got this hat this morning: the fit is slightly very slightly large which surprised me because I have another Bullhide hat that is slightly snug, both are sized close enough to be a non-issue. I was surprised by the initial appearance of the hat, it looks better than an Ariat I have in black. As expected it does not feel like a Stetson, Resistol or other popular brands fur felt hat but it is very comfortable and the crown has the feel of an oval rather than a perfect round like most inexpensive hats. To keep the story short it is a very good value for the money and the untrained eye will never know your wearing a 40 dollar wool hat, it is stiffer than I like but I have a 7X beaver from one of the famous brands that is almost as stiff so it is what it is. I am happy with the hat for what I bought it for but If I wont wear it horseback. I'll give it 4 stars because I really expected to be returning it and instead will probably buy another as a gift to one of my grandsons.

I have been very pleased with Bull Hide v Hats. Boot Barn Service has always been great. The sales person (Laura) took extra time to help me with some size adjustment tips.

This hat looks great and you would be surprised at the $40 price. The color is a lot darker than chocolate though, more like Mohagany almost and looks almost black in subdued light. It will make a great daily if you need a good felt to work in. The only gripe I have is that while the sizing is right, this hat is more round than oval and there are some weird spots that just don't fit me correct so I had to use some inserts in the sweat band. Hopefully over time it will mold to my head better.

this hat is simply amazing the quality is on top, I recommend it bullhide.

Great hat - purchased for Tanner a young man asked for a cowboy hat for Christmas. He is at the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch and learning to be better everyday. It was a perfect match to his boots and I’m sure he is going to love it.

Good hat, a little tight when first wearing but breaks in nicely. Changing the band as I don't like it's buckle quality.

Exactly as described and fit perfectly. Husband is using as his work hat but is dressy enough to wear out on the town.

The hat its self is a great hat for the price. The hat band came to me half glued on and falling off wherebit was suppose to wrap back on itself. Quick trip to north 40 for a new hat band and this is easily one of my favorite cheaper hats to own

Got this for my husband for Christmas. Decent quality for the price, and hat has a good shape on it. The only downfall is the hat band. The other reviews were correct as it looks cheap and fell apart. Easy fix though as I purchased a better hat band for pretty cheap. Overall I am sure my husband will love it.

Great quality and beautifully crafted hat. My size in other hats I own ran a bit large but easily compensated with hat tape. Fits comfortably on my head and is an inspiring look well very functional.
