Miranda Lambert is up for ACM Entertainer of the Year. She’s competing with so many of our favorites, (including her husband!), it’s nearly impossible to pick sides. That said, we’d be delighted to see Miranda win. Here’s why:

She’s Fresh

Miranda has a new album launching in June that we LOVE! Yes, we heard a special preview and we are sure you’re going to agree this album is some of Miranda’s best work.

Miranda, who wrote half of the album’s 16 songs, described the album like a picture. “All 16 songs together make up a picture, and without one of those songs, it just looks like abstract art,” she said. “I wanted it to be perfect; I wanted it to matter,” she continued.

She Makes Us Better

Anyone can sing about breakups, and Miranda kills it in that genre, but she’s also incredibly encouraging. About the new album Miranda says: ““There’s girl power, not in the ‘I’m gonna burn your house down and kill you, but more where I am as a 30- year-old woman and wife. I’m more settled in life, embracing the good and the bad, and that’s all reflected on Platinum.  I still blaze around – but in a less chaotic way.”

She Seems Like an Awesome Friend

Miranda can rock the red carpet, but she’s also the country girl next door we all wanted to be best friends with. Aside from the obvious reasons of just being a really cool girl and seemingly down-to-earth, we can think of several reasons you would have been best friends with Miranda Lambert in high school. (Spoiler: She likes dogs and owns a winery.)

Of course, there’s also the great music.

You can vote for Miranda every day until April 6th.
