These have been my go to for several years now, I hope you never change the style. I was quite disappointed that with my pair I received as a gift a couple of years ago, I experienced a broken zipper. I hope to find someone to repair and will keep my new ones out of the mud for the most part.

I bought these boots because of the wide toe box, and love them. I have worn them almost every day for over a year. I just now had to have some stitching redone, but that's a small price to pay for such a good boot.

My husband got me a pair of these boots for Christmas 2022, and the zipper on one of them failed within the first month or two. I reached out to Ariat and they sent me a new pair. Now, less than a year later, I am having the exact same problem with one of the zippers failing. It’s a shame because these are great boots otherwise.

Saw these good looking boots. Had a horse show to judge, got the boots. Brought them with me, to the show. I put them on the first morning i judged. Fit like a dream! Wore them both days, now I wear them everyday! So comfortable

Awesome Boots! They are so comfortable. The only thing that i can say wrong about these boots is that they rub right above the ankle, but that could be just cause they are still stiff and not broke in! All around great boots, very happy with my purchase!

These boots are very comfortable and my feet are happy even after a long day working with the horses. They do run abouta half size large and evenaftergoingdowna half size Ifind them best if worn with heavysocks.

I just got these in this week and LOVE them. I own 40 acres of mostly timber, but around 5 acres of cleared area with chickens, gardens, house, shed, and the like. Either way, all of the acres need tending. I've owned Georgia Boots and the like before, and my feet (from toe to heel) always ACHE by the end of the day. Not this time. My feet felt great, during and after!! I know I'm at the beginning of their use, and I truly hope I don't have the wear and zipper issues I read, but I'm excited to have these boots and at this point I highly recommend them!

The Barnyard Boot is made of comfortable leather. It is sturdy, with a side zipper and wide toe box, and is easy to get on and off. This is my third pair!

Fantastic boots! I own 3 pairs in varying states of wear...barn/garden, hiking and a 'dressy' new pair for running around town. Excellent for travel...the side zip is easy off and on through security. Runs a bit large and also stretches with wearing...I ordered a full size smaller.

I absolutely love these boots. I have a hard time with width, foot pad comfort, top of foot comfort with boots. From the moment I put these boots on, they fit perfectly. I wear them 12-15 hours per day with no foot fatigue or discomforts. Good ankle, and foot support. Great sturdy, non slip soles with out deep grips so soles do not hold dirt. And is quite stylish.

LOVE these! Wanted easy on, durable & good quality boots. THESE ARE PERFECT! Well made (as Ariat always is, thus the price) and the quality makes them worth the price Ankle is a bit high for those of us "heels down" folks but not uncomfortable. Would HIGHLY recommend as they are getting harder to find!

I bought these for working on a ranch because I was looking for a comfortable boot I could walk in all day long. I wanted to love them but the collar of the shoe was so stiff and rubbed up against my ankle and leg. I would never be able to walk all day in these or even an hour.

Absolutely love this boot! Just wish it came with composite/steel toe.

This is my second pair, even my pups love them.Which is why i had to purchase another pair. Love the fit, love the style. If you decide to no longer make, need to purchase enough to last me.

I've had these boots for a couple of years. The fit is a tad large. Once the ankle softened up they became so comfortable and warm. My husband waterproofs every leather boot that comes in, never had wet feet. Unlike other reviews, NO ZIPPER ISSUES!!!! We raise and show cattle. I've worn these to shows, through wash racks, loose poop and mud, sprayed them off good and went to dinner. Look as good as day I got them. Just like any leather, they do need to be cleaned or at least rinsed off. Acid from manure will cause thread and zipper breakdown on ANY leather boot. Ariat boots if cared for last for years.

Bought this item October 2021, this is November 2021. These boots are already starting to degenerate. 1) The zipper on the left boot was not properly installed. The zipper stop was sewn in wrong. So, the zipper stops at the top of the boot and with no stop there, the zipper teeth are wearing out and will soon come out of the fabric and render the item useless. 2) The left boot lower leather is sagging and wearing out. I have used Ariat boots for decades. In the beginning they were great. But, every pair I buy gets worse and worse. It is time to find a different brand.

These are comfortable boots, but a pain to get on. Why is the zipper on the outside instead of the inside?!? Very hard to bend over and try to zip while keeping the boot together. Zipper should definitely be on the inside, then it would be straight and so many people would NOT be having zipper problems. FIX THE ZIPPER,!!!!!!!!!!

I've owned 2 pair of these. The first one the zipper took 2 years to break. I bought a new pair and the zipper broke after 4 months. They are extreamly comfortable, and I loved them. PLEASE ARIAT USE HIGHER QUALITY ZIPPERS!!

Because the Ariat footbed is so nice I continue to buy these as they are super comfy and wear them daily. I am on my 6th pair but each pair did not hold up even one year, each pair had the stiching blow out EVERY time and also had the same zipper problems. I try not to re-order but this time Im questioning it. Ariat same issue from all the reviews; I hope you are listening. We all want to buy them but they are poor quality. We hope you will fix these 2 main problems because most people still want to buy them. Are you listening to this?????

Have had these boots for almost 2 years. I love them! They are easy to get in and out of, very comfortable and also pretty water resistant. I have been stepped on twice by horses in them and my feet were well protected (did stress the stitching though. And was also glad they were not tight, gave my foot room to move when I was stepped on). I have made sure to replace the foot bed (I learned a lesson the hard way by not doing that, planter fasciitis!). The boots will stretch once you break them in.

I had a pair of these I wore for a good 6 years. They were comfortable in the saddle or working around the barn. They were due to retire so I purchased Ariat's Keswick boot. Quality was awful and dug into my shins. Even bought ariat insoles to make more comfortable but did not work. Decided to go back to this tried and true side zip. The pair of boots I received look like plastic compared to my old pair. Within a few months the zipper broke and sole came off the other boot completely. Ariat boots are not made like they used to be and I was a die hard Ariat fan. I'm so disappointed and feel like I have lost a friend. Not sure where to turn to for quality boots now.

I am loving these boots. They are very comfortable. I have a lot of foot/toe problems from lots of running, these have good toe room (but not overly big). I have several pairs of the boot cut riding pants (the kind used more in English riding) and they don't fit over my western boots. So these lower boots work perfect. They seem very sturdy and should hold up for a long time.

I bought these boots about a month ago and they were super comfortable right out of the box!  I like them because they aren't too tall and your feet have plenty of room inside (my feet are a little wide).  I was worried about ordering the right size but they run pretty true to size.  You definitely won't be disappointed!

Very comfortable walking bootie. It is a bit snug in the ankle to wear thick docks on me personally is my only negative issue. I am sure with continued wear that will change hopefully. I would definitely recommend these for comfort with a stylish flare from the two tones snd side zip.

Nice looking and sturdyI have a medium size foot but kind of narrow. Slightly loose fit, but wearable with a wool sock.

I’ve had these boots a few weeks. Very uncomfortable to start with on the left leg. Also my feet get soaking wet when walking through wet grass. Very disappointed

I really like the look of this boot. It is a bit narrower a cut than the last zip style and very tight around the top, also slightly shorter. I have been wearing them off and on for a week and hope they will stretch out. As all Ariats… well made.

These boots did not require any break in time. I do all my chores and riding in them and I am so happy with my purchase. The only negativeis thatthese boots do run a sizetoobig. Whenever I read reviewsthata shoe/boot runs a size to big, I still order my true size because my feet are a bit wider and I've NEVER had a size problem. I ordered a 9.5 and had to exchange them for a 9. So listen to all the reviews they do run big. Other than that I couldn't be happier. Also, living in Hawaii means shipping is always more but Ariat customer service was awesome and worked with me on my exchange and shipping concerns.

Almost more than 15 years my only pair and I travel great for easy to take out. The best pair and please Ariat keep doing this pair forever!

I've had these boots for 6 months, picked them up at my local tack shop. I hate regular paddock boots as they are narrow in the toe for my wide feet. I have worn these almost every day for 12 hour works days walking, teaching, and riding many miles. They are so comfortable and easy. The only downside is the zipper, while I haven't had the issues others have experienced the zipper does crease and you need two hands to open and close. But, I'll deal with that for the added benefits of comfort and versatility.

This is my 6th pair of Barnyard Side Zips. All weather, all terrain, sure work for me!!!!

These are my absolute favorite pair of boots/shoes, so needless to say they get a lot of wear. the first pair wore out through the leather at the top, which was kind of understandable. This second pair seemed to have better leather and wasn't near wearing out and then the zipper broke! I am so disappointed! I really have to decide whether to try getting another pair or not. I know they are popular - another barn mate has a pair and I have seen a vet at our barn with them...Despite the zipper problem, I would still recommend them for because of how comfortable they are.

Loved the footbed on these as I do all Ariat boots. Ordered a half a size down and they fit perfectly, just as the reviews all said. However the ankle area hit right on my ankle bone due to the short height. I tried to cut off socks, doubling up to reinforce the ankle area trying to keep them because I love the foot bed so much. However they were too painful to keep.

This will be my second pair. My first pair have finally told me they want to be retired. I love that I can still buy the same exact boot years later! Thank you for keeping perfect perfect.

I hope for the sake of the hard working people who enjoy comfort, safe heel, easy wear and the best shoes I've ever own..... please Ariat know I have 5 pairs for later in case you discontinue. But please don't ever do that and actually do pair for men as they want them as well.

I like the look of the boots but the ribbon on the top rubbed a sore on my ankle and was just very uncomfortable.

Zipper problems. Leather has separated from the sole on the front and sides of both shoes.

I bought them for my and forgot I gave them to her. Then one night she says "thanks for these boots they're so comfortable".

I've had one pair of these boots for four years, and am now going to finally replace them with the same style. The arch is high and luxuriouslycomfortable.They're greatfor riding, but also forhiking, walking... they polish up well and I wear them every day, for everything. Never had trouble with the zipper.

I bought these for the barn, but they are my daily go to for work as well. They have axeide you box which is important to me as I have Mortons Neuroma. Being on my feet all day, on concrete......these are the only boots that I'm not crippled in by the end of the day. The easy on/off with the zipper is also a great feature. Oh, and they're pretty much water proof when bathing the horse! (And they look good too)

I have had three pairs of these boots. After wearing the first pair for a few weeks, I liked them so well I ordered another pair. In the meantime,the stitching andleatheron the inside seam at the ballof the foot came apart on the first pair. I returned them to the store and Ariat replaced them at no charge. Within a few more months the same thing happened on the second pair. This time Ariat declined to replace them although it was the same problem ...a design defect placing a seam right where the boot flexes. The third pair has done the same thing, once again after a few month's wear. My local cobbler has patched the damage, but they leak water and now the outside ball of the foot seams have started coming apart. I have experienced only one zipper problem and the cobbler was able to repair the original zipper. I really like the boots. They are very, very comfortable, don't have a deep, mud catching tread, and (when new) were water resistant. Easy to put on and provide good cushion and ankle support. They are exactly what I want for a daily wear chore boot on my small farm but, until the quality problems are resolved, I would not buy another pair.

Bought these a few months ago in March and they lasted all of 2 months before they started to crack. It’s now July and the zipper falls down and they have holes in them. Not the quality I was expecting.

Lightweight and solid. Easy to get on and off while still form fitted. Exactly what I was looking for.

Very comfortable. My 2nd pair. They are labeled "Upper is leather" But the narrow band around the ankle is not leather. It is a fabric coated with plastic that looks like leather, until it starts wearing, and then looks crummy.

These boots were comfy the first time I put them on and are holding up great!! I abuse them daily at work (I’m a horse veterinarian). I can wear them at work all day and they support my feet - I have horrible arches and am on my feet al day. They are super well made. I can wipe them off and wear them to professional meetings with a pair of kakis. I wear them on the weekends with leggings and a skirt.

Ive bought 2 pairs so far. The first pair lasted for about 4.5 years before the zipper broke wearing them almost everyday on farm...with heavy use...fencing...barn refurb...painting etc... The 2nd pair the zipper broke in about 2 months of lighter use lostly feeding and riding our horses. I was so disappointed but ill see if they can be repaired as some on here have done. Cause these have really no break in time needed...i can do hard work in them all day and my feet are still dry and comfortable. Ive been stepped on about 4 times with my big 1500 lb drafts and no damage to my feet...i couldnt believe it...love that I can muck and ride in these too. I have also tried my spurs with them...spurs do slide a bit but my horse doesnt need much so wasnt a big deal. I get compliments on these from other horse folks all the time...love them...just disappointed in 2nd pair zipper. I took everyones advice on down sizing by half point and i have plenty of room for thin or thick socks. So easy to put on and take off too especially when you are tired and your back is aching...

This is the third pair I have purchase of these boots. My first pair were great and lasted me for years. The second pair seemed OK but only lasted for two years before the top seam blew out. This third pair I bought the same size per usual and expected the same fit - but these are loose and baggy around my ankles which make them borderline dangerous. I am exactly the same size as I have been for years so no physiological changes on my part! Very disappointed they don't fit and perform anywhere near my past pairs.....

Had them for a few months when the zipper failed. Need to be redesigned. These boots were put to work on a horse farm, I'd expect them to hold up. I was surprised by these boots since I've owned only Ariat boots (English and Western) and half chaps for over 20 years!

Super comfortable, breaks in really easy. The boot is very stable and stands up to wear and tear in the barn.

Quite disappointed by the 2 pairs of Barnyard side zip I have bought : the leather of the 1st pair cracked on the top on the foot (despite good care and oiling) and on the 2nd pair, the sole of the 2 shoes broke away. I asked the shoemaker to glue them again but it did not work.

I absolutely love this boot. They are comfortable from day one. Unfortunately, my most recent purchase of a year ago does not seem to be as durable as the previous pairs. After a little over a year, the zipper has failed and the toe stitching has failed. I am very disappointed that the quality no longer matches the price!

I have had the same pair of barnyard boots for the last almost 4 years. They are well worth the money. I have turned over countless water buckets, visited my animals in muddy and hurricane conditions, and been to the beach and never have wetness seep into my shoes. When this pair wears out, I will definitely buy more. These shoes are as comfortable as a tennis shoe with the rigidity expected of a boot.

Just get my second pair. These are comfortable, warm, and waterproof. Have had so many compliments and know several friends who bought and loved them as well. Easy to keep clean (important!) and age beautifully.

I like these boots. Very combortable and roomy in the toe. I read what others said, so I sized down. I wear a 7.5, so I ordered a 6.5 in these and there are still too big! Bad sizing.

I've been searching for a riding boot with a wide toe box and this is it. Very comfortable even with a bunion. Half chaps fit over it perfectly. Boot fits nicely in my English stirrup iron. Water-proof, too. Nice to have dry feet after all the rain we had.this season. The boot is advertised as running large for size with the recommendation that you order a half size smaller. I did that and the fit is perfect.

Excellent fit right out of the box. My wide feet were so comfortable, I wore them for 8 hours the first time and felt as though I wasn’t wearing shoes. Light weight, supportive, and so cute!

Bought for both riding and general wear. Like the quality and fit, extra sturdy at the toe. Definitely waterproof. Fit well even for wide foot. (Often need to go up a 1/2 size due to width but didn't for these) I also have a high instep - they are a little tight at the instep but are loosening up with wear. Being v careful with the zip.... pleased with my purchase, I just hope they last!

i was very skeptical about buying these boots, given the many reviews indicating problems with the zippers. I have owned them for about 2 years and have never had a problem. Granted, at this point, I only use them as dress boots because I love them so. I love the look, and the fit is the most comfortable Ariat boot I own.

I loved these boots until the teeth of one zipper first started to widen away from the other teeth near the top of theboot. The cloth around thattoothwasstarting to unravel and getting caught in thezipper too. This was just a little over a year after I bought them. I just didn't zip them up as far because the defect was near the top of the boot. Within about a month though the zipper came completely off track and made that boot totally unzippable. Like the other reviewer I am shocked at how much it will cost me to send the boots in to have a new zipper etc. It is almost as expensive as buying a pair of new boots. And I have no idea why the zipper tooth and cloth started separating away from the others in the first place. I did not wear these boots hard. Right now I have no horse and was not even actively riding or cleaning stalls the whole time I owned them. They were worn casually most of the time and I wore them riding only once or twice in the space of the year I wore them. VERY comfortable boots though! I was truly upset that they were no longer wearable. I was going to just buy another new pair but now I am not so sure after reading all of the other reviews. It is a shame though because I truly did love thest boots up until the day that they came apart! They are just too expensive though for me to have to replace them every year.

I bought these in the winter and they were back ordered and finally got them in May. They are great. I love the zip and so comfortable. The only problem could be that switching from a heavy sock to a light weight one could make them sloppy but I have a narrow foot.

I really like these boot. I have only worn them to a football game but they are really comfortable.

I have received them as a gift. I have used them daily 2 - 3 hours per day doing barn chores.After 10 monththe right shoe started to leak waterat thejunctionof leather an rubber sole. There isa hole Ican fit a tip of my index finge. The same shoe Inside aspect stiyching pulled apart.Otherwise they are cofomfotable and functional, but quality is lacking.

I am on my third pair and not one has lasted a year before the inside stitching at the ball of the foot rips. They are extremely comfortable and I can wear them around the farm all day, but I have bought my last pair. At this price, they should last more than a few months.

I love these boots: they were my first proper riding boots and made a huge difference. They are also an excellent work and walking boot--well cushioned and supported, and generally waterproof. They look good and are easy to slip on and off.

I had a pair of these I bought a couple years ago. They fit and perform very nice. The old pair had a little cinch at the top which wore out in about 6 months. So, I had to use tape to hold it in place. The new ones don't have that feature. So, better than the old ones. As with most of my Ariat boots, my last pair only lasted about 1 year. I wear them hard every day doing chores, hiking and other work. That is the only bad thing about these boots. They do not last. Good thing I have lots of duct tape. GREAT FIT - WON'T LAST

I was extremely happy with these boots, they were so comfortable I could wear them all day. Then because there was a spur rest I started using them for riding. Again, very comfortable. However, I would have expected that the whole boot would be leather and could withstand a bit of rubbing by half chaps. The dark part around the ankle is the thinest of plastic and has been rubbed off within a month. For the price I am very disappointed.

This boot is my best barnyard friend. I can go from mucking the stalls, to riding (dressage), to the wash rack without changing my shoes. Great traction in our slick clay mud. All this activity and my feet stay toasty and dry. I have thin, narrow feet so they are more roomy than my Heritage dressage boot. I compensate by wearing thicker socks. Small tradeoff for a boot that takes you everywhere.

So far these are perfect. Roomy enough for those older feet to not hurt and easy on, easy off, since I go in and out many times a day. I am being careful with the zipper as per the reviews.

Amazing. Literally got these on the night before my 2 week work trip to South Korea. I've always had problems with boots because my feet tend to be on the wider side and never had proper support even with more expensive sneakers. I sincerely hoped I wasn't making a bad decision in buying these and taking them on my trip before even trying them on. I'm a bit on the heavier side, too, so doing something like this was a huge risk. Let me say... THESE ARE INCREDIBLE. I walked 22,000 steps my first Saturday there and I could not be happier about my purchase. They look great with my jeans, they fit great and they were perfect. They look so good in person!!!

I've had these boots for years and I still absolutely love them, they haven't broken and are really great endurance barn boots.

This is my second time to order these exact same boots. I wear them every single day at the barn and after 2 years of HARD wear, one got a hole it the inside seam. They are support comfortable and easy to slip on and off with the zipper (rather than the pull on style). I've had 4-5 friends actually ask to try on my boots! They are expensive for barn boots but worth the investment for the amount of wear I got. I wear them riding after too and they are great when you are going to ride & walk around for an event. They are not waterproof but they are fairly water resistant. One they get wet you need to give them a couple days to dry out. I will order them again in 2 years when I destroy the next pair. Highly recommended.

These are the best “Barn Boots” I have ever had. Easy to slip into and zip… absolutely water proof … I have worn them almost daily and this is my third year. Mud, mucking stalls, riding, and just as rain boots… I wash them off with the water hose. I’ve read new reviews that say the quality has changed. My advice to Ariat would be… when you have a great thing…don’t change what you’re doing!

I’ve lost track this is either my fourth fifth or Maybe the 6th pair in 4-5 years I just love these boots!!!!!

They are super comfortable to wear when working in the barn. The zipper does allow water in but rest of the boot stays waterproof (just keep that in mind when going into a muddy pasture). We’re tight around the ankle at first but have worn in well. Very cute style that is functional.

I really like the boot design. They are comfortable and the leather and stitching held up. My biggest problem is thatthe zippers do not lockandunzip themselves. I woretheboots for a year inAfghanistan everyday. I just have to pull up the zippers a lot. I will not purchase or recommend these boots because of the common problems with the zippers. The insert is also of poor quality. The layers peel up at the heel. I'm still wearing them after 2 years for working around the barn and yard and to walk my dog ~1.5 miles each day. I really like them, but the zipper is aggravating.

These boots are comfortable to wear in the barn and working on stalls all morning; however, they do not hold up for more than a year with continued use..the zippers start to fail and then the toe area where it meets the leather breaks in time and makes the shoes very uncomfortable.

Love them!! They are so comfortable, easy to get on and off and rugged since they are a work boot (even though I am using them for casual and super cute for that).

VERY disappointed! I was so excited to get these and when I did the zipper does not stay zipped! There is no lock at the top of the zipper so as you walk the zipper just goes down, down, down

I wanted to love these, but the height and design of the ankle is all wrong. The top hits at the exact wrong spot and is so bulky that it hurt to even walk a few steps. The sizing is also different from every other pair of ariats I’ve had. If you try them, size down by 1/2 to a full size

Hadto cutmyselfout with scissors.Loved everything else about these boots so a year later I risked buying the second pair, which lasted about 2 winters (I only wore them during our short winter months, and then only at the barn). Same thing again with the zipper. When the leather around the ankle breaks in And softens, it gets those creases and so does the zipper, and then it's just a matter of time before the zipper fails. It pains me to see the price of these boots is now $30 higher. It used to be you could invest in an expensive pair of Ariats and they would last YEARS.

Watch out, these boots are at least a half size larger than they should be. Every Ariat shoe / boot I own is a size 9, but I'm swimming in the size 9 Barnyard boots. I even checked to make sure they weren't put in the wrong box. After paying shipping and import duty, I can't afford another pair. What a waste of money.

Just received my new boot order. Ordered 3 pair. This one won over for the job - in the everyday barn chores. Adorable, cute, absolutely perfect fit and comfortable the moment my foot slid into the boot. I just can't return the other pairs, though. Ariat is the BEST.

I am on my fourth pair of these fantastic boots (over a 20 year period). I wear my old pair to the barn every day, and keep my newest pair for "good". The barn boots are still sturdy, waterproof and comfortable, and still look decent because I keep them cleaned and conditioned. I won't buy any other brand as long as these are available.

Let me start by saying that I currently have 6 pairs of Ariat boots (not to mention many past pairs as well), all of which I love. They are all different styles, all the same size, and all very comfortable. They last well when properly taken care of. So, I had pretty high hopes for these barnyard zip ones as well. When they arrived, I was impressed with the construction - they looked tough. I did notice that they looked rather "large", and sure enough when I tried them on, found it to be so. Utterly disappointed in the WAY off sizing of this style. I was positivley swimming in these compared to all of my other size 7 Ariats. So I checked and double checked that the size tag inside the boost was correct, that I hadn't mistakenly recieved wides, etc. These boots were just BIG. Extra length in footbed, and even more extra "room" across foot, as well as in ankle area (thought about exchanging for a size 6.5 in regards to length, but didn't due to amount of extra space in rest of boot, didn't seem it would make enough difference even to size down a bit). Had to send them back. It's been a couple years since I purchased Ariats, and now I'm wondering if this size thing is consistent with all their boots or if I just happened to wind up with a bum pair. Either way, it's a $10 loss having to return, so probably won't order online again.

Have been wearing them for about a month now. Love them but could have used a smaller size. Ordered based on my foot length on the chart. Have to wear thick socks for them to fit. However, I love the convenience of slipping into them quickly to go outside or up to our barn. They are advertised as being waterproof , but there is no gusset behind the zipper to keep the water from going in through the zipper. At least I can walk in low water with my dogs.

They were surprisingly comfortable from the first moment I put them on. They provide just the right amount of protection from getting stepped on,but are nottoo heavy orhot soI can wear them year around.Andtheyhave a lot of style to boot!

These boots are sturdy enough for work around the barn but low profile enough for riding. I love them so far!

I bought these boots for myself for my birthday. The first day I wore them it was raining and cold and the boots kept my feet warm and dry. I love these boots!

I loved the ease and comfort of these boots. But... after 4 months, the zipper on the right boot would not lock and kept coming unzipped.Then, at 8 months,the other bootzipper would not unzipand Ihad to cut theseam to get the boot off. Granted, I work in a horse barn and they got wet. But, I bought them as work boots and they should have lasted longer than 8 months. I would not recommend them unless the zipper issues get resolved.

I am a big fan of this boot for their looks and comfort. I also ride in them, and appreciate their durability. This is my second pair and with my first, I think it's important to note that I never had problems with the zippers, per other reviews. I also actually prefer the side zips because they don't pressure the top of my foot as much as other paddock boots have done. I ride in these with half chaps and that's where they get tricky, due to their size. The half chap straps stretched to fit over the boot and the Velcro doesn't pull all of the way over at the bottom, but I prefer this chunky style of boots in the stirrup. I have been riding steadily in first pair for 5 years but have owned for ten. Slightly used first two years and put back to use after a 3-year hiatus. I'll be happily sporting this newest pair soon enough and keep the old ones in my car for any impromptu riding opportunities that occasionally occur. Highly recommend. Oh, and a little clean up and they look great for a night out too, depending on your outfit. :)

Four stars because the workmanship seems shotty. Glue showing where seems are but very comfortable boot so far.

I've had the boots for about a month and just love them! The zipper makes it much easier and faster for me to get ready for the barn and the sole is very comfortable and I don't feel the rocks!! Very nice boot.

Have had these boots right at a year. Took very good care of them and loved everything about them.Still look like new but the zipper teeth on one fell apart and then the zipper of course was useless after that. I have not been able to find anyone here where I live that can fix it. Very disappointed. After reading reviews it seems as though this is a common problem.

Love almost everything about this but I wish they were a little bit wider.

Love these easy to rush out in the morning work boots! They are comfortable, quick to put on, and waterproof.

They are ridiculously comfortable, and best of all they work at the ranch for walking around and with chaps in the saddle, and look equally good with a pair of jeans going to town. I got them for a riding trip in Ireland so I won't have to take multiple pairs of shoes. I did size down to a 7.5 from the 8 I usually wear sinceI the 8 was a bit too roomy. I can't vouch personally for the longevity of these boots, except my friend has worn hers daily for a year and they still look great.

Love these boots. True to size, not too heavy and easy to step right into. They look great and are very comfortable for wearing around the barn or going out to do errands. You just can't beat Ariat for making great wearing boots!

Super short break-in. All day comfort. The waterproofing is phenomenal!

I'm really happy with these boots. My toebox has widened after having children making it difficult to find boots that are comfortable for long-term wearing. These have been amazingly comfortable. I did order 0.5 size down as recommended by the manufacturer and they fit perfectly.

With my injured back shoes have helped me to start to walk. Appreciate the side zip.I plan to order a second pair.

Very comfortable. This is my second pair. Only problem is the zipper doesn't lock and falls down. Happened in the 1st pair too but I was hoping it was just that pair.

Excellent product . Great for stable work and doing paddocks. Also easy to put on and take off for quick dog walks etc..

I have a pair of the Barnyard Boot in the lace-up version from a number of years ago. This is one of my favorite pairs of Ariat boots along with the several pairs of Terrain that I own. These are my everyday boots. I have MS and need the extra support of a boot along with the firm footbed. Love your lace-up boots.

I like the idea of having a nice looking work boot. These are very nice boots but they should be a little higher around the ankle as the band where it is, is uncomfortable and they run about 1 size bigger than stated. I kept them because I wore the day after I received them and got them dirty. I have 3 pair of the ankle high paddock boots and absolutely love them, just wanted a brown boot so I deviated from my favorite.

Loved these boots, they were awesome for winter barn work and riding. Bought 1/2 size larger to accommodate extra socksand found them a littlelarge when things got warmer.Mybiggest disappointment was when the zipper broke a year after purchase, they were also getting sloppy by then. I wore them everyday in all weather conditions they were my go to boot. I would recommend these boots.

This is an update to a review left several weeks ago. In that review I commented that after just over a year of use, the zippers failed on the boots. Everything else about the boots was great. Ariat customer service reached out as a result of the review and they made it right, arranging and paying for the repair (including shipping). The boots came back today and they’re clean, the zippers have been replaced and I’m back to being a happy customer. Sometimes the best barometer of a company’s integrity is how they respond when things go sideways. Ariat gets an A++ from me. They stand behind their product. Thanks, Ariat!

I have a spinal cord injury. Proper footwear is extremely important in my ability to walk. These boots are perfect for my needs. They fit like a glove. Like they were personally made for my feet. Good solid sturdy sole with good flexibility. Lots of toe room and nice ankle support. I will definitely be ordering another pair! I normally wear between a 6.5 and a 7 depending on the boot. I ordered the 6.5 and they fit perfect.

I got these boots as a birthday present from a friend ( my old Ariat lacers have split at the ball of my foot-not complaining, I've had them11years!).Sofar, I love theseboots. I run a 16 stallhorsebarn, Itrainhorses, give riding lessons and clean stalls, all in these boots! They are holding up beautifully so far. My only complaint is that they are a little wide in the heel for my english spurs ( I just use my fiancee's when I need spurs now). Western spurs fit fine. If I have any problems, I will let you guys know, but right now, I'm very satisfied. I expect the zippers will wear out eventually, but a trip to the boot guy will fix that, I am rough on boots and I know that when you use the heck out of something, you can expect needed repairs from time to time. I have oiled them once and when needed, I will re water-proof them.

My second pair. I still wear the first pair but I really wore them out. I can wear these all day no matter if I'm working with the horses or riding them.
