I love this boot. I have been looking for a brown lace up boot good quality and this boot is well-made it is also very comfortable. I am a size 9 I went ahead and purchase the wide and the boot actually is very roomy for my foot. My foot is only slightly wide half the times shoes fit me without going to the wide side but when dealing with boots I wanted to make absolutely sure I didn’t have to return the shoe so I went with the wide and it fits very comfortable if I wanted to put really thick socks on I could and it would still be roomy enough. I wore size 9 in Nike women’s running shoes, Timberland boots, vans.

I typically wear a size 10 in women's shoes but tried these on in the store and the 9.5 fit me better. They were initially tight around my mid-foot but broke in after two wears and now they fit me perfectly. I love how they look with both boot cut and skinny jeans. With feet my size, certain boots/shoes can look clownish but these are dainty and low profile. They were super solid for riding. The laces untie easily but that can be fixed by double knotting or replacing the laces with something less waxy. Thinking of buying another pair in black (I got the distressed brown).

Great riding boot, the sole is perfect for in the stirrup and if you need to get off your horse and hike awhile. Fit is true to size.

I have a real problem with shoes but these boot are wonderful. I put them on and wore them for a whole day without one problem.

I bought these about a month ago, and I'm stoked that I did. I ride/teach both western and english, so I was looking for a boot that I could wear half chaps, and/or a western spur with so that I didn't have to switch shoes throughout my day. These are perfect for that, they are also great for barn chores, and standing all day. That being said, the break in period was pretty gnarly, I would for sure recommend gel ankle protecters until the ankle area wears in. They run true to size, a bit more narrow than the ropers or fat babys, so if you have a wide foot you may want to go half a size up. Although, I didn't, and its molding to my foot nicely, so just depends if you want a roomier fit or not.

LOVE THEM, I HAVE A JOB WHERE I AM ON MY FEET FOR UP TO 6 HOURS, HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THEM AT ALL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

I purchased these for a dress boot. Never had Ariat before and boy am I impressed! These are super comfortable! I oiled them before I wore them and the leather is softening nicely. I hope to have these for a LONG time. Take a chance on these. Yes, I recommend them

Was not really wide width I suffer with wide feet so when I see wide in something I get excited, but this was not the case

I have worn the Ariat Heritage II boots for an entire day..riding and working around the barn and my feet were not sore

I’ve had my pair for years, they are comfortable enough to wear all day and work in and hold up extremely well. Little maintenance is needed, save for caring and conditioning the leather. So far the laces are in the worst shape, but that’s to be expected. If you don’t like pull on boots, or want a boot you can lace to your foot but still have a “wetsern” feel these work great. As with any boot, try it on in person and be mindful of how comfortable it is on you, especially if you’re wearing them for long periods of time.

I have been purchasing the Ariat Heritage Lacer for the last 30 some odd years. At one time it was actually discontinued and I had to waitforitsreturn.Now I have hadtopurchase on line for the first time and was slightly disappointed with the quality. Seems it is not as good as it used to be. I wear these boots every day! At work, on the Harley, in the garden, at the racetrack, in all activities, these boots have been with me. But when I purchased the last pair online, the quality seems to have degraded. The leather is hard and hurt my feet the first full day I wore them. And I had to pay an additional $20.00 from what I paid for my last pair. Not as happy with them as I had hoped.

Love these boots so much this is my second pair. They are so comfortable I wear them all the time. I bought these as a dress version and the original pair are daily wear - including working on the farm.

Bought a pair in 7 1/2 b/c that is my normal size. They run big. But I kept them, and wore them all winter, with fatsocks and the toe warmers.Theyaremywinter pair.Ijust bought a pair of7's and will wear them to work today. They wear like iron, I will have them for years, b/c I've bought these boots before, years ago, for hunt testing and retriever training. Not good for hillsides, and such, but wear them all the time. Great riding boot.

Have had these for 1.5 years. They are more comfortable than some of my athletic shoes. Perfect heel height and cushioning support - great for aging cowgirls with aching backs. True to fit as well. The gore at the top makes it easy to walk fast without creating hotspots on the leg. If Ariat would make more of their styles available in a Wide (C) with this heel height I would have a closet full.

I hope Ariat NEVER stops making these boots. These boots help my back so much and the only boot that I have found that I am able to put my Dr. prescribed lifts in and still get the boot on. I also have a very high arch and the are great to support it. I have worn the Women's Heritage II Lacer boot for over 30 years, in fact this is the only shoe I can wear for more than an hour and the size ALWAYS runs true to size and fit, no breaking them to become comfortable. GREAT job Ariat

Got these for walking around in Italy and love them. They fit great and were so comfortable. One of go-to everyday pairs of boots now. Definitely a must to break these shoes in before wearing them to do anything vigorous. I did the regular toe, but am now curious if I would’ve liked the wide toe better. I’ve got fairly small feet (6-7 women’s US), and my toes and around the edge of the balls of my feet do feel squeezed fairly regularly. I thought the regular toe as I’ve never needed wide toe before, so something to think about before purchasing.

I had owned Ariat lacer many years ago and had replaced with another product. Very happy to have a pair again. I usually wear a 6.5/7 shoe, ordered a6.5becauseof runninglarge comments... correct.Haveto wonderif I had been in a store to try on if the 6 would not have been fine but this will work for both summer and winter.

I purchased the brown in 5.5. The good: the leather can take a beating, the removeable kiltie is nifty, the fit is snug and supportive and my feet and knees never hurt no matter how many hours I spent on concrete floors. The bad: the heels wear down fast--within a year, they are made in China, the laces do not hold up well so be ready with backups. The ugly: the tongues slipped sideways on me _always_. Likely poor workmanship. Yes, I probably ought to have returned them, but I needed something to wear at my jobs (big box hardware store, library, and dog-walking). I tried relacing, repositioning the tongue countless times. It was infuriating at times, other times just disheartening. I was glad when the heels finally got so worn that the shoes were too unstable to wear safely. The indifferent: I don't need my boots to be pre-distressed. I distress them with wear and work, thank you.

I've wanted a pair of these lace up Ariat boots for a long time, finally treated myself. Out of the box comfortable! I've gotten a lot of compliments on how good looking they are, too. Buy them, they're incredibly well made..great boots!

I ordered these boots after my trusty old Ariat lacers wore out. I was disappointed in that the foot bed is not as cushy as my previous boots and the almond shaped toe did not fit my foot. I returned the boots and ordered a different style suggested by Sheplers and am waiting for those to arrive. Sheplers did provide good customer service for me.

I got these boots about a year ago and the only damage they have are marks where my puppy chewed on them. In the summer I am at the barn everyday and so my boots go through a lot. I am super happy with my ariat boots

I bought these boots last week and they feel great. I have narrow feet so the lacers allow be snug up the boot but its still a tab bit lose. Wish they would make them in narrows and I too would have a closet full of Ariats.

I bought my first pair of these boots in 1999 in Montana, and am still wearing them. They are my best friends boots and have been worn hard and are still in pretty good shape. I just bought a new pair and love them. The leather in the new pair does not seem quite as supple but I think they will break in nicely.

Better quality and more comfort than any fashion boot on the market for much less money. I looked at the fashion knockoffs but they just seemed cheapandwere twice as much. These are the real deal.I boughtthemto wear to NYC with skinny jeans and trousers but, will wear them for utility too. Only issue is that I am still waiting for Ariat to come out with a 10.5 in their boots. I have several pairs and the 10's I have to wear with thin socks and 11's I have to put an insole under the footbed to make up the extra 1/2 size. These do run big. The toe is designed extra long also for easy stirrup pick up so they don't do you any favors making your feet look any smaller. Still a very cool boot.

These boots look very nice, and fit well. I decided to return them because the sole is so narrow. I am concerned that after some time wearing them my feet will be rolling over the edges of the sole. I even tried ordering a second pair in wide hoping that would be better. Those have a narrow sole too. They made me think of high heels, pretty and comfortable at first. I need a pair of boots to work in on our farm. These absolutely have the look i want, but i didn't want to risk my money on a narrow sole

Just purchased my sixth pair of Heritage Lacers. Obviously I love them. Can adjust tightness (with laces) as my feet swell or not, according to weather, etc. Great for riding, pretty enough for town. Fit in stirrup well. Easy on/off.

I've have many pairs of these and a great long wearing comfortable. I have bad ankles and these help so much being able to lace and support my ankles. They wear forever and i"m hard on boots. I order wide width.. Its hard to find wide width riding boots. I bought a black saddle so I had to have Black boots to match. I usually ordered the brown. Why has the black Heritage been discontinued? I have been wearing these boots since the nineties, replacing appx every 3-4 years. The old ones go to the barn once "retired" as "dress boots". I also have them in brown, but really miss and need a black replacement. the Paddock boot just doesn't have the look I love.

I bought a similar style back in 1997 to go on a week long horse back ride up in the White Mountains. Absolutely wonderful boot. Have worntheminthewinters forthe next14 years, had new heelsput ononce. Thoughthe toes are a little scuffed up, the uppers never gave in. Sadly, my foot, I guess because of age, has gotten bigger, and I have to let them go. I hope a new pair will hold up as long and be as comfortable. But you won't be disappointed.

I bought these boots to wear riding and sometimes in muddy arena. They look cute on and very comfortable. The quality is also very good.

I don't/wont wear any boots but these. They're awesome! I've never had to go through the "break-in" process with them. They're just plain comfortable.... like wearing an old pair of sneakers. I wear them for riding and work on the farm. They take a beating. I would recommend greasing them if you're gonna be out in lots of weather & mud... they last much longer. I didn't grease my current pair and they turned grey from so much water, mud, manure and sun.... but came back good as new once I greased them. Still a solid pair of boots. I also keep a pair just for "dress".

I was so excited to find brown boots in a wide. Very disappointed as the wide was very narrow. I really wish then they would make the round toe in brown as those fit like a wide and they are not.

I’ve gotten 4-ish years of hard use out of these boots. I’m in the industry so that means on my feet doing chores, taking care of horses, or riding for 10-12 hrs a day in all weather. They’ve been my “all day, everyday” boot for the past couple years & it’s sad that they’re finally dying. Cracking leather & stitching coming apart. I think I could’ve gotten another year or two out of them, but I tried a new boot cleaner (that chemically burned a hole in the rag I was using) and I think it made the boots age faster. I’ve done western, jumping, dressage, natural horsemanship, & even my first 100m endurance race in these boots. They’re been good to me & no complaints other than wanting to have them longer. Used to get comments on how handsome the boots were when I first got them too!

My daughter has had quite afew paddock boots, and none are as comfortable or as tough as this boot. We pulled out the box from her last pairtobesureto buythe same bootagain. We love them.

I am female, and have a wide foot. I cannot wear the ladies cap toe paddock boots at all, although I have owned many over the years and end up giving them away due to the pain. However I recently was in a shop that carried mens, size 8 which is the same as a womens 9.5, but wider in the toe area. And, actually they can be ordered even wider still! I often have had to order a ladies in a 10 just to have room for toes. Great solution. Great boots. Worn them since Ariat girls first came out with them...a long long time ago!

It is always sad to finally have to admit your boots have seen their day. I bought my first pair of Ariat Lacers 10 years ago and it was time for a new pair. I was a little worried that they might have been discontinued, but I found them online at Ariat. If anything, they seem better made which is so unusual in this day and age. Ten years ago I bought them a size larger (6.5) to accommodate socks, so I ordered the same size. Oddly enough they were too big so I returned them for my true size and they fit perfectly. I hope, when it's time to retire these boots, Ariat will still be making them.

Sent these to my daughter who works as a surgical Vet tech in an equine vet hospital as well as farm manager and she Joust on the weekends. These are her go to work boots. They are the only ones that stand up to the punishment.

They’ve gone through barn muck, western trail riding, and every season and weather condition imaginable...yet are still going strong! I've worn nothing but Ariat's for the past 20 years. I like this boot style because you can ride w/ English or Western stirrups. This boot is strong and I get at least one year out of a pair (and I am hard on boots). The laces are cheapy though. I always have to replace them.

These where hard to break in, but once they did, I LOVE THEM! I used them for barrels, and I can put on my English halfchaps and school dressage.Theyarecomfy, and the leatheris super thick andbrokein butter soft. I'm nt sure how, but the laces where destroyed rather quickly and had to be replaced, but I did wear them through a briar patch. Will buy again, if theses ever wear out!

I buy these boots in a 9C and they fit perfectly. Have worn them for 20 years or more. Most comfortable shoe I own. Wish all my shoes were this comfortable and durable. Use them to ride, do cow and horse chores, cut wood, anything I need protection and ankle support for. I also have a bunion on my left foot which is why I wear the C width and they work great. I’m diligent about keeping them oiled since they do get wet quite often and want to protect and preserve them as much as possible. They usually last at least two years before I feel like I need to order another pair. The last pair separated where the sole and the leather come together after 3 years of wear.

Boot fits true to size. A little tight at first, but loosened in a few hours. Good support and comfortable. Nice looking boot.

I bought this boot about 20 years ago and really loved it. I was very happy to find it again. I ordered the boots and received them a few days ago. I really love the boots. They are exactly the same as the old boots. A little stiff at first but that is to be expected. I know from the last pair I had that they will soften up. The last pair were so comfortable I wore them all day every day. I have never had a pair of boots as comfortable as these. GREAT JOB ARIAT!!!!

The boot was fine except we need a leather sole, not a rubber sole. She uses these boots for goat tying.

This is my third pair and they are just as comfortable as before, though some features have changed. One thing I would improve is, there is no slot in the tongue for the laces so the tongue slips over the side and is annoying. I'm going to remedy that. It has been 5 years since my last pair bit the dust, but I broke an ankle last October and wanted comfortable boots for extra support. The height on these are just right and are comfortable for walking. True to size.

The first time I put on Ariat boots, I bought them and have been wearing them for riding ever since that first purchase. I decided to try somethingnewandbought western style boots. They were well built andattractive but the toe was much longer than my toes. The toe box was slightly more narrow than I was used to but the actual length of the toe area in the boot was too long and too awkward to deal with so I sent them back and got some English paddock boots.

I have narrow, flat feet. From the moment I put on these boots they were so comfortable. I just bought my 3rd pair, my second brown pair. My first pair has lasted many years, but it was time for boots. Because of the narrow feet and ankles the laces are way to long, and the tongue on the boot keeps slipping to the outside (This did not happen with the black boots.) I had the shoe repair man tack the tongue to the inside of the boot to take care of the problem.

I have been wearing these lacers for years, thanks to a recommendation of a friend of my mom's who knows about the trouble I have had with my feet since I was a kid. They are by far the best boots I have ever tried, and I will stick with them! After all, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. ;)

Compared to a pair of older Ariat lacers of the same indicated size, 71/2, they are longer but will do...width is ok, leather is heavier, stitchedsolesinstead ofthe bondedones is better

I owned a brown pair in 2005 and used them for years. I loved them then as I do now. The quality and comfort are great. The only issue I have is that the tongue on the left boot does not stay in place. It shifts to the outer left.

These boots are comfortable and fit right. The price was reasonable. The service and delivery was fast and I will buy again in the future. I recommend buying from Sheplers, I rate the over all service 4.5 stars out of 5.

I am a Teacher/Ranger at Fort Davis National Historic Site. I spend 4-5 hours a day in an 1870's Living History costume (corset and all.) My feet were solid blisters. Now that I have these boots it is "heaven." They look and feel great. I think I might have even survived the wagon ride west with these. They are my 2nd pair of ARIAT's and I love them both!

I was not expecting these boots to be ready to wear. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on straight through the end of the day. They fit great and that’s saying something. I have extremely high arches and extra wide calves. I am able to lace these up with no problems.

I absolutely love these lacer boots. I was able to ride comfortable in them right away - I didn't need to break them in, although I'm sure they will only get more comfortable with time. The arch and ankle support make for a very comfortable and secure fit. I had a pair of boots just like these when I was little (in bright red) so they are also kinda sentimental. I get lots of compliments on them at the stable. Highly recommend for a comfortable and stylish riding boot.

Lovely boots, much longer and wider than Heritage IV Paddock Boot (comparing size 7.5W) they fit my top wide and skinny ankle-foot without any issues. My only issue is that the right side seems to bother the ankle area of my foot. Trying to decide if to keep or return

Thanks for continuing to make a lace up boot for those with an instep that won't fit into regular boot tops. About to order a couple of extra pair for my very hard to fit husband. He says these are very comfortable on the first day of wear.

I love these boots. First pair of Ariat I've own. Great for work or just everyday wear.

I bought my first pair of Heritage Lacers about 19 years ago and have purchased two additional pairs over the years. I love this boot. It is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn straight out of the box.

Great work boots. The distressed leather takes a little while to break in but once they are, you can wear them all day.

I fell in love with these boots online so I went to my local store and ordered them, they took an enormously long timeto arrive, 4 weeks! Sheesh,I amnormally a 71/2 andIordered a 7 but when Igot them theywerestill a bit long? I contemplated taking them back? The heels when not done up tight and all the way slip, I do have extrememly tiny ankles and heels so maybe it's just the size of my foot. I feel like though a 6 1/2 will be too tight everywhere else, I did read that they make the toes longer then normal so for easy stirrup pick up which makes sense but not sure if that was the intention or if it was just a wierdly designed shoe? Because of the time it took to come in i don't think I will exchange otherwise it will be another 4 weeks or so to get that size and then if its too small....... Ne ways I'll live with it but they are beautiful. The leather does scratch easily but thats what adds the original look later on, I have the brown leather ones. They are comfy and a bit stiff right now, but the leather is nicer and seems more durable then the english paddock boots I've tried on. I will keep, I love how i can wear them with tights and or jeans :)

I bought the lower version of these boots which are a bit lower and still love them. I have reconditioned, resoled and repaired and they are still waterproof ! The leather is outstanding and the brown color has worn in nicely. They run a bit small and narrow so if you wear heavy socks size up about a half size .

Loved the fit and the look of the boot. I did however return as I needed more of a work style boot. But was so tempted to keep, as it was a fashionable lace up boot. Great looking on - with jeans and would go with a skirt. But I needed a work function type boot flexible for both yard work and interior remodeling chaos. The boot looked to lovely to be splattered with paint or plaster. Can see why it is a nice boot for riding and light barn related activity. It is a trail to table kind-a-boot.

Since I have a pair of Ariat Fat Baby and it fit well, I decided to get a different style to add to my collection of western boots. To my surprise, the Heritage Lacer fit was perfect. I wore it for eight hours on the day I received it and it was the most comfortable boots next to the Fat Baby. Ariat boots do live up to their style of quality and comfort.

True to size and very comfortable! Will buy them again and again and again!

As all things Ariat, these boots are of top quality. I have had numerous pairs of them and use them almost daily in barn/horse related activities. They are not "waterproof" but have held up well in wet conditions and shine up nicely if you want to go somewhere without dust and dirt on your shoes.

I was so surprised at how comfortable these boots were. I opened them and decided to walk around in my place to break them in. No need for that as the insides have so much cushion and comfort. Your going to love these boots.

This is my 4th pair of similar Ariat boots and they have been high quality, long lasting and durable. There is no breakin time, I wore this pair for 3 days in total comfort. They are also beautiful. I bought this particular pair because it is available in a C width and I have a bunion on the left foot. So happy with it!

I love my Heritage lacers. I have had them for about 6 or 7 years and wear them for dress-and going to and from work inthe winter. They arevery comfortableand keep my feetwarm. I have an evenolderpairof brownlacers that I still wear, they last like iron.

These boots were immediately comfortable right out of the box. I can wear them all day long with no rubbing, no issues whatsoever. Ariat is my go-to company for boots!
