I suggest going one size down from usual size. I typically wear a large, but for this vest a medium is a better fit.

This vest is solid. I will get the same in tan color next month. It is a loose fitting vest.

If you normally wear Large or Large Tall consider getting yourself a Medium if it's a Loose Fit item. You will thank me later. This was a bit too big for me, but luckily I have a large group of people who are more than happy to take any discarded Carhartt items so we found it a great home!

This is my favorite heavy duty vest. Very warm ,very durable and love the chest zip pocket perfect for Cell Phone. The stand up collar if zipped all the way up protects your neck and wind from going down your chest while still being comfortable

Had to replace my old Carhartt vest since the previous one finally wore out after over 10 years. Fits great and am pretty happy with the new one. The only thing that bothers me about the new design is they changed the inside left pocket. My old vest had a pocket with the opening on the top and a hook and loop closure which was fantastic to put pens, small notepads, or my phone in. The new vest still has the pocket but it has a zipper closure on the side. While the pocket is bigger, I think it is less useful since I can't just slip a pen into the pocket.

Perfect for when it’s not freezing but still cold. The lining inside keeps you nice and warm.

I'm 6' 1" 245 and the XL Reg fits very well. I had tried an XLT and it was very snug. Two XL Reg. fit the same with some looseness to allow layering. So, there are still size differences within the same sizes sometimes. Being able to zip the vest up to your chin is great! Keeps the air from going down and giving you a chill. Wish Carhart had made these 20+ years ago. Even the smaller collar is nice to keep some air off the back of your neck. The blue is very nice. Very happy with the product.

Quality Vest that looks great over flannels or crew neck sweaters. Very durable Carhart material. I'm 6'1" 195 and a Medium fits perfectly. Not too tight. A large was too loose.

It looked great, felt great, and appears to be very durable. Be carful it runs really large if you were a XXL an XXL in this will be way too big. I can’t share much more I had to rerun the one I ordered because it was too big. I couldn’t order a new one because they didn’t have it available in an XL. I’m disappointed because where I live it’s getting too warm to order a vest. I’ll wait till November and see if I’m still in the market before I order a new one.

It might be my favorite item of clothing in the closet. I love this vest. Ordered down a size which was completely necessary. Great quality and very comfortable. I wear it around the house almost every day and wear it outside in warmer winter days. Really helps to cut the cold!

A decent hoodie and the vest is all I need to stay warm no need for a big bulky jacket. I actually bought one for work and one for play.

Took a great vest, moved the 2 interior pockets, and ruined it! Now anything in those 2 pockets sits on top of your midsection instead of on the side and is more noticeable and also less comfortable. Have had several of the older style where the pockets were set about an inch and a half further to the side and they wore great and anything in the pockets were not noticeable. Will not get anymore of these vest! Also there appears to be an attempt to put a pencil on the right outer pocket and one of the vest arrived with that opening unsewn. I am very disappointed mostly because of the new placement of the 2 interior pockets and I do not like the zippered pocket on the left side. As I said, I will never get another one like this! Only reason I can figure is the bean counters trying to save money in production and messed up what use to be a great vest!

I got one for Christmas; my husband saw it and had to have one too. He almost stole mine but it was too small for him.

Ordered a medium which was the size of my carhartt vest my employer purchased for me a few years ago. It was much bigger but I was able to exchange it for a small from a carhartt store 20 minutes from my home in Cherryhill NJ. The store owner was great and I will definitely be shopping there from now on. This year’s small is the medium from a few years ago. The vest is warm and provides great mobility for work as a carpenter. I would recommend this vest.

Great fit and look, feels a little big but it is an outer wear piece, so it is probably the correct size, just never wore vests before so have no reference point.

This vest is GREAT! It’s one of the few items I’ve bought that is actually sized properly. Amply cut, no tight fit here. Dunno why I waited so long to get a Carhartt. The only shortcoming IMHO is the need for snap or velcro closing cargo pockets so that I don’t lose my keys, etc.

Very loose and need to down size. They don't make Carhartt Washed Duck Sherpa-Lined Mock Vest for Men - Dark Brown - S. I guess SMALL people don't matter or they are not hard working outside workers. SMALL people can't get it in Dark Brown color. If you can find one that fits its a good product.

The size on this vest is no where close. I own a size L V33 vest and wanted something a little more snug, so I bought a size Med in this style and it's overall BIGGER than the V33 that's a "size" bigger. Now you have to waste time and money returning an item that's basically not what it was said to be.

HUGE, bought a small, this is a large, an ill fitting large too, the waist is 43", 5" larger than the old vest, just go back to the original design. Great if you're looking to get sucked into a piece of machinery. I work at a sawmill so anything that loose is an absolute no.

I ordered this vest as a Christmas present and it came with a hole in it. In the front, right underneath the carhartt logo. I'm not sure how a defective product passed any sort of quality control but it has me questioning Carhartt's quality and their quality standards. I am unable to get to a post office to return the item and if I could, it would now be too late to have a replacement by Xmas. Shouldn't have to deal with this nonsense from a "reputable" company.

Loose fit is way too large - Bring back the Relaxed Fit Washed Duck Fleece LIned without the hood.

Bought this for my farmer husband. He is in love with it. He’s actually asking for a second one. I got him regular length medium and it fits well. Even after washing it. Didn’t seem to shrink much, even in the length. He’s 5’11 160 pounds.
