This is my second pair, the first pair are for work around the ranch, this second pair is more for going to town, with the shiny finish. Wore them to teach a class, no breaking in period, so so comfortable, and stylish to boot (no pun intended). Very well made and comfortable. I love both of my pairs of boots.

I have been wearing fatbaby boots for many years different colors and materials and they've always been consistent with sizing and fit but these are strange. I used to order medium width (B) but I've been ordering wide (C) lately because I love the extra room and comfort and I do have wide feet and calves but these I ordered in 7.5C and the shaft is very snug, like I can only get one finger down in them when my foot is inside as opposed to normal where I can get my whole hand down inside, like to pull up my socks. They definitely are not wide, although the footbed seems right I definitely wouldn't be able to tuck pants into them. So I'm returning them and I reordered them hoping it was just a fluke. Please let it be mislabeled or something because I love the color and style! Purple is my favorite color so these are just perfect for me. I'm giving them 2 stars because they're gorgeous but the strange fit is disappointing!

I have clear a metal detector and I love that they don't have a metal shank, and I don't need to remove my boots. The only thing with my specific pair it make a noise on my right foot. Almost feels like something isn't stuck right between the boot and the sole. But My other pair are just fine! Love them!

Never met a Fatbaby that i wouldnt wear. Comfort, tough, accomodates my high instep. Bought the black ones for dress boots, put them on when they arrived and like magic, got the usual call "come help me for just a minute". Two hours later, cleaned the dirt off and they are back to being dress boots!!

I got my first pair in 2012 and absolutely love these boots for comfort and support! You can walk in them all day and still be comfortable.I haveusedthemfor riding, work,andcasual. I prefer my riding bootsto bea little more snug then the Fatbabies(I have a different pair of Ariats for most of my riding), but I would definitely highly recommend these boots!

After a got in a serious car accident I ended up in a rushing river drowning swimming for my life. Climbing through rugged terrain for hours in the pitch dark night. I know that the only reason I survived it all is because I was wearing these boots. The only part of my body that wasn't ripped to shreds and covered in thorns and cuts were my feet that were protected by these boots. I couldn't be more thankful. They are scratched up bad now but they are still solid. I can wear them to do yard work but I'm saving up to buy a new fresh pair to wear for work. Just wanted to say thank you Ariat for making boots that save lives. If I was wearing any other shoes I don't think I would be alive today.

I'd never had western style boots, but had been eyeing them for a long time. My husband gave me these for Christmas last year. At first they felt a bit tight (I wear either a 7.5 or 8 and he bought 7.5). Within a few days of wearing they had conformed to my feet. I now wear these basically everywhere outside of work. I've worn them traveling, walked miles around New Orleans and more. They are SO comfortable. I don't like the color pink, but the pink is subdued enough (I have the brown ones) that it isn't horrible. I would LOVE it if they had some with orange stitching instead! The only bad thing about these is that I can't get the exact same pair in steel toe (which is a requirement for me at work). The boot truck came to work and I bought a competitor's steel toe boot and it's quite uncomfortable. I will be going back and looking at the Ariat offerings again to see what they have in steel toe that is short like this boot and is attractive (dark brown with orange stitching would be ideal!).

I purchased these boots because they were said to be deertan. When I hear that I think soft supple leather. These boots are not deerskin, they are cowskin, and they are not as soft and supple as I expected. I am not saying they aren't comfortable-- they are, but they are no different than the Fatbaby black boots. The difference is in the colors of embroidery on the shank and in the lining. Don't pay more for "deertan" unless you like the pink lining and the pink and purple embroidery better than blue.

I'm not even a "cowboy boot person" (all my other boots are Doc Martens), but these are so cute and comfortable that Iactually own two pairs now!Theyarefairly water repellent, warm and shock absorbent...perfect for walking around the city. While dressy enough for work, I know they would make excellent (and fashionable) work boots as well! I'm a believer!

Works great for a summer riding boot, not too hot to wear. Didn’t realize when I ordered that the boot shaft is a fake suede. It is wearing off already after about 6 rides so don’t hold out much hope for longevity.

These are the only boots I will ever wear. We ride motorcycles and when we get off I do not need to change shoes. I have an old pair I got them dirty from paint, oil and scuffed up but I do not care. I wear them because I love them. I would recommend them a 10000 times. I will keep buying them and hiding them from my husband.

I loved this product. I used it at work and I work retail so I constantly was walking around on concrete floors and these kept me comfortable all day. I walk to work and I wore these in winter. They kept the water out and kept my feet warm. I absolutely LOVE these boots. They took a few days, maybe a week to break in however after I wore them for a winter, I put them on the next year and they caused blisters. That might have been my fault however I was extremely sad that I could not wear them. Besides that, these are amazing boots and I suggest them to customers as often as I can.

The perfect all-around boot! I wear these in the barn and when I run errands. They fit true to size (all of my Ariat boots do!) and are durable,and have broken inbeautifully.I recommend these to anyone who wants acomfy, functional shoe!

I bought these to match a show pad I got for Christmas and am extremely disappointed. The color on the website appears black with some pink stitching and maybe some white or light pink stitching. Once they arrived the stitching is actually purple with some teal and a little pink. The sole is also some kind of composite and it seems like it will be a little slick in the stirrup with minimal treads, I bought them to show in. I love Ariat and am sad to say these don't hit the mark for me.

These are to tight around my feet and then loose around my leg, crazy loose. I have a narrow feet and it pinched the crap out of my feet, I’ve never experienced that with a boot. The build of them is really nice, the quality was great, but the fit was really disappointing to me. I wanted these to work very badly. I don’t think I would recommend these. I purchased a 7.5

Scary to order boots online, but after reading other reviews, I thought I'd try it. I am so glad I did. My Fatbaby's fit perfectly and I have really wide feet and after some foot surgeries I have one big toe that sticks up just a bit so I am hard to fit. These work perfectly! Plenty of room, and I did order my usual size. Plus, these are beautiful!!

I like that they are shorter than the standard boot and have a square toes with a low heel which make them practical and easy to wear all day. After saving up the $ and deciding which boot to get, I decided that this boot would be the way to go. Boy was I right! They're perfect for riding, standing for long hours, working around the barn, and I can still go in town with them. Gotten many compliments. Reinforced toe saved my toesies from a horse multiple times, soft leather on the side. No need to break them in at all. Very easy to wash off with a hose. Only issue is that they have pink on the boot, but I have lived! :) Now looking at another for more just riding and a taller shaft!

Love these boots. I've never been able to find boots that fit with thicker calves. These are so comfortable and the soles look so durable. I went up a size bigger and all I need to do is slide into boot, no pulling at all. I figured when colder I can wear thicker socks so wanted the room. I feel there will be another pair in my future.

Finally! A pair of boots that I can get my feet into. Most cowboy boots narrow at the ankle. This makes it nearly impossible to get my wide foot into them. It's beyond frustrating. These boots are so darn cute looking (I think) but they are SO uncomfortable. I have tried different thickness of socks, no socks, different insoles and nothing helps the discomfort. The boot has no flexibility, after an hour in these boots the feet ache, intensely at the ball of the foot. Cute but so uncomfortable!

I have worn Fatbabies for probably 20 years because the crepe sole had great cushion for my feet. Not this style! I tried breaking them in by wearing for a couple of hours a day, but finally had to give up after burning pain to the bottom of my feet!

Perfection is all I am think of when it comes to these boots. Hands down the comfiest pair of anything I own in the foot department. They got broken in within a few days of all day wear. I love everything about them and I have bigger feet and bigger legs. I’ve never had a comfy pair of boots and these babies definitely did do the trick. Plenty of room for the toes too which I love. I did buy an additional pair of Fatbaby boots (a different variation) and they are just as great as these. Love ‘em!

I have a really hard time finding boots that fit. #1 I have wide feet. #2 my feet and ankles swell. #3 my calves are 19 inches around. Well, these boots covered all the problems wonderfully! This is my second pair of this particular boot. I have 6 pair now in different colors and styles. They are all instantly comfortable and look great. They also last forever with a little care. If you’re down at the barn anyway, why not throw on a little leather conditioner. Some styles CAN be used for riding, some are for dancing. I love them.

I purchased the Fatbaby II boots shown for my friend for Christmas, and she wears them every time we go out riding, andloves them. I have 2pairsof myown-BlackLegend,whichI wear at the barnAND cleanup to wear when I go out, and a pair that I just don't know the style name, but they are AMAZING. They are saddle colored suede at the bottom, snip toe, and have a cranberry patent leather tooled upper. I'd sleep in them if my husband would let me. The comfort and quality can't be matched. And I get random strangers stopping me to compliment them every time I wear them. But I must admit, they have only made one appearance at the barn. I don't want to mess them up!

I ordered these boots to look 'cute' at a Jake Owen concert. When they arrived today and I slipped them on, I was instantly IN LOVE! They are softand oh socomfortable! I have had my pair of boots 2 and half yrs and i finally wore them down! they have been through the worse situations from knee high snow toweeks of fair andmine are everyday use (meaning these are my only pairof footwear) they have been by far my most comfortable pair of shoes i have owned! I would recommend these to anyone! Also i am so glad i went w this brand of boots first (after seeing my sister buy other top brand names and them only lasting alil over yr made me do my research which lead me the ariat boots) i was not a boot lover til i tried them on and wont go w any other brand

In Sept 2011 I bought a pair of black Fatbabies, and immediately made them my go-to footwear. (The leather had a very shiny finish, and wasverystiff,it looks like the basic black are a matte finish now). For acouple of years I mostly wore them for work and parties And dressing up. Love'em with dresses. They looked like new for a 6-7 years. Then I started wearing them a lot, for fun, for work, for airplane travel (hello slip off)--and they still looked great. Just this month, 11 years later, I realized they are finally beat and need replacing. They are still my most supportive comfortable footwear working a s a photographer, and I still get compliments wherever I go. The leather has cracked on the uppers, but they are my signature look. . I am kind of sorry to have to replace them with the matte finish black but the time has come. There is no question that I'll buy another pair.

The color in the photo doesn't show how vibrant the teal and purple stitching is. So they are beautiful as well as functional. I use them on the motorcycle mostly and do a lot of walking in them. They are more comfortable than my sneakers. A lot of boots cause blisters because I have wide feet. The B size for them fit like a glove and I didn't have any hotspots with them. A definite must have if you want beauty without being too feminine.

I just received my boots today. Tried them on. Perfect fit! Ordered the same size as my sneakers. Never had a pair of Ariat boots before. Way back in the 90s I had a pair of cowboy boots that had pointy toes. So glad these don't have that! Love the soles. Not hard like my old ones. Easier to walk around in. Very comfortable. I was a little worried because I have edema in my right foot. Getting them on and off is surprisingly easy. Actually, taking them off is a lot easier than putting them on. These are a simple style. I bought mine at a different store. Since I found this site I will definitely be ordering a pair of the original Fatbaby boots.

I have four pairs of these boots. I bought 3 pairs about 15 years ago. I have worn them to parties, in my barn, in the snow, in mud, I’ve danced in them and tried in vain to keep them from being chewed up by several puppies. All three pairs are light brown with pink, teal, and light brown sueded side panels- meaning that I’ve dressed up and down in them. I’ve been so pleased with the quality, fit and comfort of these boots (which practically look brand new, but with a warm patina) that lately when I got a craving for a black pair—I was so excited to be able to find them, get them the same size and slip into them!! They fit as perfectly as my three original pairs and I could not be more thrilled!!! I need a red pair!!

While searching for a new pair of cowboy boots online, I came across these Ariat Fatbabies. I am somewhat of a "cowboy boot connoisseur" and also really hate to spend my hard-earned money, so I immediately looked over the product description with eagle eyes and thought about purchasing them long and hard. I finally caved. I'd never bought a pair of Ariats before but I'd heard good things about them. So I waited, and waited, and waited for them to come... Finally. A shoe box-sized package on my doorstep. Eagerly I tore through layers of cardboard and out came the magnificent Fatbaby. No, really. I've had Roper brand boots (which were lovely, by the way, before they resorted to making nothing but man made stuff) and also Justin boots, but the leather quality on these Fatbabies is SUPERB. It's soft, pliable, and oh so gorgeous. I took in the sight of its shiny blackness before trying them on. Wow. I can walk in these babies all day. They felt almost broke-in right from the start. Also keep in mind that I'm cursed with hereditary foot pain, which means that after standing for oh, about an hour, I'm done. Somebody give me a drink and let me crash my butt into the nearest convenient spot. Not the case with these boots - they really are comfortable! Not to mention the compliments I've gotten on the sharp and smart contrast of black leather and pink/purple/blue stitching (not sure if Ariat still offers these in the multi-colored stitching). Would definitely recommend! Of course, like the true connoisseur, I have to come up with a complaint. Oh here's one... I have size 9.5 feet, and the round toe makes my feet look bigger and bulkier than they really are. I definitely favor square toe boots. But who cares. These babies are dressy. They fit true to size. The quality is evident. What's not to love? Great job with these boots, Ariat.

I have only had them for a week now and I do really enjoy them. The first day I wore them at work around the office to"break them in". Thatsame nightwenton a walk withmyhusband and my feet felt great and were not even a bit sore. Never had that feeling with brand new shoes. I bought the black boots and they look great with my work dress pants.

Love the look. Fat baby's are my favorite. Wish Ariat had more styles in wide. But glad I found a style that fit. Had to return first pair (not wide). The returned pair were a different style. So wasn't sure I would like these ones as well. But the pictures didn't do them any justice. Colors in the stitching is much prettier than what pictures show.

The shipping took much longer than expected, but I was surprised how wide the boots ended up being. I ordered a women’s 8 Wide and probably could have gotten away with a half size smaller. I get so many compliments on them!

I love these boots. This is the first pair of non-lace boots that I have ever bought. I have owned Ariat lace up boots in the past, and have never had a problem with them. They are very light and there is no "brake in" period. They are comfy right out of the box!

I bought this boot about a month ago, went by the size of my Fatboy boots and these were too small. No problem though! I returned the boots and reordered a half size larger. they fit good and I wear them to work on a regular basis. The Fatbaby is not quite as tall in the arch area but still fits good.

These boots are really nice. I have a narrow foot and need an insole to fill the gap but they are also comfortable without and a heavier sock. The heel does slip but with wear it is getting better. They were delivered so fast to my house.

I bought these boots for general and sometimes dirty work around my rural home and acreage. Got tired of cleaning weed seeds and dirt from shoe laces. I was pleasantly surprised that my 89 year old arthritic toes experienced total comfort beginning the first day I wore them! May want to buy another pair of your fatbaby style boot.

I bought these for my daughter and they are very nice. Personally I prefer the darker color boots. They are a bit chunky at the top of thefoot but don'tget me wrong...they are nice! She doesn't complainabout feet hurting and says they are also more comfy than her sneakers so she kicks them on for school and riding. Bought us all 3 pairs in one month...we Love Ariat!

Wide calves, true to size, slides on easily and feels broken in almost immediately. The only negative is that the heels are a bit loose. This is a roomy boot, so if you like one more fitted and less "sloppy", try Justins.

First off, I am not a cowgirl but am really active in other ways. I've been having foot pain issues for a while and, after a bit of research, I decided a good, supportive boot might help. When I first received the black Ariat Fatbaby boots I had to send them back for a full size larger. The return was easy enough but not free. When my right size landed on my doorstep, I was in heaven! The rounded toe is amazing- I can wear these Fatbabys in comfort all day and all night! And they are so cute with jeans, they are like wearable art. Now I'm drooling over other colors/designs. The quality is just outstanding. Thank you Sheplers and Ariat Boot Company. **If this is your first time ordering boots, remember you'll need room to accommodate "plushier" socks that are also longer than normal (e.g. snowboarding socks). Please don't hurt your feet with boots too small.

I have always wanted a pair since I was a young child. At almost 41 I am amazed how comfortable these boots actually are . I walked around 5 hours doing an smurfs scavenger hunt and I had the best experience of the day . I highly recommend these fatbaby ll to everyone who desires to be apart of the boot trend or club lol . I will definitely be looking for other boots in my size . 8.5 wide isn’t offered in every color or I would have several pairs to match my clothes mood and Dailey adventures. If y’all wanted me to be a boot model spokeswoman I definitely would!

Love these boots, use them for everyday riding and sometimes for showing. My spurs fit perfect on the heel, which isn't easy to find. I like the way they grip the stirrup too. My other pair of Fat Baby boots are 4yrs old and still going strong!

These run big. The fit is way too loose and too big. The tread isnt as aggressive as the orignals either.

Ma ma got me these for Christmas except in the Brown/Rose. I love them! I wasn't sure if I would like the feel of Fatbaby's since I have only worntaller boots butthey areverycomfortable! The colors are beautiful as well!

I love my Ariat Fat baby boots! They are super cute and COMFORTABLE. I would recommend Ariat boots to everyone. Especially those who have never owned cowboy boots before because they are surprisingly comfortable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I bought a pair because I had injured my toe and nothing I owned was comfortable. I tried these on and didn’t want to take them off even to pay. I just took the box with my old shoes in it up to pay. I wore than for a couple days and got so many compliments that I quickly ordered a second pair in a different color

I've owned these for few years and the boots are still in excellent shape all around except for the pink lining which is peeling, flaking and making a general mess every time I remove my boot. I have another pair of Fatbabys that also have a colored lining and it is sealed and flat like the day I bought them. Maybe I just got a defective pair? These boots are the most comfortable shoes I own but I only wear them around the house and for outside work now because of the mess.
