Long known as one of the best brands for jeans, Wrangler Jeans holds a place in every would-be cowboy’s (or cowgirl’s) heart. Jeans may just seem like the same denim no matter what label is on the back of them, but that is really not the case when it comes to the style and quality that is so common with this brand. Take a look at the history of these jeans to see why they should be a component to any wardrobe, for work or for play.
The History of Wrangler’s Denim
First made by a company called Blue Bell, Wrangler Jeans date back to the middle of the 1940s. A Polish tailor named Bernard Lichtenstein, also known as Rodeo Ben later on, was the inspiration behind them. He worked with the local cowboys to help design a special pair of pant meant to provide men a durable, good looking pant. These pants were originally meant for the rodeo.
The style introduced in 1947 is still sold today (lot number 11MWZ) because it is so popular. Of course, the company has released a number of different jeans over the years since, some of which provide for the needs of the average teen while others are dressy enough to wear to the office.
Wearing These Jeans Well
Anyone can slip on a pair of jeans, but some people will find that when you pull on a pair of high quality jeans, the feeling is completely different. These are made of a higher quality denim, without the stretchy material in them that is often found in inexpensive products. Here are some tips for wearing these properly.
- Choose the style you want, from slim fit to loose fit. The goal is to ensure they fit your body well. They should hug your hips, or just below the hips, and be comfortable along your legs.
- Pairing them with a great pair of leather boots is an easy way to sell the look. However, Wrangler Jeans look fantastic with high heels, especially the darker colors, as well as a great pair of tennis shoes when you are planning on doing some walking.
- Darker colors, such as the Cowboy Cut Jeans, are perfect for a dressy appearance, matching well with a button down shirt. Lighter colors are perfect for patterns or t-shirts.
There’s no reason not to love Wrangler Jeans. The high quality they offer coupled with the durable quality and the fantastic style make them the perfect combination for virtually any need. These are jeans destined to be worn thin after years of everyday wear.
