This coat has a great feel to it. Definitely heavier/ warmer than I thought it was going to be but I actually like that. What I don’t like is that the product photo doesn’t accurately display the true color. It’s more of a military/ olive Green than the photo shows on my screen, which appears to be more of a brownish olive tone. I do love the color, but I knocking a star off because when making product photos, the goal should always be to accurately display the color. I’ve paired the jacket with the new Dark Earth Sadie Boot to show the color difference. Secondly, the sleeves a touch short for me. I can live with this, but it’s usually not an issue for me with coat and the hood is very small. Again, not a big issue. I rarely use hoods. Measurement/ sizing, I wear a small in unisex t-shirt and bought a small in this. The shoulders are perfect fit, though I would say would be snug if I were to wear a thick sweater underneath while the body is very roomy. Not sure if it’s worth it’s price tag, but I waited 6 weeks for this coat so I think I’m going to keep it and enjoy it, nonetheless.

While I was surprised that this coat was army green, when the ads clearly showed it as a brown coat, I nonetheless love this coat. I appreciate the inner waist cinch and the size of the hood is perfect, not too big or small. The plaid lining is gorgeous. I wore the coat yesterday in 35 degree heavy rain and wind. I stayed warm and dry. The only downside is that the arms are tight fitting. I wear a size XS or size 4, and so my arms aren’t that big. I’m hoping the cotton material on the arms will stretch with use. In the meantime, I can only fit a single thin layer shirt inside the coat’s sleeves. The body of the coat is true to size.

Very nice quality, but it ran large on me and was a little long and bulky. I'm 5'8" and 140 pounds, and was wanting something a little more fitted. This jacket would be great for colder/wetter, as it really covers you and could be worn with thicker sweaters. Just not what I was looking for.

Two things I would say to other shoppers: it's not quite as warm as the description suggests, and is it something that I can ride in. The lower half of the coat isn't really comfortable to close all the way, and with the zipper open as I keep it, I sit in the saddle just fine with it on.

Love, love, love this jacket! Warm, but breathable. Long enough to keep my butt and legs warm. But, not too long as to get in the way. Hood is very nice. The material on this jacket is sleek, but not cheap. Love the lining too! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is very stylish with a lovely quilted lining and I'm thinking it will be quite warm! I wish it had more technical designs. (As if your best patagonia or north face jacket was made for riding in!). Technical designs I would have preferred: Larger hood for real coverage in the rain, additional lined pockets just below the breast for easy access, rear vented opening for riding, inside pockets for smaller valuable items. For the price, this jacket should of had these features.

The jacket keeps me warm and is very comfortable to wear. I like the deep pockets, hood and coverage of the jacket. I like the fact that Ariat uses organic cotton and Primaloft insulation and Earth friendly Eco Dry water repellent. Well made jacket. Worth the price.

I've gotten so many compliments on this jacket! It's lovely and warm too! I like the longer style for winter and it has great pockets. It's been a great winter coat for all the types of weather that comes with it. If you are looking for a beautiful yet utilitarian jacket, this is the one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jacket itself is great, lightweight and love all the pockets and functionality of it. However, it runs very small in the arms. I am 5’1” and wear a size 4 generally in clothing but I am athletic and work out so I do have slightly muscular arms and when I tried it on with a sweater I could barely move my arms in the size medium. Highly disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a beautiful, well-made parka. Pockets in the right places, double ended zipper, warm lining printed with dogs which are adorable. The sleeves however are very tight as mentioned in other reviews so it’s unfortunately being returned. If you have slender arms it may not be an issue.
