The tongue folds over where it meets the boot and bites the ankle painfully. This goes away after about 20 hours of wear, bit wearing a thick sock will help. Aside from that very nice boot.

Have been wearing Redwings for almost 20 years now. The last 5 I feel there American made 1412s have gone down hill. Been looking for another USA made boot hope I found it in Thorogood. First impression is a nicely made boot comfortable as a sneaker. They say waterproof but with all the stitches I doubt that but I know that going into them. I have been wearing these for a few weeks and they are finally broken in. Very comfortable leather and sole. Good quality. Little heavy. Fits true to size.

Second day wearing them went quail hunting. Great traction, very sturdy and pretty comfortable even though they are hardly broken in. Looking forward to lots of hikes in these boots. I wish the heel was a little taller for uphill but overall, these are good boots.

I bought these almost a year ago, I quit wearing them 6months ago! These are the most uncomfortable boots I've ever strapped on my feet! Within an hour my feet hurt! I wasted dang near $300 on these worthless things!

Worst quality I’ve seen in a pair of boots. Might just be this model. I have the heritage pair for work and love them.

Extremely uncomfortable boots. The way the tongue is sewn into the boot causes pressure on my ankles. They’re just about unwearable.
