I ordered a pair online and they came about 1&1/2 sizes too big. I’m working l on the road working long days and thought I’d trust these carhartt boots. Let’s just say they’re not the best work boot I’ve ever bought. I don’t really have any time to return them so I had to take that loss. Not very happy with this boot.

??If I only had some insoles ??

The insoles are almost none existent. It's basically walking on concrete. Now I have to buy some insoles too... This is disappointing and would have deterred my decision to purchase.

Work Great.

Only issue I have is the lacing rings. I have another pair of 8" and the rings are movable d-rings and much easier to tighten/loosen boots. These complicate things but that's the only complaint.

Absolutely love this boot, first pair ever and it's been about one year and they've lasted. The wear and tear is a bit rough for the work I've been doing but still trucking along!

I work outdoors about 12 hours a day, from rain to sun and snow. I bought these to use as my winter boots and I'm so glad I did. I owned a pair of cathartt before and they were the best boots I've ever owned, these have to be right up there. They are 100% waterproof so far and have very strong soles to them. As I expected it took a week to go through the normal break in period, the heel supports were the worst part but after a week, I have to say I couldn't be happier

Fit great. Took me 2 shifts to break them in. But now can wear all day no soreness. Looking forward to winter season to test waterproofing

Best Boot Ever Made!!!!!

I have tried a lot of work boots in my career as Maintenance in a prison and these have to be the best boots I've ever worn. It took about 2 days to break in the top of the boot where your ankle is at but the sole is very comfortable. I had my first pair for 2 years and they could probably go another year. The composite toe is a great feature for having to pass a metal detector and keeps your toes safe just like a steel toe. Remember these boots are insulated so in the summer your feet will get pretty warm.

Takes a few wears to break in, but fits well, looks good, maybe a little wider than I thought.

Wore these boots for a year as a welder/ construction worker. One of my favorite pairs of boots I've ever had. Will be getting another pair. Lasted extremely well.

Great boot so far. Keeps my feet dry through reasonable depth of snow and standing water and hard rain. Safety toe was nice during colder days in regards yo warmth vs steel toe. Came with decent laces for holding up to abrasion and sparks from welding and grinding. Sizes are as expected.

Wide opening, little protection, poor design
JohnN
Jan 5, 2022
I have wide feet and my foot fits well with half inch more space for toes. However, the top of the boot flares open, about 1 1/4" in the back leaving a giant gap where snow, pebbles, debris, etc or cold air to fall into your boot. This wide opening makes it easy to put boots on and off, but doesn't offer the protection I want for my feet. Extremely disappointing considering Carhartt only has a few Insulted boots and these are gapped around the leg and allows the elements in anyway. I'm assuming whoever designed these only ever put boots on an off and never wore them in the outdoors.

I really like these boots actually but the material for the heel is way to rough to the point where i had to switch them cause i walk for 8 hours a day. i havent worn them cause of the damaged it caused to my heel but in time i do want to wear them again

Very comfortable!. Great ankle support, Great toe protection. A bit heavy but after a while you'll get used to the weight of the boot. I utilize them in an urban environment so i'm sure these are even better in a rural area.

I'm really enjoying these boots. The keep my feet warm and dry in this Minnesota weather. I usually wear Carhartt pull on boots. I decided not to leave after Christmas and go over the road trucking until April like I use to do. I decided I would stick it out working in the winter with the tree company I operate a rear mount grapple truck for. We don't work when it is below 0. These boots has been great so far during the winter months.

So far after one week they feel great with no long term breaking in routine. Compared to my old pair, these are an upgrade in comfort, safety and look. I highly recommend if you are on your feet all day and need protection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Should have bought them sooner. They kept my feet nice and toasty in 20 degree weather. Best of all they are comfortable and didnt have to break them in at all. I work outside anywhere from 8 hrs to 14 hours a shift. Tried a lot of different things. These boots are the solution!

Wore these for a little over 3 months and the entire back of the boot where it is stitched ripped out on both boots at the exact same time. Didn’t even last a whole winter. Extremely dissatisfied!

Unless you want water blisters, bloody heels and pain for days I suggest buying cheap boots. I feel horrible for blue collar workers!
WE DONT RECOMMEND !!
DO NOT BUY!!!

Fits great for being a half size bigger than I usually wear. Only complaint is on the right foot on the left side where the bone on your ankle sticks out gets pinched. Otherwise very warm. Can't wait to see how durable they are in the commercial construction environment I'm in everyday. Can't wait to see how it holds up to the Buffalo Winters we get up in NY. Stupid question but since these are waterproof should I still use some waterproofing on them?

Bought them for our grandson for his work in construction. Live in Post Falls, Idaho. His feet stayed warm and dry in this cold weather in December and January. The first day he wore them he said his feet did not hurt, like most boots do the first day.

i have had these boots for bout 2 months now and have warn them in warm weather and cold weather. in warm weather they are a ok boot but are not very comfortable when compared to a boot like Timberland Boondocks. there is very little cushioning in the heel of the boot so if you are a person that walks heel first you will notice this right away. the other thing is that when they get cold they are like skate when you first come in from out side, i personally have fallen twice where i have not been able to catch my self. the soles become like rock when working in the snow and cold, for the price of these boots i was expecting a lot better from them, so inconclusion the boots are two months old and i have to replace them as they are a safety hazard. do not recommend these boots for any one working in colder climates.
