[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second pair of these boots I've purchased. They are great boots!! Super comfortable, waterproof, and they hold up extremely well to all of the harsh working conditions they endure on a daily basis.

I have been working on fairly tough job sites in these boots for a little over a year. I tend toward a full height logging boot for ankle support. I am on uneven, rocky ground most of the time. I was looking for something that would fit comfortably and be tough enough to protect my feet. These appeared to be pretty well reinforced on the sides and heals. I did add some abrasion resistant material to the outside of the toes as I tend to tear up the toes of my boots fairly quickly. The boots are very comfortable and have performed very well and on several occasions have protected my feet from serious injury. On one occasion I jumped down from about a 3 foot cut and landed on a rebar stake with my heal, it hurt but I was amazed to walk away without a real injury.

I ordered these boots back in November for work.. they met my works requirements for a pair of boots.. I’ve completely worn these boots out in 4 months.. I’ve gotten cheaper boots to last longer and still be comfortable much longer than 4 months of working. Will probably be the last pair of Ariats I buy for work unfortunately.. was not impressed.

I've had about 5 pair in 5 years due to my job and 6'10" 370lb frame wearing these things out and they are my favorite boot. Comfortable. They take a better beating than other boots I've worn. And the waterproofing is a huge plus. However I ordered a new pair in the same size I've always had and I couldn't fit my toes in them. They were way too narrow and tight. Had to go up a size and order a wide. I don't know if sizing has changed since last July when I ordered but if you do get these boots I recommend going up a size at least.

I’m on my 5th pair of 8” Intrepid Work Boots. The only weakness is the lack of a rubber cap over the toe to protect the nose of the boot from wearing through to the reinforced toe. Waterproofing gone when that happens. Insole, Sole, Uppers, Counter. All solid. Make the improvement. Keep a customer.

I have only worn these a month. In that month, I have worn them 5 days a week at work. I work on a ramp for aircraft, so I’m constantly standing or walking on pavement in all weather conditions. First impressions, I was impressed with the felt quality of the leather and true to size fit (I ordered the same size as my slip on ariats). When I laced them up, they fit snug but were not constricting for my toes or the rest of my feet. As I’ve worn them, they’ve broken in great, still feel just as comfortable, and the outsole has not worn down very much at all from the pavement. These boots have only suffered minor cosmetic damage and none of the seams are coming out. When walking on ice, I’ve still maintained good footing and grip. These boots have gotten soaked from rain without getting any water in the boot, so the waterproof feature is working great as of yet. All in all, these boots are holding up better than my last pair of boots from another well known company that began tearing apart after only a month in the same conditions. I am very happy with my purchase.

Thanks for letting me share my opinion. The presentation of the product is really good, as well the quality of boot and cushioning,but the sizing is 1/2 a number bigger and when is used for over 5hrs is very uncomfortable for the type of work that I do. Makes it really hard on my feet at the end of the day , toes, ankles and talus.

I am getting ready to order my 4th pair of these boots! Not due to them wearing out, but simply due to the fact that my work buys us a pair each year. Honestly, I could probably get another year or so out my current pair. They are very comfortable, light, and have proven to be very durable. Great work, Ariat!

These boots are obviously thoughtful in design. Well crafted and well oiled leather, comfortable for long periods of wear. They look good and wear well. Good job Ariat!

Its one year already and this amazing boot still looks good and in good working condition. will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a durable and comfortable working boots.

I bought this boot in January 2017. It is now December 2020 and I just had to get rid of them! I am a dozer operator and have put a tough beating all them climbing up and down on machines and then doing a lot of Labor work also. I religiously put saddle soap on them and some mink oil during the wet season and perhaps that's why they lasted as long. However if you do the same thing you cannot beat these boots for their quality I can promise you that! Unfortunately you can only get them online and not down the road. Ariat you should bring these boots back!

Great boot very sturdy and comfortable.............

I have gotten several of these boots and never had any issues. But this last par I got within a week the soul of the boot started coming undone and had an eyelet pop out it seems like the quality has gone down hill I sent them back under warranty so I will try a different boot next time. It’s too bad cuz I really like these boots. Maybe it was just a bad batch idk.

The Intrepid has been my boot of choice for several years now. High enough for support and protection. Composite toe doesn’t get cold like steel. Great boot

They are very uncomfortable can't wear them for more than 4 hours before having to change boots wish I could return them

I have used many brand boots and I always wear them on one side and my daughter gave me a pair of these boots and I love them, I have already had them for two years and they are still good but I think it is time I changed them for others of the same

I have always wanted Ariat Boots, but have found it difficult to find one that I could get my foot in. I liked the look of this boot and decided to order a pair. I am glad I did. These boots cured bruised feet, aching knees and an aching back in less than a week. Do I like them? I ordered a second pair! I am 5'8" and 216 pounds. A little heavy for size 9.5, but I am on my feet most of the day and these are more comfortable than a pair of running shoes! Ariats have always seemed narrow to me because I have a high instep, so I ordered wide. They don't look wide, but they fit like a glove

Got the boot straight out of the box and put it on and felt great from the start! No break in period just out of box ready to go. Seem durable also! Fits how they say don’t need to up or down size.

Boots are amazingly comfortable. It took me about 2 weeks of working in them to 'break them in" my feet were sore during those weeks and I can only imagine because the stiffness of soles. They feel great now and I hope they last longer than my Carhartts or Redwings.

what impresses me most is the waterproof quality of this boot. my previous per from another brand which was supposed to be waterproof wasnt. my feet were soaked when i'm working in a wet area.. but the downside on mine was; the stiches on the side and the front started coming out after 7months. they were very comfortable though.

I have tried on and worn many boots in the last 16 years. Many of those boots were military/tactical boots because of my military service. I am very skeptical when it comes to ordering boots online, especially from a company I have never tried before. This is my first pair of work boots from Ariat and I am simply amazed at how they feel. I am still bewildered at the size that I got and how well they fit right out of the box. These boots fit my work style. I have a more dress casual than getting my boots dirty. Very nice look and very comfortable. Easy to lace up and were even pre-laced in the box. All I had to do was try them on. I have a hot spot working on my big toe, but that is only because my calluses have gone away! Would I recommend this boot to others? You betcha! They look good on me and have already received compliments on how good they look.

I have had several pair of the slip ons first pair of these in lace ups they hold up the longest and stay waterproof my only complaint is they are very hot and heavy i had to go back to my old boots until it cools off

Didn't need to break them in. Its like the boots were ready to go to work. I will for sure buy these sets for now on

Light weight, great support, comfortable work boot

Husband ended up with a cut foot he tried wearing them for three days. Ended up in the nurses station with his foot wrapped in gauze and bleeding. Had both my son's try the boots on both had the same complaint . Would not recomend

Dont buy them I bought about a month ago and they were ok at first. Thought they just needed to break in. They have only gotten worse everyday i wear them. Its now to the point where it hurts to walk after a 10hr shift. Almost feels like my heels are walking on razors. Ive replaced the inserts twice and still doesnt help. Wish i got a new pair of Irish setters instead.

Great boots But I have not heard back from warranty on my other pair that are falling apart that are only about 6 months old
