they used to be. I don't think they will last as long. And they do not have as many colors as they used to have. Overall somewhat disappointing.

It's very big not designed for jobs with snare hazards, great for hot or cold weather, the light green color is highly visible but not low light reflecting, great for night work, but not road construction, emergency vehicle/roadside assistance, or lumber/forestry work. I typically wear a large and won't wear shorts unless they cover my knees, in other words I prefer loose clothes.... I'm going to try a medium, I'd say order a size small, shirts also don't shrink so don't bank on it.

For all of my many, many years I have been a medium T-shirt. I purchased K87-HGY in medium but it fits like large. Tractor Supply either doesn’t stock Small or else they are grabbed up before I can get there. You are not alone in this regard. The fattening of America is causing manufacturers to enlarge their products perhaps to mollify those who have lost control of their guts.

The product is of great quality! However, the size is all wrong. I am a big guy 6 feet around 250lbs. I ordered 2x tall t-shirts. Now I live in t-shirts, the tall was right on, but the 2x is HUGE. It is like wearing a 4x shirt. Now I get it, having a little extra room for work and being able to move, but this is ridiculous I would have been better off with just plain x-large. Live and learn.

First off, Carhartt K87 shirts are the ONLY shirt that can handle the workload of my job and are literally the only shirt I wear. If I didn’t change colors daily, my coworkers would think I wear the same thing daily. The shirt is tough, lengthy (to cover plumbers crack), and fits well.

I don't have time to fully articulate how great these shirts (I bought 5 of them) are. They really are stupendous. They are heavy-weight. That's what I really wanted. I like the loose, comfortable fit. I could not seem to find what I was looking for in bricks-and-mortar stores. I've been looking for decent, heavy-weight, loose-fitting t-shirts for years. Finally I found them, and a source of supply for them, and there is a good selection of colors. And it is great that they have a decent pocket that I can put a pen and notepaper in.

The original fit K87 is my favorite shirt because it hasn't changed. I feel like it's hard to find men's t-shirts that don't have a very fitted cut anymore. Especially in the sleeves. Super short and all up in your armpit. For me, fitted clothing is appropriate the further up the scale of "dressed up" I go, but I don't want it in my t-shirts. Give me some room to breathe. I appreciate the roomier, boxier fit very much.

Great shirt, very affordable, one of their cheaper shirts. I own many in different colors, actually this shirt is what I wear mostly during the work week. Fits true to size. Shrinks very little almost unnoticeable. They offer tall versions for most sizes which gives an extra two inches if you need it or wanna tuck your shirt in. Can color coordinate the shirts with their beanie selections. Pocket convienent for wallet, notepad, pens/pencils, or car keys or a few granola bars when your on the go lol

I love these shirts. Very comfortable and sturdy. But also a good weight. Not too light and not too heavy. Good length for when you reach up or bend over it covers your gut and your butt. I got one of these and loved it, so went and got 6 more in every color.

I was a machinist for 42 years. Carhartt was the only brand brand I couldn't wear out. Very comfortable and strong shirts. If you think Carhartt is pricey, think again. Over time you will be spending 2 - 3 times more on the cheaper brands.

I have worn Carhartt products for many years like 40 some years. I recently ordered Loose Fit t- shirts. only to discover they are larger than my regular medium shirt. Why did you change sizing? I took them out of the package and into the washer they went. So I will wear them out but I wish I would have known sizing. Thanks John

Shirts run large, they are loose regular 2X, went with 2XLTall way too loose, will work over long underwear long sleeve tee or sweatshirt. Ordered XL Tall should be perfect. I'm loosing weight, good too, experimenting with size.

I really like my Carhartt Pocket T-shirts. They are very comfortable and should last a long time. They are a slightly thicker material so they hang off your body and don't hug you too tight. My only complaint is that where the sleeve is sown over it crinkles because it wasn't sown over completely straight.

I have worn the K87 tee’s for many years now and their quality and last ability can not be beat. The only issue I have with this new order of 10 shirts is that I have found that the black K87 tee’s sometimes have mis-sized necks that are much too large. Of my order this time of 2 of the black K87’s I have 1 that the neck is really too oversized to wear. I wish you would replace it with one that has the correct size neck.

The K87 Carhartt shirts have changed materials & fit. These are made for short heavyset guys with huge necks. By the end of the day of wearing these shirts, the shirt is sagging on me, & the neck hole is so stretched out it almost hangs off my shoulder. I downsized to a size medium, but the neck holes are also huge. I still have a few of the old school K87s that in comparison are exceptional & worth paying the price of a Carhartt. I've been wearing K87s for years, but I'm currently looking for a replacement. Change is sometimes good, but not in this case. Does anyone remember New Coke?

Well, the reason you see so many guys wearing this shirt out on the job site, in the coffee shops or even walking down the street is because it is the perfect tshirt. My only advice is to go down a size from what you normally wear. And the shirt is longer than normal to prevent plumber's crack

These mediums fit me closely like the large t-shirts that I have. Most of the large t-shirts appear a little to big on me, that why I thought I'd try Carhartt's medium size. I might order some Carhartt small t-shirts to see if they fit me like how I prefer.

Very good quality. The t-shirt pocket is precisely square on the top left of the t-shirt. And its length definitely will not come out of your pants if you wear it tucked-in. We were glad to have found Carhartt because our old personal supplier stopped making it and became difficult to find it at stores and on-line.

I’ve been buying carhartt k87 t-shirts for some time now. Something about the newer shirts just doesn’t feel right. The older models of the k87 shirts were very thick and definitely felt the heavyweight of the material while my recently purchase carhartt shirts, they are thin and doesn’t feel as rugged and durable as the older shirts. I wouldn’t buy these if you’ve owned the older models.

My favorite was the 100% cotton blends but I tried the gray 90/10 blend and its remarkably cooler. As someone with age and girth, I don't change easily but this shirt won me over. After washing it looks great and helps me stay cool

I like the colors and material a lot, but the sizing seems off. My husband is 5'7 and neither heavy nor thin. He's between a size M and L in most brands. He got these as a gift in M, and they are way too big. They fit him as if he's wearing someone else's clothes. Way long in the sleeve, and in the body. He looks dwarved in them.

If you like a tight fitting neck and your head isn't the size of a bushel basket, I don't recommend this shirt. The neck is big enough for 3 normal sized heads. Other than that, they are okay. This is the only brand I used to buy but their quality has diminished.

Years ago I purchased these t shirts for my husband in the regular length; and they fit right at his waist but when he bent over there was the dreaded visual that you don't want strangers to see. Do not be fooled by the sizing here. I ordered a small, and it was bigger than a standard large t shirt. It’s supposed to be loose fit, but the sleeves come past my elbows, and it hits about mid thigh on me. Definitely a high quality t-shirt but fits more like a dress.

Only T-Shirt in the closet!!!!!!

The Pocket T-Shirt (hunter green) is well made and the color stays through many washings. I like the tall as it leave plenty of room for my belly and still long enough to eliminate plumbers crack. Watch out for the blue color it seams to run a little smaller for some reason.

Bought a lot of T shirts from a lot of other places. These are the most durable that I have found. The navy blue color seems to fade pretty badly, but I kinda like them like that. I'll definitely keep buying them.

My husband looks great in his new t-shirts and he says they feel good, too. He doesn't like clothes that are snug and these are just right. They also launder well.

Fabric seems lighter weight than previous shirts I have purchased. Prefer the heavier material. After 5 years of purchasing Carhartt I (about 12 shirts/year) I am looking for a new brand. Too bad.

I like the quality, and the size large fits my husband, however, the sleeves are too long for the shirt. He’s 6’, and the sleeves come to his elbows. My husband likes the fit, but I preferred the original fit he had before. Unfortunately. I forgot to order that one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shirts are of good quality however they vary in size especially in the neck area. I do not like tight fitting clothes so the loose fit is okay on some of them while on others it appears to to be a 5xl tall not a 4xl tall. I notice these shirts were made in Guatemala and Honduras. Two different factories probably causing the issue.
