I bought these for a couple of job interviews I had coming up, and man are they comfortable! They have a lovely slim leg and my range of motion was unparalleled, in and out of the saddle. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was the amount of sanding and fading that had been done, it was quite a bit more than the photo on the website. But that was a minor inconvenience I quickly forgot after I put them on. I'll be buying a few more pairs!

These are great quality and a great fit, excellent for riding because they stretch and have built-in seams at the hip flexion points. A touch big at the waist, but not enough to worry about. I like how the leg opening is big enough to go over boots comfortably, but not so large that they drag the ground.

I feel like they hold me in without being tight. I really like the straight leg. They fit nicely with my Ariat Delilah boots without having a wide opening like the bootcut jeans. Only reason four stars is because I'm 5'3" and 31" inseam for short is LONG, even when wearing high heel boots. Since this brand is known by equestrians and used for riding, most will wear them with low heel boots. Short should be 29".

I live in these jeans. They're flattering and fit my tall, straight build well. I'm 5'10" and the tall length is perfect on me. These jeans are durable and long-lasting. Highly recommend!

I bought a pair of these jeans when I was in Texas. I fell in love with them! They are so nice and comfortable. They move with you, you don’t need to worry about your bottom coming out of the jeans! Love that! The size is very true but they do have some stretch to them which makes them extremely comfortable. The length is great (I am 5’8 but there regular length fits great) I would recommend these jeans to anyone who is looking for a great pair of jeans that fit great across you bum and there not to long in the length. Love the pants but I did have to return them as they do run a little long. I am 5 4” 125 lbs and ordered 27 Regular and they were too long. Even with boots, they “bulked” up at the calf area and didnt look good. I am returning them and tried to order 27 Short, but they are sold out.

Everyone is on such a high rise kick us that want normal comfy pants are out of luck. Thankfully, Ariat always saves the day. These have held up pretty well and have a stretch to them but not too much to where it stretches the jeans out too much you’re constantly pulling them up. The color and design are spot on. Ariat always provides great quality jeans. 100% one of my favorite pairs of Ariats.

These were an emergency purchase when my Wrangler Shilo's blew out again after only one year. These jeans are great!!! Heavier material, flattering fit with room to put long johns under them. I like a looser fit since I'm always crawling over stuff at work and still prefer jeans while hiking and camping. Waist doesn't gap. I'm 6 feet tall with large hips and narrow waist. The 34L fits perfect and the legs fit over my bulky snow boots and riding boots.

Love these jeans. I have an athletic build and it's hard to find jeans that fit in the waist and through hips and thighs. These fit great in the waist and have just a little stretch to accommodate the butt and thighs. They also feel quite durable, like they will actually last for awhile. I have six pairs of Ariat jeans -- for me they are the best fitting jeans for a good price.

These jeans are my first Ariat, so I ordered a size up from my Silver jeans that are getting too tight. They came and are quite loose, even after washing and drying once. This pair has very big legs from the top to the bottom. I feel like they would be a good purchase for someone who has the problem of their pants legs being too tight, but on me they look kind of bad. I really wanted to love them, but I don't, so I will try another style and go back down a size.

These are really great jeans for the price. The material is nicer and thicker than G** jeans in a similar price range. At 41 degrees this morning, my legs were pretty comfortable...my other jeans are soft, but in the mornings it feels like I’m wearing thin paper. The closure, too, is sturdy. The button is a surprisingly substantial piece of hardware. I’m 5’5”, 115lbs, and my inseam (from top of inner thigh to bottom of foot) is 30”. I got size 25Short, and it’s a good fit for me. In tennis shoes I cuff them, but in flat-low boots they’re just right. They have a medium bit of stretch through the thigh, and the back is cut high, while the front is medium-low rise (about an inch below belly button, for me personally). It hasn't sagged much on me after a full day of wear. Suspect it has a lot to do with the jeans being 98% cotton (compared with 75% cotton 25% poly-spandex in other jeans I have, which sag a lot during wear). The pockets are well placed (again, for me personally). That plus the thicker material means my underwear line doesn’t crease through like my other jeans. The leg opening is probably comparable to G** and Ex***** “barely boot” and “baby boot” jeans. But then, I consider those styles to actually be straight legged. :) These are good jeans. Go get you a pair.

I'm 5'6 and 150 pounds. I ordered a 29 regular and fits perfectly. Love the relaxed fit and super easy to move in. I'm a denim girl and super picky about the fit as I have a round backside and am proud of it. I don't appreciate jeans that make my butt look flat or non-shapely. These are perfect and wash nicely too. I'm not a high-rise fan and these sit comfy on my hips while still giving me plenty of room.

Best fitting jeans stays at waist not tight on legs

I have several pair of these jeans, I wear them nearly every day for work and riding. I love their comfort and style.

I bought these a few weeks ago and I accidentally ordered the wrong size so they were too small. I plan to order another pair in my size. I did try to put them on and they looked super cute.

These jeans are very well-made and durable. They fit great over boots without the boots showing at the top! I probably should've gotten the short length, but it didn't give me the option at the time. On the back of the thighs you can notice a crease because the fabric is a little more loose there (I probably need a 25 instead of a 26). Other than that, I am very impressed with these jeans!

These are definitely not straight leg, they are closer to bootcut. In addition, the fabric loses it shape and become baggy in the worst way: unflattering! Definitely disappointed. I've been wearing Ariat jeans for 13 years and these are a huge disappointment. Definitely do not recommend.

Ariat jeans are always absurdly long in the leg. I always buy the short length ones, but this pair was longer than the other Ariat short versions I have. The worst thing is that the stitching at the zipper is sewn badly. I didnt realize until after I had already worn the jeans, otherwise I would have sent them back. It looks really bad, and I don't want to wear these jeans again. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement.

Why do the ocean sizing bigger than the marine. I have bought both of them in a size 29s and the ocean are bigger in the waist then the marine.

I love this jean! I am SO happy and relieved that I took a chance and ordered a pair. Here's my jeans challenge: I'm long and very lean ~ 5 foot 9, with my height concentrated in my legs: 34-inch inseam. And while I'm all woman, I'm not a curvy girl. My measurements: 34-30-36. Because of this, I decided to ignore the Ariat order form's instructions to order jeans based on WAIST size. Instead, I focused on my hips, because I know from years of past frustration that if a particular jean fits my waist, that jean will flap around my narrow hips and teensy butt like a flag on a pole. Indeed, the Ariat sizing chart shows that a garment designed to fit a 30-inch waist (like mine) will be cut to fit 40-inch hips (NOT mine). Instead, I ordered this gorgeous mid-rise jean in Size 26, because the Ariat sizing chart shows that a jean designed for a 26-inch waist will be cut to fit 36-inch hips. The size of MY hips. I felt fairly confident that my waist size wouldn't matter with a mid-rise jean. And I was correct! This gorgeous jean sits well below my waist ~ as a mid-rise should ~ so I have no trouble buttoning and zipping it up. Meanwhile, it fits my narrow hips and itty-bitty butt like a glove. As for the 34-inch inseam I ordered: Perfect, with plenty of fabric to create that cool "stackable" look. Now please excuse me. Gotta end this review so I can order another pair of these jeans.

I bought these jeans, mostly because in the description they are described as low rise. However, in the title they are called Mid Rise. This is the second pair like this except that the first pair did not have the Mid Rise in the title. Ariat has excellent jeans but I think they need to be a little bit more aware of the contradictions between title and description.

This Jean has never ripped on me and is great to wear while riding!i usually use this item while riding my horses or cleaning the barn.they are super easy to put layers under,they are also super comfortable and great to wear out for events as well!

Bought a 25 short. Shouldn’t have listened to other reviewers about the length. I get a long in other jean brands but the regular in this style was more around the same length as my current jeans. I was so worried about how many reviews I’ve seen on this site about the length but just get your normal inseam. The straight style was recommended to me after I contacted Ariat. I mentioned that I had issues with jeans being baggy in the knees and the leg opening of bootcut jeans being too wide. The leg opening is a much better size than the bootcut style in Ariat jeans, but these were so baggy in the knee. The style looked terrible on me, so I’m definitely going with a different brand. The look and stitching is great just a terrible fit. Wish you had more of a slim bootcut that was actually fitted in the knee.

Love the fit and the straight leg--it fits over a cowboy boot top just fine. These jeans make the rear view appealing and they look nice with paddock boots as well. The weight of the denim is just right--not too thick and not too light. I gave up my formerly-favorite Levis for these jeans and I'm totally happy with them!

I have these jeans in every color they offer because I love them; perfect fit for a gal with any type of figure, comfortable and durable. I am 5'3, 140 lbs and wear a size 26 regular, which is long enough for me that when I'm riding it doesnt look like I'm wearing jeans that are too short for me. My 1 critique is the colors on the website are way off for a couple color options (this one being one of them). If you are looking for a specific wash just be aware that these are considerably darker than they appear.

These jeans fit great. I wish they were more straight leg like Ariats used to be. The straight leg has become much more like boot cut. It's almost impossible to find a true straight leg in the extra long, which is the only thing that comes close to being long enough for me.

My favorite - "go to" for riding and work at the barn.

I was so happy these arrived yesterday they are super cute. However the pocket stud broke off during pre-wash in the gentle cycle. Very disappointing. Hopefully the return process goes better than the product quality.

I bought these in a regular length due to mixed reviews. I’m 5’3” or so and rolled the cuffs twice they were so long. Also leg width was more like a boot cut. I loved they were so stretchy like most jeans are now. For an apple shape like myself they were actually comfy in the waist, but unfortunately I didn’t like the width or I would have exchanged for a shorter length. Plan to return

It’s hard to find jeans that don’t gap in back. These fit perfect and the inside of the waistband is such a nice soft material. I look at my other brand jeans and the waistbands look cheap and unfinished now.

I think I have 4 or 5 pairs now cuz you never know when they will be discontinued ; story of my life. Could be a tad higher in the waist but the thighs fit great and great fabric weight. I really like them. Fit over boots without being too big. I prefer a straight looking jean that fits over a boot. Please keep making them !

Solid pair of jeans! They are a bit baggy, I got a 28 short (I'm 5'1 135lbs) and probably should have gotten a 26 or 27. But other than that I'm in love with these jeans and can't wait for my next pair!!

I bought one pair of these jeans. After wearing them for a couple of weeks, I have ordered two more. I'm going to toss some of my old jeans when I get the new ones. They aren't high waisted 'Mom' jeans. But they also aren't so low that I worry about my backside showing. Quality jeans. I'm wearing the same size I wear in Miss Me or Rock Revival jeans. I also bought a pair that was boot cut, but like these straights better.

I'm already an owner of ariat real bootcuts that I love, but also wanted some with a staighter leg so gave these a try. Differences: Thinner material which I'm not thrilled about Slightly roomier thigh, which I love! I bought the 28L and like a jean that's not skin tight. My natural waist is 26, hips 38 & thighs 22.5 I know I could also fit into a 27 easily but these would be fitted and not my taste. Ariats do not stretch even after hiking 3 days in the same pair!!!!!

I’ve tried so many brands of jeans to fit my size 4 but they were either too low-rise or they were skin tight. These size 28R jeans fit perfectly with enough tightness to form to my shape but also with a somewhat relaxed feel at the same time. I bought 3 pair and plan on getting more. Love them!

Great Fit & they really last & don't wear out fast

I ran across these at Cabela's and I tried them on. I love these jeans! I wear the size 25R and are a perfect fit. They fit great over my Ariat boots too. I hate most boot cut jeans when I ride but these don't give me any problems with riding up! The only drawback is I wish Ariat would make more of the straight leg jeans in other denim colors. I can only seem to find the ocean color.
