This hat would have got a 5-star rating because it is a great looking hat, but a $200 + hat should at least fit. I ordered a 7 1/4 hat and it was so tight I bet it was a 6 1/2 or 6 3/4 size. The only explanation is that it was miss marked when it was made. The hat arrived in a beat-up Cody James box and was covered in white lint. I am not sure why all the lint but that should not have been on the box. I took the hat to a local Boot Barn but was less than satisfied with the manager who brought out a hat that was way too big and a totally different color as a possible exchange. It seemed to me that she didn't believe I knew my own hat size. I returned the hat. I have three other Cody James hats that fit perfectly so this was an anomaly. I am a long time Boot Barn customer and have never had this happen before so hopefully this was a one off.
