Great pair of boots! Well constructed, great value for the money

I bought these for my 13 year old son; he has large feet and these in a 12 wide fit him well. He loves Ariat boots for their comfort and the American flag designs on the uppers. He wears these to go places (not as a farm boot) and to show his horse in. They are not too bulky to get in and out of the stirrup or to jog around the showmanship ring.

My review is in two parts. Quality? For the price I'll rate it 4 because it looks like it was well made and the leather was very soft and the toe box was perfect. Fit? I'll have to give it a 2 because it was too soft, had no support and I'd have to have wide, thick feet to fill the boot in. 95% of all shoes and boots are D and E (E -EEE, etc.) and my feet are B width. I've found that only Dan Post offers to models in B width and Double H one. Any way I can usually fill in a shoe/boot by using a thicker insole. I could not with these because when I installed one it made the toe box too tight. I can tell if a shoe/boot fits if a take a walk that includes some downhill. I took a mile walk and I should have turned around about a block away. This boot's fit was so loose and sloppy that I was unhappy by the time I got back home. I returned these boots immediately. Thank God for Boot Barn's return policy. Warning, these boots are for men who have wide and very thick feet. Or are willing to invest a lot in padding to fill the inside in.

The boots are like walking in a cloud. The leather is supple and the boot is perfectly patriotic. I absolutely love them.
